Forced to Sell Myself to the Female Lead After Killing the Male Lead

Whoooom—

Accompanied by a terrifying surge of energy, the black light exploded outward!

Benjamin’s body was instantly pierced through by countless black spikes!

A heart-rending scream immediately echoed across the sky!

Blood splattered everywhere, while the magic rifle Benjamin had been holding was torn to pieces by the black light.

After a series of ghost-like shrieks and agonized howls,

as the pain gradually lessened, Benjamin slowly regained a little of his reason.

Filled with terror, he opened his eyes and stared at the horrifying black liquid suppressing him.

What... what the hell is this?!

Benjamin screamed inwardly.

However,

when he finally saw the familiar figure wrapped inside the black liquid,

he immediately stopped breathing.

Cold sweat poured down his forehead like rain.

His wildly pounding heart felt as though it were about to burst out of his chest.

T-This can’t be!! H-How... how is this possible?!

Reflected in Benjamin’s blue eyes,

within that eerie black liquid,

was a pink-haired little girl.

The black liquid coiled around her delicate body.

She was an adorable and beautiful young girl.

Silky pink hair flowed like water, cascading gracefully down over her slender shoulders.

Her clear, bright eyes possessed heterochromia—one blue, one crimson.

Graceful eyebrows.

Long eyelashes that trembled gently.

Flawless fair skin tinged with a delicate rosy hue.

Thin lips as tender and inviting as rose petals.

There was no doubt.

The pink-haired girl was incomparably lovely.

Given time,

she would undoubtedly grow into a beauty capable of toppling nations.

And yet...

this exquisitely delicate little girl made Benjamin look as though he had seen a ghost.

His face was filled with utter horror.

How could he possibly fail to recognize that familiar face?

It belonged to the person who, in his mind,

should already have been dead...

“Yuan’er?! You’re... you’re still alive?!”

After coughing up several mouthfuls of blood, Benjamin couldn’t stop himself from crying out.

He had no idea why Yuan’er had not only survived but had also become this horrifying existence...

Why had she become an Abyss Demon?!

But judging from the aura radiating from her body,

Benjamin knew one thing—

the pink-haired girl before him was no longer the Yuan’er he had once known.

The pressure emitted by that black light was unlike anything he had ever experienced.

Benjamin even felt as though his very soul were about to be crushed.

More importantly,

boundless terror flooded his heart like an endless torrent,

completely drowning him in a swamp of fear.

The moment he remembered everything he had done to Yuan’er...

The moment he remembered how he had persecuted both her and her older sister...

Benjamin couldn’t stop trembling.

?!!

S-She... she’s here for revenge?!

Meeting the girl’s nearly lifeless heterochromatic eyes,

Benjamin immediately began struggling frantically.

No! No! I don’t want to die!

I can’t die!

I’m going to become the Marquis! I can’t die! I haven’t even sat on that seat yet!

“Y-Yuan’er!! I... I really didn’t mean to hurt you back then! Your sister’s death—and your father and mother’s deaths—had nothing to do with me! It was all the Heavenly Punishment Holy Church! If you want revenge, go after them! N-Not me!! Don’t come after me!!...”

...

Overcome with panic,

Benjamin completely ignored the agonizing pain throughout his body and desperately begged Yuan’er for mercy.

However,

the pink-haired girl merely looked at him quietly.

There wasn’t the slightest emotion within her dull heterochromatic eyes.

Their indifference alone was enough to send chills down anyone’s spine.

The less Yuan’er reacted,

the more terrified Benjamin became.

“N-No, Yuan’er! Y-You can’t kill me! We’re family! I’m your older brother!! When we were little, I took care of you all the time!”

Desperate to survive,

Benjamin tried to appeal to their family bond.

At the same time,

his eyes darted frantically in every direction,

searching for Welt-Sislov.

He hoped the cult leader would save him.

However,

before Benjamin could even locate Welt-Sislov,

the silent Yuan’er unexpectedly reacted.

Tilting her head,

she looked curiously at the utterly miserable pink-haired man.

“B-Brother?”

Upon hearing that familiar voice,

Benjamin nodded frantically.

“Yes! Yes! I’m your brother, Benjamin! Y-You can’t kill your own brother... r-right?”

“...”

However,

the instant Benjamin uttered the name Benjamin,

Yuan’er’s expression suddenly turned ice-cold.

It was as though that name had triggered something inside her.

A horrifying bloodlust gradually surfaced within her heterochromatic eyes.

At this moment,

although Yuan’er had successfully inherited Yumo’s power and become a new Demon King-Class existence,

her consciousness had not fully awakened.

She remained trapped in a hazy state of chaos.

Everything she had done earlier—

slaughtering the Brave,

coming to Wind Facing City—

had all been driven purely by instinct.

Strictly speaking,

Yuan’er’s mind was in complete turmoil.

Her human nature and Abyss Demon instincts were constantly merging,

constantly clashing against one another...

Originally,

Yuan’er had instinctively wanted to kill Benjamin.

But after seeing the devastated state of the Duke Family estate,

she had frozen in place.

If Benjamin had simply kept his mouth shut,

he might still have had the slightest chance of survival.

But now...

“Y-Yuan’er?!”

Seeing the killing intent within Yuan’er’s eyes grow heavier and heavier,

Benjamin’s fear became even more overwhelming.

His face twisted grotesquely from sheer terror.

It was nauseating to behold.

Just as he was about to continue begging,

intense agony suddenly erupted from every wound across his body.

Benjamin instantly let out another bloodcurdling scream.

“AAAAAAAHHHHHHH!! N-No!! Please don’t!!! Yuan’er, you... you can’t kill me... I am your—”

Benjamin’s cries accomplished nothing.

Instead,

the madness upon Yuan’er’s face only became more intense.

More and more black spikes pierced through Benjamin’s body.

The pain should have been enough to make anyone lose consciousness.

Yet Benjamin remained inexplicably awake.

But...

what good did remaining conscious do?

He had absolutely no ability to resist.

All he could do was continue letting out helpless screams.

Accompanied by Benjamin’s cries,

which sounded almost like beautiful music,

the dozens of black spikes piercing his body suddenly began radiating black light.

As the black radiance grew brighter,

Benjamin’s body gradually withered,

shriveling into a dried corpse.

His life force was continuously being drained away.

Even his pleading and crying became weaker and weaker.

Boundless despair,

together with unimaginable agony,

consumed his mind.

“N-No... w-why... why is this happening... I don’t...”

However,

before Benjamin could even finish his final words,

apparently finding him too noisy,

Yuan’er frowned slightly.

A whip formed from black energy suddenly lashed outward!

Under Marquis Xiumu-Duke’s horrified gaze,

Benjamin—

still screaming—

had half of his head instantly blown away.

His cries stopped abruptly.

He was dead beyond any possibility of recovery.

Brain matter and blood splattered across the ground.

After being stained with fresh blood,

Yuan’er’s adorable little face appeared even more eerie and sinister.

To Marquis Xiumu-Duke,

she felt even more unfamiliar than before.

Yuan’er... h-how... how did you become like this...

Witnessing everything unfold,

Marquis Xiumu-Duke couldn’t help clenching both fists.

Overwhelming conflict surged through the old Marquis’ heart.

Yuan’er being alive

should have been something worthy of celebration.

But...

if Yuan’er had become like this...

She had become an Abyss Demon?!

For Marquis Xiumu-Duke,

who had hated Abyss Demons and fought them his entire life,

this was nothing less than a bolt from the blue.

The Yuan’er of the past,

although somewhat spoiled,

had been kind at heart.

She had also been timid.

Yet the gentle girl who had once been unable to kill even a chicken

had now slaughtered Benjamin without changing her expression.

She had even revealed such a cruel smile.

Was she really Yuan’er?

Or...

was she merely a monster wearing Yuan’er’s skin?

As though trying to verify his own fears,

Marquis Xiumu-Duke endured the intense pain and slowly spoke.

Gathering every ounce of courage,

he forced himself to stand.

“Yuan’er...”

As his voice reached the pink-haired girl’s ears,

the girl surrounded by black liquid slowly turned around,

looking toward the grief-stricken old Marquis behind her.

In that instant,

her unfamiliar gaze—

cold enough to freeze one’s soul,

filled with killing intent and bloodlust—

locked onto Marquis Xiumu-Duke.

The old Marquis’ heart stopped.

It felt as though every dreadful suspicion inside him had just been confirmed.

The pain within his heart now far surpassed the pain of his wounds.

Yuan’er... have you truly become a monster?

What... happened to you...?

Being noticed by a Demon King-Class Abyss Demon was practically a death sentence.

Yet the heartbroken Marquis no longer cared.

Helplessly,

he collapsed onto his knees once again.

In his current condition,

he simply could not withstand the pressure radiating from a Demon King-Class existence.

However,

perhaps because she sensed something,

or perhaps because Marquis Xiumu-Duke was simply too weak to pose any threat,

Yuan’er did not attack him.

Instead,

she slowly raised her head toward the sky,

toward the silver figure floating high above.

The moment she sensed the aura surrounding the silver-haired girl—

the moment she saw that golden light—

an overwhelming killing intent and violent savagery suddenly erupted from Yuan’er’s heterochromatic eyes.

And at that exact same instant,

the silver-haired girl felt a suffocating chill run through her entire body...
