Prodigal System in the Flourishing City

Chapter 205: Chapter 205: Starting College Life [Additional Update for Kōng Kong’s Generous Rewards]

Swinging leisurely, a summer vacation has passed.

Lu Xiaobu is heading back to school again.

However, since this time it’s the easygoing university life, and moreover at Emperor Electric where beauties abound,

Lu Xiaobu isn’t too resistant to the idea of attending school.

It’s worth mentioning that, as expected, LOL has started to become extremely popular in the Heavenly Dynasty.

Especially after some of the stories behind LOL from America were shared, LOL even took on a patriotic fervor, allowing our countrymen to let off a big sigh of relief.

Suddenly, it became a national trend to play LOL; nobody could stand aside!

Various news outlets are reporting on this phenomenon-level game.

”Games that Bring Glory to the Country”

”Lu Xiaobu’s Yet Another Era-Defining Creation”

”Have You LOL-ed Today?”

”Some Parents Are Resisting LOL, Saying It Affects Studies”

...

Lu Xiaobu doesn’t care about this. He took a plane and arrived at Emperor Electric.

Principal Li originally said he would come out to meet him.

But he refused.

After all, today is the newcomers’ day; if things were too grand, it wouldn’t be fun!

Liang Lan is dealing with LOL matters, the new company is established, and she’s got a lot on her plate—today she has to go to a small press conference, so she didn’t follow him here.

Wu Qianmin and Zhou Jingyuan also went to their respective schools to register.

So currently, only Li Jin and Zhang Meng are accompanying Lu Xiaobu.

What’s the first thing for a new student to do when they enter the school?

Of course, finding the dormitory!

Building B—Room 302.

Zhang Meng and Li Jin, carrying luggage, escorted Lu Xiaobu to the dormitory entrance.

”You guys go ahead. Otherwise, if you enter, I’d have to explain things for half a day.”

Lu Xiaobu waved his hands and arranged it.

These two bulky guys really attract too much attention!

”Yes, Young Master!”

The two went downstairs.

Lu Xiaobu carried his not-too-heavy luggage and entered the dormitory.

Hmm, a standard four-person room.

Each person has a bed, with a computer desk underneath, and a bunk bed on top!

Lu Xiaobu’s bed is by the window.

He threw his luggage onto the bed and began to size up what would be his roommates, whom he would see more often than the other students in the next few years!

”My name is Gao Yun, from Inner Mongolia, nice to meet you.”

A very hearty guy greeted Lu Xiaobu.

”Good, my name is Lu Xiaobu.”

Lu Xiaobu nodded.

”I know, I saw your name on your bed. Man, your name is so cool—Lu Bu!”

Gao Yun, inheriting the forthrightness of the prairie people, laughed and spoke.

”Really?”

Lu Xiaobu smiled.

”Alright, guys, let’s not be shy, let’s introduce ourselves!”

Gao Yun took the initiative to take on the role of the elder brother and opened up the somewhat unfamiliar situation.

”My name is Shan Yifei, from the acting department. I hope we get along well in the upcoming four years.”

A handsome, masculine guy with a buzz cut, wearing glasses and with a faint aura of arrogance, pushed up his glasses and extended his hand to Lu Xiaobu.

”Hi, I won’t introduce myself too much!”

Lu Xiaobu shook his hand and said.

”My name is Ni Lin, majoring in directing, just an ordinary student.”

The last roommate spread his hands and gave a very common introduction with slight respect.

”Then, let’s decide on an order.”

Gao Yun spoke again: ”Calling each other by names is too common.”

”I’m fine with that, I have no objections!”

Shan Yifei, also a rather open person, nodded smilingly.

Ni Lin and Lu Xiaobu shrugged their shoulders, showing no objections.

”So, how shall we arrange it?”

Gao Yun asked somewhat pretentiously.

You can tell he definitely wants to be the boss.

”No matter how we arrange it, you can be the boss.”

Shan Yifei smiled and did a favor to go with the flow.

Being the dormitory boss comes with no benefits, and generally, responsibilities outweigh rights!

Since Gao Yun is keen to show off, Yifei is happy to back him up!

”Alright.”

Lu Xiaobu also had no objections: ”However, I’m not used to calling someone boss, so I’ll just call you by your name.”

”That’s not okay.”

Gao Yun was quite pleased at first, but he didn’t like the second half of what Xiaobu said: ”If you’re making me the boss, you have to call me boss. Otherwise, let’s pick again, and you guys set the rules!”

”Ah!”

Shan Yifei sighed, rolled his eyes in frustration, with a bit of blame towards Xiaobu.

In his view, it was just a title; why make a fuss?

”Actually, I suggest we choose again too, because we’ve got a big shot here. It doesn’t seem right to have him call someone else boss.”

Ni Lin smiled, gave a slight bow to Lu Xiaobu, and showed his respect again.

Lu Xiaobu nodded slightly; it seemed Ni Lin recognized him.

Which was normal, since Ni Lin was in the directing department and would definitely pay attention to the previous Golden Fire Award, so it was impossible for him not to recognize Xiaobu.

”What do you mean?”

Shan Yifei was stunned: ”Big shot? Who is the big shot?”

”Yeah, who? It’s not me.”

Gao Yun gestured dismissively.

This Gao Yun certainly thought highly of himself!

”I’m talking about Young Master Bu.”

Ni Lin smiled and sent an inquiring look to Lu Xiaobu.

”It’s alright. Sooner or later, it’ll come out.”

Lu Xiaobu spoke indifferently.

He was destined to be different; rather than waiting to be discovered later, it was better to speak up through Ni Lin’s words, and perhaps the gap between them could be narrowed.

”Young Master Bu?”

Shan Yifei frowned, finding this title somewhat familiar.

Meanwhile, Gao Yun was completely baffled: ”What? Young Master? People still use ’Young Master’ these days?”

”Speechless!”

Lu Xiaobu rolled his eyes in exasperation.

The way it was phrased made him feel like it made him look low.

”Yes, exactly, Young Master Bu.”

Ni Lin nodded seriously and said: ”This year’s high school examination topper—Young Master Bu Lu Xiaobu!”

”Sss!”

Shan Yifei’s pupils dilated instantly, looking back and forth from Ni Lin to Lu Xiaobu, before finally saying incredulously: ”Are you saying that Xiaobu is that Young Master Bu?”

He had realized it too!

”Exactly.”

Ni Lin nodded, confirming the answer!

”Oh my, what an honor!”

Shan Yifei quickly approached Lu Xiaobu, bowed, and said, ”I didn’t recognize you just now, pardon the offense, please forgive me, Young Master Bu.”

Earlier, he had a slight grievance against Xiaobu; now, that grievance had evaporated!

Indeed, how could Young Master Bu call someone else boss?

Forget about him calling; how many people are qualified to be Young Master Bu’s boss?!

For Young Master Bu to say what he did was already giving everyone face!

”No worries, we’re all roommates now, no need to be so formal.”

Lu Xiaobu smiled, neither sad nor happy.

Honestly, he was neither pleased nor upset with these developments.

”No, Lu Xiaobu, who the heck are you? Why do you have such clout? Even if you are the top scorer, it can’t be like this!”

Gao Yun was still confused.

Coming from the grasslands, he was not too familiar with these matters.

”Gao Yun, Young Master Bu is not just any topper; he’s the national topper! The first in the entire country!”

Ni Lin said earnestly to Gao Yun.

”Sss!”

Gao Yun gasped: ”National topper?! That’s terrifying!”

”Terrifying?! That’s just the least noteworthy thing about Young Master Bu.”

Ni Lin continued, leaving Gao Yun with his jaw dropped in amazement!
