Forced to Sell Myself to the Female Lead After Killing the Male Lead

The perspective returned to the guesthouse of Wind Facing City.

It was already late at night.

The welcoming banquet had come to an end. As the banquet concluded, the local nobles and wealthy merchants gradually left the guesthouse, and the members of the Black Rose Family also returned to their rooms to rest. The entire guesthouse once again fell into silence.

Taking advantage of the dead of night,

Miss Yumo quietly sneaked out of her room.

Transforming into countless Blood Butterflies, she quickly arrived at another corner of the guesthouse.

Namely, where Mengxi was currently being accommodated.

Thanks to the efforts of the Black Rose Family, Miss Mengxi had already been treated as an injured patient and placed here, waiting for members of the Asumos Church to come ”claim” her~

As for security, it was jointly handled by the Black Rose Family and the guards of Wind Facing City.

—

After confirming there was no one around,

Yumo entered Mengxi’s room and carefully opened the door.

As the door opened, the beautiful silver-haired girl sleeping on the bed appeared before Yumo.

After being taken care of by the maids of the guesthouse, Mengxi had already changed out of her bloodstained clothes. She had been cleaned up and was now dressed in a simple white cotton nightgown.

Of course, the quality of this nightgown couldn’t compare to the lace pajamas Yumo had provided before, but within Wind Facing City, it could already be considered extremely luxurious.

The entire bedroom was rather high-end.

It was clear that although the people of Wind Facing City held hostility toward the Asumos Church, they still treated the Child of Destiny with meticulous care.

Considering that the prince of the Snow Night Empire had previously launched a Magic Energy Fission Bomb against Mengxi, Yumo had worried that assassins sent by the royal family might come after her.

Now it seemed she had worried for nothing.

That bombardment had probably been the Third Prince acting on his own. At present, the Snow Night royal family was actively negotiating with the Crimson Leaf Empire and the Asumos Church...

Enmm,

things seemed to be going quite well. This environment...

However,

eh, the service didn’t seem very thorough?

Looking at Mengxi’s exposed upper body, which hadn’t been properly covered with the blanket, Miss Yumo couldn’t help showing a trace of dissatisfaction.

Although the room had heating, she could still catch a cold if she didn’t sleep properly covered!

Thinking this, Yumo slowly sat beside Mengxi’s bed and carefully tucked the blanket over the silver-haired girl...

Eh,

come to think of it, hadn’t the divine aura around here become even stronger?

Enmm, it looked like Mengxi was really about to recover.

Thinking that, Yumo smiled in relief.

Then,

Miss Yumo slowly raised her hand and stroked Mengxi’s soft little face. Feeling the springy texture of her cheeks, she couldn’t help revealing a bitter smile.

Thinking that she might never again see the little girl who had constantly acted cute, cuddled with her, and called her big sister, Yumo still felt somewhat sad.

However,

there was nothing she could do about it.

After all, the heroine would eventually recover and eventually return to the Church. She couldn’t remain in her childish state forever...

However,

recalling some strange behavior Mengxi had shown in the bath earlier, Yumo couldn’t help frowning again.

Sometimes, she genuinely wondered whether this girl had really regressed mentally...

Therefore,

to be safe, Yumo had called Shuoyue and asked her to use a false dream to overwrite Mengxi’s memories of this period.

That way,

even if she had been pretending,

Mengxi would no longer remember her.

And if she hadn’t been pretending, it would prevent her from recalling these days.

After all, Yumo was worried that Mengxi might remember her kindness and refuse to attack her in the future~

But,

no matter what, do your best~

’You still have a long road ahead of you, little cutie~’

Smiling faintly, Yumo mischievously pinched Mengxi’s face.

However, even while pinching her, Yumo vigilantly kept her eyes on the silver-haired girl, afraid that she would suddenly open her eyes again.

Having been startled several times already, Yumo had developed something of a psychological shadow.

After checking on the heroine, Yumo slowly stood up.

Of course,

she wasn’t planning to return to her own room.

Instead, according to her original plan, she intended to head to the living room.

After all, once Mengxi woke up in a few days, she planned to continue accompanying her growth in the identity of the slave girl.

The heroine’s current strength was still insufficient. There was still a long road ahead~

Oh,

right, she also had to help her solve some troubles within the Asumos Church.

So,

’Goodbye, big sister~’

Using the tone of the slave girl from before, Yumo teasingly said in her heart.

Then,

she carefully closed the door.

Returning to the living room, Yumo transformed into an exquisitely adorable pink-haired little girl amidst flashes of crimson Shadow of Silence Power.

However,

after suppressing her power, Yumo quickly discovered a very embarrassing problem.

Enmm, she had forgotten to change clothes.

Glancing at the black dress on her body, which had become completely ill-fitting because her body had shrunk, an embarrassed expression appeared on Yumo’s little face.

Forget it,

she’d go back and change first~

After all, everyone outside was from the Black Rose Family...

—

With Miss Yumo’s departure, silence once again returned to the bedroom.

The girl lying on the bed still had her eyes tightly shut, showing no signs of waking.

Clearly, this time Mengxi wasn’t suddenly sitting upright like before, but remained immersed in the world of dreams.

However,

Mengxi showed no reaction,

but another existence in the room gradually became restless.

After confirming that Yumo had already left, a gentle golden light suddenly rippled from Mengxi’s chest~

As the golden light shone,

Mengxi’s already ample chest seemed to bulge even further, reaching a level others might envy.

Of course,

this wasn’t because Mengxi’s chest had suddenly developed again...

The next moment,

as the light faded, the blanket covering her chest was abruptly pushed aside.

A cute creature with ruby-red eyes and pure white fur, resembling both a cat and a rabbit, suddenly sat on top of Mengxi’s chest.

”Damn, that almost scared me to death...”

I thought I’d been discovered!

Wcao, that woman actually came to Wind Facing City too?

How did she even get in?!

The QB-like existence named Sakura panted nervously.

Fortunately, she had noticed the red light flashing outside the room earlier and, just as before, hid inside Mengxi’s spiritual world. Otherwise, she might have run right into that woman!

Although she didn’t know why that woman hadn’t harmed Mengxi,

who knew whether she would attack her instead?!

After all, her body had been entirely created from the Goddess’s divine power!

It could be said that, to Abyss Demons, her body naturally attracted hatred. If she were caught, there was a ninety percent chance she’d be eaten alive.

That was why, during all this time in the Great Winter Forest, she had held her breath and hidden inside Mengxi’s spiritual world.

Only today, after no longer sensing that terrifying invisible pressure, had she secretly slipped out.

Of course,

Sakura’s thoughts were extremely complicated at the moment.

Initially, she had thought the Abyss Demons wanted to imprison Mengxi inside the Great Winter Forest.

Unexpectedly, after confirming that there were no others nearby, she came out to investigate and was astonished to discover that they had already returned to human territory—to Wind Facing City?!

Although she didn’t know why that terrifying woman had released them, Sakura was still overjoyed after realizing they had returned to human lands.

Well,

although she had almost been discovered just now,

fortunately she had been clever enough to hide in time!

A close call, a close call...

If something had really happened,

how could she explain it to Lady Linling...

Forget it,

no point thinking about that.

What’s important is Mengxi’s condition!

After letting out a long breath, the little creature resembling QB once again focused on Mengxi’s pretty face.

Pale golden divine power gradually gathered around Sakura and covered Mengxi’s body.

After confirming there was nothing wrong with Mengxi physically, Sakura finally relaxed.

However, in the next moment,

a trace of seriousness flashed through her red eyes.

This...

What was this?

Miss Mengxi’s mind was covered by some kind of energy?!

This... this was Shadow of Silence Power?!

Realizing this instantly, Sakura became furious and snorted coldly with a look of ”just as I thought.”

”Hmph~”

I knew that woman wasn’t up to anything good!

There was no way she’d simply send Miss Mengxi back to human society!

They really tampered with Miss Mengxi’s memories!

Are they trying to turn Miss Mengxi into one of their own?!

Then have her destroy the Asumos Church and humanity’s resistance from within?!

Heh,

as expected of Abyss Demons. Despicable as always!

However...

In the next instant, dazzling golden light suddenly burst forth from Sakura’s body and slowly flowed into Mengxi’s mind!

”Hmph! As long as I’m here, there’s no way your plans will succeed!”

Although my physical combat ability is weak,

my spiritual power is terrifying~

Thus,

under the continuous cleansing of Sakura’s golden divine power,

inside Mengxi’s body,

the power left behind by Shuoyue was gradually worn away, bit by bit...
