Invincible Blood Sorceror

Chapter 67: Hawkin in armored suit

He was fast—faster than any normal human had a right to be. The breastplate around his chest, which seemed like an ornament until now, suddenly started spreading around his arms and legs, covering his whole body in a full-sized heavy armour.

It hummed with power; unlike the last one, this one looked more trimmed and powerful.

His body blurred as he crossed the distance between himself and Jorghan, his own power flaring to life.

[WARNING: HIGH-LEVEL THREAT APPROACHING]

[ESTIMATED POWER LEVEL: NINE STAR KNIGHT]

Hawkin’s fist, wreathed in golden energy that crackled with killing power, shot toward Jorghan’s head with enough force to shatter stone.

Jorghan caught it.

His hand closed around Hawkin’s fist, stopping the blow dead.

The shockwave from the collision rippled outward, cracking what remained of the platform, sending more debris flying. Golden and crimson energy clashed where their hands met, sparking and hissing like oil on water.

For a moment, uncle and nephew stood frozen, locked in that position.

His burning gaze bore into the helmet-covered eyes of Hawkin.

His free hand shot forward, palm striking Hawkin’s breastplate of the armour with devastating force. The shockwave of his punch created a booming thunder. But the armour didn’t crack or have any damage; it seemed to be created from the sturdiest material.

But he couldn’t stand his ground. The older warrior was launched backwards, crashing through the remnants of the ceremonial altar, tumbling across broken wood and stone before finally sliding to a stop thirty feet away.

The Bloodhound moved in perfect synchronization with its master. It lunged at the soldiers who had been attempting to flank Jorghan, its massive jaws snapping shut on a soldier’s sword. The enchanted blade, forged by master craftsmen and imbued with protective magic, shattered like glass. The soldier screamed and threw himself backwards, barely avoiding the creature’s follow-up strike.

More soldiers rushed in, brave or foolish enough to face the creature.

The Bloodhound met them with savage efficiency. It moved like liquid shadow, impossible to predict, impossible to track. Claws that could tear through steel raked across armour, sending soldiers flying. Its tail, thick and powerful, swept out like a battering ram, breaking bones and crushing weapons.

It was drinking the blood of its enemies, whoever dared to stand against its master, not even flinching for a second, with no hesitation. Its red illuminated dark fur was now bathed in the blood of the soldiers.

It was an absolute massacre.

Hawkin was back on his feet, golden energy now coating his entire armour. He got up with a smirk on his face, feeling proud of his armour. Even after taking such a devastating blow from Jorghan, the armour was still intact.

His expression had shifted from a grin to grim determination. ”Did you come for your revenge, little nephew?” he said casually.

”Oh, you don’t seem little anymore, only physical.”

Even though Jorghan couldn’t see Hawkin’s face, he knew that man was smirking at him. He clenched his fist. ”I am going to tear you apart, piece by piece, right in front of your family.”

Hawkin laughed out loud. ”You jest, little nephew.”

Caden, who was watching this battle from a little far away, was in shock, and so was his entire family.

Hawkin’s family weren’t aware of Jorghan’s identity. And his father calling him a nephew? And he was threatening to kill him right before them?

What the hell is going on?

Meanwhile, Scarlett and her family gathered around, watching the battle between the two of them. They had now concluded that this was all because of Hawkin.

Back to their battle,

The roar that tore from Jorghan’s throat was matched by the Bloodhound’s howl. The combined sound was terrifying, a declaration of war against reality itself.

Hawkin charged again; this time, a sword appeared from his armoured suit, right into his right hand. The golden energy flared up around his armour once again.

Jorghan could sense the power surge from Hawkin.

So, Jorghan too, roared with power, channelling his crimson energy.

His movements were no longer human. The Bloodborne Rage had pushed him beyond mortal limitations, into a state where instinct and power merged into something terrifying.

Hawkin’s movements were now enhanced, and he raised his huge broadsword and then brought it down towards Jorghan’s head. It resonated with a sharp, crying sound.

But Jorghan deflected the strike with a simple movement.

Hawkin was swift.

Hawkin’s follow-up attack—a devastating kick aimed at Jorghan’s ribs—connected. The impact would have killed a normal person. It sent Jorghan sliding backwards, feet carving trenches in the stone.

But he barely seemed to notice.

[DAMAGE RECEIVED: MINOR]

[REGENERATION: ACTIVE]

[BLOODBORNE RAGE: MAINTAINING]

The bruise on Jorghan’s side, where Hawkin’s kick had actually cracked ribs, began to heal almost immediately. Red and black energy swirled around the injury, knitting bone and tissue back together in seconds.

”Impossible,” Hawkin breathed. During the last seven years, just like Jorghan, Hawkin had also undergone a lot of changes. But compared to Jorghan, his abilities were limited to the suit.

He cut himself off as Jorghan attacked again.

This time, there was no holding back, no restraint. Jorghan moved with the speed and ferocity of a natural disaster. His fists became blurs, each strike carrying enough force to shatter steel. Hawkin blocked, parried, and dodged, his own considerable skill and experience the only things keeping him alive.

They exchanged hundreds of blows in seconds, moving so fast that most observers couldn’t follow the fight. Golden and crimson energy exploded with each collision, sending shockwaves across the entire plaza. The ground beneath them cracked and cratered. The air itself screamed.

Meanwhile, the Bloodhound was carving through the remaining guards like a scythe through wheat. Its mosaic of red and black energy seemed to absorb any magic directed at it, making it effectively immune to ranged attacks.

Soldiers who got close enough to strike with physical weapons found their blades passing through shadow, unable to find solid flesh. Its abilities far exceed those of a high-level warriors.
