Fate-Defying Demon Emperor

Soul Hook employed a Forbidden Technique, exchanging his vitality for Death Qi to gain immense power. However, as a living being, the consequence was an increased concentration of Death Qi, which only accelerated his own death. At this moment, in order to kill Su Han and reclaim the Dragon Slaying Demon Banner, he could no longer afford to worry about such things.

Killing for treasure is the only true justice!

BOOM!

The dense Death Qi around Soul Hook formed a small storm. The wraith-like image from his Physique Fusion became even more vivid, as if he were an Emissary of Impermanence who had truly emerged from the Underworld to reap souls. Soul Hook’s already tall and thin figure became even more gaunt, like a piece of clothing hanging from a bamboo pole—an extremely eerie sight.

”Soul Hooking Lock!”

Soul Hook’s gaze was sinister. As he spoke, chilling Death Qi spewed from his mouth and nose like the cold winds of Nine Serenities Hell.

SWOOSH!

The Soul Hook Lock in his hand whistled through the air, faster than lightning, carrying the might to reap life itself as it shot directly toward Su Han. This attack was filled with endless Death Qi, like a Ghost Claw extending from the depths of Hell, aiming to drag the living into Avīci Hell.

Su Han’s eyes turned grave. He felt an unprecedented sense of crisis as his brow throbbed, as if his Sea of Consciousness was about to be pierced and his Divine Sense torn away. This was a strike that harmed both the Physical Body and the Spirit. Wielded with Soul Hook’s strength at the Third Layer of the Heavenly King Realm, it was exceptionally powerful and terrifying.

”Strongest defense!”

Su Han swiftly deployed various Origin Techniques, forming layer upon layer of defensive energy on his body. At the same time, he gripped the Black Blade, activated the Demonic Patterns on both its sides, and directly executed Thunderbolt Seven Absolute Slashes.

BOOM!

The collision was as intense as two massive mountains crashing into one another, unleashing a series of deafening, earth-shattering roars. The terrifying shockwave of battle swept through the entire valley like a storm. From this single strike, the layers of Origin Techniques around Su Han’s body were shattered one by one, and even the Black Blade was sent flying, demonstrating the immense power of Soul Hook’s killing blow.

But Su Han’s strength was also formidable. Relying on his various methods, he successfully blocked the attack without sustaining any injuries.

”Divine Aid Counterattack!”

Just then, Su Han used his newly acquired Divine Method to reflect the damage he had just received. A terrifying destructive energy instantly slammed into Soul Hook, forcing him to retreat repeatedly as blood trickled from the corner of his mouth. It was a pity that Su Han had only just mastered this Divine Method and could only reflect a tenth of the damage. If he could have fully reflected it, Soul Hook would have been killed outright or at least severely injured by his own attack.

”Black Netherworld Flower!”

Seizing the opportunity, Su Han moved swiftly. With a wave of his hand, a Black Netherworld Flower drifted out and entered the space between Soul Hook’s brows. Instantly, Soul Hook shuddered as if struck by a heavy blow, and his wraith-like Physique was forcibly expelled from his body.

”What kind of technique is this? It forced out my Physique!”

Anyone who saw this would be utterly shocked, for it was an unbelievably bizarre technique, the likes of which were not even recorded in ancient texts. Having lost his Physique Fusion, Soul Hook’s aura weakened, and his strength dropped by a tenth.

At this time, Su Han closed the distance. He raised the Black Blade and unleashed a hundred-meter-long blade light that slashed toward Soul Hook.

”Teleportation!”

Heavenly King Realm experts could remain undefeated by relying on the Art of Teleportation. Soul Hook used it once again to avoid the blade. He was now seriously injured and had been forced out of his Physique Fusion. Furthermore, although using the Forbidden Technique granted him great power, it also caused him immense harm.

He knew he couldn’t continue to fight head-on, or he would likely be the first to fall.

The Demon Slayer Sect had numerous assassins adept in combat and killing, each with their own methods. Soul Hook no longer clashed directly with Su Han. Instead, he used the Art of Teleportation to continuously dodge Su Han’s attacks while looking for opportunities to strike back with his Soul Hook Lock or other Martial Techniques. This unique fighting style caused Su Han considerable trouble.

Not having broken through to the Heavenly King Realm, Su Han couldn’t use Teleportation, and this became his greatest weakness. Even though he possessed the Nine Heavens Eye and could detect the traces of spatial fluctuations, it was ultimately no match for true Teleportation. Soul Hook kept teleporting, constantly adjusting his angle. Su Han’s attacks rarely found their mark, while Soul Hook launched occasional surprise attacks from treacherous angles, making it nearly impossible to defend.

If he had the Nine Palace Golden Pagoda, Su Han could have used its suppressive force to block Soul Hook’s Teleportation. If he had a Shore Flower Clone, he could have fought two-on-one to limit Soul Hook’s movements. But right now, neither was available.

”Intermediate Grade Divine Power: Death Rhapsody!”

While teleporting to avoid attacks, Soul Hook once again deployed a Divine Power Technique. Suddenly, a morbidly thrilling battle song of death resounded, designed to affect a person’s will and drive them to die in a state of madness.

”Heavenly Dragon Eight Sounds!”

Su Han countered with Heavenly Dragon Eight Sounds. Soul Hook didn’t believe this Divine Power alone could defeat Su Han; he merely used it as a distraction to create an opening.

”Soul Hooking Lock!”

Soul Hook again launched his killing technique. Brimming with Death Qi and overwhelming killing intent, it carried an aura that could snatch souls as it rushed straight at Su Han.

”Golden Emperor Tanyang Fist!”

Su Han, his left hand clenched into a fist and covered by the Dragon Silkworm Silk Gloves, threw a punch that sent the Soul Hook Lock flying. The powerful force rebounded back to Soul Hook, causing him to stagger and almost fall.

”An opening!”

Su Han’s spirit was on high alert. Seeing Soul Hook expose a weakness, he instantly used the Character Technique of Motion combined with Lightning Fast movements. Erupting with thirteen times his normal speed, he became a streak of light, rushing toward Soul Hook before he could teleport.

”Golden Emperor Tanyang Fist!”

”Thunderbolt Seven Absolute Slashes!”

With his left fist clenched and the Black Blade in his right hand, Su Han attacked with devastating force, aiming to obliterate Soul Hook.

However, Soul Hook showed not the slightest hint of panic. Instead, he just grinned at Su Han.

”You fell for it!”

He uttered those simple words, and immediately, an eruption of Death Qi enveloped Su Han. At the same time, the Soul Hook Lock suddenly appeared from behind, wrapping around Su Han’s body like swift tentacles.

This opening was a deliberate trap, meant to lure Su Han in close for a final, lethal blow.

”Now, you can die!”

The corners of Soul Hook’s mouth curled into a smug smile. A powerful burst of Death Qi exploded from his body, trapping Su Han completely. The Soul Hook Lock tightened with deadly sharpness. He was certain that Su Han was doomed.

”Oh? Is that so?”

At that moment, Su Han’s face showed not a trace of fear, but rather a hint of playful mockery.

Soul Hook had used himself as bait to attract Su Han, but wasn’t Su Han doing the exact same thing?

Who was the hunter and who was the prey remained to be seen.

”Dual Black Holes, devour!”

Behind Su Han, Dual Black Holes materialized and devoured the dense Death Qi in an instant. He then ignored the Soul Hook Lock on his back and struck out fearlessly at Soul Hook with the Golden Emperor Tanyang Fist and Thunderbolt Seven Absolute Slashes.

BANG!

With a single punch, Soul Hook’s head exploded. He was dead.
