Fate-Defying Demon Emperor

”Sect Master Lu... has been defeated?”

Sword Master Tao Ming’s eyes looked as if they would pop out of their sockets, his face a mask of utter shock.

It wasn’t just him; Madam Qingxia and Sect Master Zhao standing beside him were equally stunned.

Lu Yuan was a renowned powerhouse in Mingzhou. Compared to him, the three of them were insignificant. They had come on the orders of the Second Prince, thinking they were simply there to fill the ranks, but now it seemed the situation was anything but simple.

”Sect Master!”

The five elders and three thousand disciples of the Haoran Sect felt their hearts tremble, their faces filled with worry as they stared toward the massive crater. In their minds, their Sect Master was the strongest existence.

And now, their Sect Master had been defeated? Their spiritual pillar began to crack, and some of them found the reality difficult to accept.

”Heavens, has Sect Master Lu really been defeated?”

Outside the Haoran Sect, the thousand-plus followers collectively gasped. When his arm had been severed earlier, they could have claimed it was a sneak attack by Su Han. But now, Lu Yuan had been defeated in a direct confrontation, which was undeniable proof of Su Han’s strength.

This outcome was so far beyond their pre-battle expectations that they struggled to accept it. Their Heart Spirits were shaken, leaving them at a loss for words.

In stark contrast to the shock and fear of the crowd, Li Mingliang and Li Qingyue wore expressions of pure delight and excitement.

”His Highness is too strong!”

Stars twinkled in Li Qingyue’s beautiful eyes; it was a look of pure adoration.

Su Han’s power delivered an immense shock every time. A man like that fascinated her and earned her deepest admiration.

However, despite his own delight, the worry in Li Mingliang’s heart had not subsided. Even with Lu Yuan defeated, the Haoran Sect still had five Supreme Realm elders and three thousand disciples, not to mention Sword Master Tao Ming and the others watching like hungry tigers. Today’s battle was going to be anything but easy.

COUGH, COUGH!

A series of harsh coughs echoed from the crater, drawing everyone’s attention.

As the dust settled, Lu Yuan’s figure was revealed once more, but he was in a pitiful state.

His brocade robe was in tatters, and his long hair hung in a wild mess. His left arm was gone, with crimson blood flowing from the wound. A massive gash stretched across his torso from his left shoulder to his right abdomen, a wound that had nearly pierced him through.

Furthermore, the gash was being eroded by Slaughter Sword Intent, making recovery incredibly difficult. He used the Passing Clouds Holy Sword to support himself as he struggled to climb out of the crater. He coughed up blood continuously, his face deathly pale and his body utterly exhausted.

Lu Yuan was not just injured; he was severely wounded. He had less than a third of his strength remaining and was in a wretched state, yet he still forced himself to stand.

I cannot be defeated! If I fall, the Haoran Sect is in peril!

Lu Yuan lifted his head to stare intently at Su Han in mid-air. He held on with sheer willpower, unwilling to admit defeat.

The next moment, his eyes blazed, and a powerful suction force erupted from within him. Instantly, the Spiritual Energy of the heavens and earth surged toward him like a thousand rivers flowing into the sea, pouring into his body.

”This is bad! The Sect Master is using a Forbidden Technique!”

Seeing this, the expressions of the Haoran Sect members changed drastically, their faces filled with dread.

Lu Yuan refused to concede. He was activating a Forbidden Technique to continue the fight, determined to battle until he defeated Su Han.

”Low Grade Forbidden Technique: Triple Amplification!”

With a low roar, immense Spiritual Energy flooded Lu Yuan’s body, causing his already battered form to swell rapidly—a sign that his physical body could not withstand such an influx of power.

If Lu Yuan were at his peak, this Forbidden Technique would triple his Spiritual Energy. But now, severely injured, he was like a punctured balloon; no matter how much air was pumped in, it would inevitably leak.

However, this time Lu Yuan didn’t intend to let the technique amplify his own Spiritual Energy threefold. Instead, he planned to channel this vast power into a single, ultimate strike.

Let this one sword strike determine the victor!

Gritting his teeth against the agonizing pain of his expanding Physical Body, Lu Yuan tightly gripped the Passing Clouds Holy Sword. He funneled all the boundless Spiritual Energy into the blade, even retracting his Cloud Mist Sword Domain and absorbing its Spatial Force into the Holy Sword.

WHOOSH!

The Passing Clouds Holy Sword lit up, as brilliant as the sun. Sharp Sword Radiance burst forth, making everyone feel as if a fearsome blade was rushing toward them, powerful enough to tear the sky and earth asunder.

”Intermediate Grade Divine Power: Wind Scatters the Clouds!”

With a great shout, Lu Yuan poured every last bit of his energy into the Passing Clouds Holy Sword. Executing the Divine Power Technique, he slashed out with his sword.

SWOOSH!

The Sword Radiance moved like the wind, sweeping away everything in its path like scattered clouds and leaving nothing behind.

Space warped and trembled like a violently shaken curtain. The waterfall ceased to flow as its cascading spray was instantly vaporized and dispersed.

As the sword came down, everyone’s faces filled with horror. They were stunned by its power, certain they could not withstand such a strike and would be slain by it.

At that moment, Su Han, still in mid-air, narrowed his eyes, sensing the terrifying might of this attack.

A Forbidden Technique? A pity your injuries are too severe. Its power is limited.

Su Han raised the Soul Severing Sword, his gaze profound and his eyes swirling with killing intent.

In that case, I’ll test the Deadly Sword Technique from the Sun, Moon, and Stellar Art on you!

The Starry Sky Sword Domain expanded as Demonic Qi surged and his mastered Slaughter Sword Intent erupted. The Soul Severing Sword began to hum with a deathly cold energy.

The Sun, Moon, and Stellar Art, which the Nineteenth Prince cultivated, contained not only the Sun, Moon, and Stars Triple Forms but also a Deadly Sword Technique. However, the previous Nineteenth Prince had been too weak to cultivate and use it.

But Su Han had been cultivating the Sun, Moon, and Stellar Art for the last two months. He had not only deepened his comprehension of swordsmanship but had also grasped the Deadly Sword Technique. Today, he would use Lu Yuan to test it.

He raised the Soul Severing Sword, and the Starry Sky Sword Domain condensed abruptly. Above Su Han’s head, a massive stellar phantom materialized. But this time, it was not alone; the Sword Light Bright Moon and the black Sword Sun formed alongside it.

The Sun, Moon, and Stars Triple Forms were all displayed at once—a feat that required immense strength and a profound understanding of the Sun, Moon, and Stellar Art.

”Deadly Sword Technique: Severing River of Stars!”

Su Han’s gaze sharpened as the Demonic Qi within him burst forth without reserve. Gripping the sword with both hands, he brought it down in a vicious, overhead slash.

WHOOSH!

An indescribable Sword Radiance appeared before the crowd. It was like a bolt of lightning splitting the night sky in two, like the first ray of dawn piercing the darkness to bring forth the light.

The massive stellar phantom, the Sword Light Bright Moon, and the black Sword Sun all fused into one, creating this single, indescribably brilliant Sword Radiance.

With one slash, it seemed capable of severing the river of stars in the universe itself.

TZZT!

The two streams of Sword Radiance clashed in mid-air. Lu Yuan’s attack, like a great wind, could not blow away the Severing River of Stars. On the contrary, the ”wind” of his attack was sliced apart, and its ”clouds” were torn to shreds. The brilliant Sword Radiance then continued on, undiminished, hurtling toward Lu Yuan before the shocked eyes of the crowd.

WHOOSH!

The magnificent Sword Radiance swept over Lu Yuan’s body, then sliced a long fissure into the ground that stretched all the way to the waterfall, splitting the entire Haoran Sect in two.

Where he stood, the light faded from Lu Yuan’s eyes. His life force drained away as his body split into two halves and crashed to the ground.

With one sword strike, Lu Yuan was dead.
