All Worlds Beg the Villainess to Act Like a Human

Chapter 539: Chapter 539: The Terminally Ill Heiress on Death Game Island (55)

”Starting tomorrow, you will be sparring with tigers.”

Huo Yi was stunned for a moment, but quickly accepted the outcome. His strength had increased significantly recently, and sparring with Fang Qing at the gym was no longer satisfying.

Previously, he found some of the heavy gym equipment quite challenging to use.

Ever since practicing the cultivation technique given to him by Qiann Yan, the weight of the equipment seemed less significant to him; sometimes he felt it was not challenging enough and ended up sparring with Fang Qing instead.

However, they couldn’t really go all out against each other, which hindered knowing the extent of his strength. He was eager to find out exactly how strong he had become.

He wasn’t sure if he could defeat a tiger. Even if he couldn’t kill one like Qiann Yan, he believed he could survive a spar for five minutes.

In this past month, they were called to perform about once or twice a week.

It became increasingly difficult to guess the correct answer each time; not every correct answer was controlled by their own team. Several times, their guesses felt more like luck.

Yet, ever since they began practicing, they weren’t as fearful anymore.

At night, they practiced Internal Cultivation Methods, while during the day they sparred at the gym whenever they were free.

After about ten days of practice, the two of them felt that at the very least, they could escape a tiger even if it would be very dire.

Now, they both believed survival was definitely achievable.

Huo Yi was quite excited, while Fang Qing also felt a hint of excitement, though instinctively a bit fearful.

Truth be told, before entering here she was the delicate type of girl who would find carrying a bucket exhausting.

Since entering, she had changed a lot.

Even though she was a bit worried inside, she knew facing the tigers was inevitable. With her luck, she couldn’t always choose correctly. Recently her luck had been good only because the game hadn’t been intentionally targeting them.

Who knows, someday the game might introduce new tricks to target them, and they might not choose the right answer.

Fang Qing’s mind calmed down again, realizing she truly didn’t fear dying here anymore; even if she couldn’t escape, she should be able to survive.

Gripping the military knife, she understood why Qiann Yan went to purchase weapons.

”Why didn’t anyone buy weapons in the past?” Fang Qing asked, puzzled. According to Bai Huai, he was among the first group to enter, so why hadn’t anyone thought of buying weapons over the ten years of the Death Game Island’s existence?

Bai Huai didn’t speak. Thanks to his talent, he never considered purchasing weapons to combat beasts.

As for how other players felt, he was unsure.

”Had either of you thought about buying weapons in the mall prior to this?” Qiann Yan asked.

Huo Yi and Fang Qing were stunned; they truly hadn’t considered that weapons could be bought in the mall.

That mall doesn’t display items openly; you must input what you want to purchase.

Everyone was brought here, so who would have thought they could buy these things?

It seems like human habits wouldn’t lead one to think you could buy weapons here.

Qiann Yan said, ”Starting tomorrow, if I’m the one challenging, stand behind the cages of beasts. There’s abundant rewards on the hint. You lie.”

Huo Yi asked, ”Can your body handle it?”

”Yes, it’s only once a day. Even though it’s tiring, killing a beast allows for a day’s rest and earns one and a half million points, which is worth it.”

Bai Huai refused, saying, ”I don’t want to lie.”
