All Worlds Beg the Villainess to Act Like a Human

Chapter 331: Chapter 331: The Abused Protagonist Awakens (Part 7)

Perhaps it was Jing Lingyu’s instructions, but the people in the mansion were not very welcoming to her, nor did they prepare food for her, let alone come over to tell her anything about the Prince Mansion.

Qiann Yan removed the excess ornaments from her head and asked a maid to style her hair simply before she pushed the door open and went out.

The maid bit her lip and could only follow, wondering why the lady’s temperament had become increasingly strange. Wasn’t she afraid the Prince would dislike her if she acted this way just after the wedding?

Qiann Yan knew what the maid was thinking, after all, she was also waiting for her chance to rise in station.

In the original plot, the maid Qiao Xin successfully climbed the social ladder and became Jing Lingyu’s concubine, often showing off and speaking sarcastically in front of the original protagonist. How could she expect a pleasant demeanor from Qiann Yan?

Now that Jing Lingyu was out of favor, Qiao Xin couldn’t climb that ladder, and she might even be subjected to some harsh treatment, which she would just have to endure.

Qiann Yan walked out of the room and found that someone was actually guarding the door. When they saw her come out, their expressions were very indifferent, asking her what she intended to do.

”Bring me something to eat.”

She had been busy all morning and had only eaten a piece of pastry. The Minister couple, afraid of some inauspiciousness, did not give her any food.

The person at the door said coldly, ”We are not responsible for that. The Princess Consort should ask someone else.”

Qiann Yan stood still and observed the two.

The two were so unnerved under her gaze that within a few breaths, their legs started to tremble, and they couldn’t withstand it, kneeling immediately. At this moment, they were already drenched in sweat, their faces pale as paper.

”If you can’t even get some food, you’re not needed here. Get lost.”

The two wanted to say something, but their bodies wouldn’t obey their brains; they ran off, rolling and crawling.

Qiann Yan had the original protagonist’s memories, and according to those memories, she headed toward the kitchen. Qiao Xin, not knowing what she intended to do, ran up and grabbed her: ”Princess Consort, this is against the rules, it will anger the Prince.”

Qiann Yan stood still, turned around, and scrutinized Qiao Xin: ”You want to teach me how to do things?”

”No, this servant means...” Qiao Xin felt a bit resentful inside. How could the Princess Consort live well in the Prince Mansion if she was so arrogant?

Even though she was the Princess Consort, the real master of this vast mansion was still Prince Ling.

Such arrogant behavior, how could Prince Ling like it?

In the past, at the Minister’s Mansion, the Princess Consort was a gentle and well-behaved person. Now that she became the Princess Consort, her true nature was exposed. If Prince Ling knew her true self, he might regret this marriage.

She was thinking for the Princess Consort’s benefit, yet the other party still blamed her. Truly, good intentions were treated as worthless.

”Don’t forget, you are someone I brought over.”

”What you need to do is listen to me.”

”If you cannot do that, you can leave today.”

Hearing this, Qiao Xin panicked and knelt down: ”This servant knows her mistake. Please don’t drive me away, Princess Consort. From now on, I will listen to you.”

Qiann Yan lowered her gaze, having expected that this high-minded little maid would be reluctant to leave.

She looked at Qiao Xin’s hand gripping her thigh so tightly that it turned white, showing how angry she must have been inside.

If she wanted to stay and seek trouble, how could Qiann Yan not let her?

The original protagonist never treated Qiao Xin harshly, treating her like a sister. Yet, Qiao Xin betrayed the original protagonist and exploited Jing Lingyu to humiliate the original protagonist, nearly costing her life.

Qiann Yan ignored Qiao Xin and walked towards the kitchen according to her memory.

If the Prince Mansion would not give her food, then she would just go to the kitchen to eat.

She expected that people in the Prince Mansion wouldn’t dare spread this matter. If it got out that the mansion wouldn’t feed the Princess Consort, wouldn’t that be a laughingstock for the entire Capital City?

As for the drastic change in temperament, marrying someone she didn’t like and receiving poor treatment, it was only natural for her to change.
