Fate-Defying Demon Emperor

Chapter 495: Chapter 495: Plan Success

The Demonic Hall was originally dimly lit, but with Swordsaint’s presence, it had become bright and clear. The Great Sun Sword Body was an extremely rare Special Physique, ranked in the top one hundred. Moreover, Swordsaint had cultivated it to the Great Accomplishment stage. If not for his encounter with Saint You Heng’s Hell Nether Serpent, his strength would have allowed him to easily fight opponents above his level.

Su Han looked up to see dazzling sunlight illuminating the entire Demonic Hall, blanketing everything in a Golden Glow. It felt less like a demonic hall and more like a golden temple. In the center sat a figure radiating light, the source of the resplendent sunlight. This light, however, was not warm. It was piercingly sharp and unbearable. Even with his Great Accomplished Holy Body, Su Han felt a stinging pain on his skin, as if it were being sliced by tiny knives.

The Great Sun Sword Body certainly lives up to its reputation! And this is him in a severely injured state. How formidable must he be at his peak?

The fact that Saint You Heng could severely injure and defeat such a powerful being meant he was far beyond Su Han’s expectations. It seems Saint You Heng is no ordinary Saint. Otherwise, how could he possibly have suppressed someone as powerful as Swordsaint?

These thoughts flashed through his mind in an instant. Not forgetting the purpose of his visit, he composed himself and bowed his head slightly.

”My lord, the Cult Master has followed your instructions and collected numerous Healing Treasures. We hope they will aid in your recovery.”

Su Han adopted a humble posture to lower Swordsaint’s guard, presenting a Storage Ring filled with a large quantity of Healing Treasures from his own personal stock.

Swordsaint took the Storage Ring and swept his Divine Sense across it, his eyes immediately lighting up. Although there were no Holy Level Healing Treasures inside, it contained many items that would be effective for his recovery. The sheer quantity meant that even if he couldn’t heal completely, he could recover a significant amount of his strength.

”Mm. You have done well. Once I have recovered, I will surely reward you handsomely,” Swordsaint said, accepting the Storage Ring and making an empty promise.

”Thank you, my lord! We of the Heavenly Demon Cult will follow your every command!” Su Han exclaimed, expressing great excitement and anticipation.

”Hmm? Is there something else?” Swordsaint asked, noticing that Su Han had not left.

”My lord, I was once a subject of the Tianqing Dynasty. Su Han slaughtered my entire family; my grudge against him is irreconcilable. I heard that the Demon Slayer Sect is planning to move against Su Han, and I was wondering if I could join you. Even if I cannot take revenge with my own hands, I would have my greatest wish fulfilled if I could just witness his death.”

While speaking to distract Swordsaint, Su Han was activating the Forbidden Curse Poison.

”You’re Qin Wushuang, correct? I’ve heard of your feud with Su Han. That whelp killed the Seven Great Slaughter Stars of my Heavenly Demon Cult, so I will certainly not spare him. Since you desire revenge, you may accompany me when the time comes.”

Swordsaint was already aware of the history between Qin Wushuang and Su Han, so his words were not surprising. In fact, they served to lower Swordsaint’s guard even further. If Qin Wushuang had said nothing, that would have been truly abnormal.

”Thank you, my lord! Your subordinate is willing to go through fire and water for you, without hesitation!” Su Han said excitedly, his performance flawless.

Having achieved his goal, Su Han lingered no longer. He turned and exited the Demonic Hall, but not before having fully activated the Forbidden Curse Poison.

Now, I just have to wait for Swordsaint to erupt! Stepping out of the Demonic Hall, Su Han felt a surge of joy in his heart. The plan was halfway to success.

After returning to Unparalleled Hall, Su Han did not go out again. He simply extended his Divine Sense, constantly monitoring the situation outside.

Meanwhile, in the Demonic Hall, Swordsaint dismissed Su Han from his thoughts and once again immersed himself in his recovery. To him, the promise to Su Han was a triviality, and his vow to the Earth Fiend Demon Sovereign was just another empty promise. His most pressing need was to use the Heavenly Demon Cult’s resources to heal. Once he had recovered enough, he would seek revenge on Saint You Heng. With the Myriad Treasures Pavilion and the Demon Slayer Sect now at open war, he no longer had to be cautious. If need be, he would simply find another ally. He refused to believe that he couldn’t kill Saint You Heng.

You Heng, you severed my arm. I will make you pay with your life! The murderous intent in Swordsaint’s eyes was ice-cold; his hatred for Saint You Heng was bone-deep. Of course, Su Han was also on his list, but his strength was so pathetic that Swordsaint had never taken him seriously. Once Saint You Heng was dealt with, crushing a mere Su Han would be as simple as crushing an ant.

With his mind made up, Swordsaint put it aside. He took out the Storage Ring Su Han had given him, retrieved the Healing Treasures, and began his meditation.

However, he soon sensed something was wrong. A sudden chill washed over him, making him shiver as if he had been plunged into an ice cellar. Not only that, but his limbs felt weak, his head spun, and his Divine Sense became disoriented. It was as if he had been struck by a severe illness.

The Cursing Killing Nether Technique had taken effect, silently invading his body, weakening his power and disrupting his Divine Sense. At the same time, the Divine Prohibition Heavenly Method was quietly condensing, causing his body to stiffen. He was stunned, as if he were turning into a statue, unable to move an inch. The Forbidden Curse Poison was a fusion of these two techniques, named a ”poison” for its silent yet rapid invasion.

At this very moment, Swordsaint had fallen victim to it. Not only was he weakened and immobilized, but his wounds had also worsened, becoming far more severe than before.

Qin Wushuang!

Swordsaint immediately knew who had poisoned him, as Qin Wushuang was his only visitor today.

”Hm?”

Suddenly, Swordsaint’s expression shifted as he detected several familiar auras. Outside the Demonic Hall, the Earth Fiend Demon Sovereign and Leng Rufeng were arriving together. Swordsaint had ordered the Earth Fiend Demon Sovereign to gather Healing Treasures, an order he wouldn’t dare defy. He was genuinely there to deliver them. What he didn’t know was that someone had beaten him to it and had already poisoned Swordsaint, rendering him immobile.

The sheer audacity of the Heavenly Demon Cult, to dare ambush me!

Swordsaint instantly concocted a scenario in his mind. He hadn’t seen through Su Han’s Thousand Changes and Transformations, so he assumed Qin Wushuang had deliberately poisoned him first, and now the Earth Fiend Demon Sovereign and Leng Rufeng were arriving to strike while the poison was active.

Afflicted by the Forbidden Curse Poison, his life wasn’t in immediate danger, but his injuries had worsened. His body was weak, and he could not move. If the Earth Fiend Demon Sovereign and Leng Rufeng attacked now, he could very well be defeated in a humiliating fashion.

You want to kill me? Then I’ll kill you first!

Swordsaint had never trusted the Heavenly Demon Cult, and now, his wariness intensified. Unwilling to sit and wait for death, he erupted with Spiritual Energy to suppress the Forbidden Curse Poison. He reached out, his hand gripping the Cold Iron Holy Sword.

CRACK!

A beam of Great Sun Sword Radiance erupted skyward, cleaving the Demonic Hall in two.

Seeing this, Su Han laughed from within Unparalleled Hall.
