Fate-Defying Demon Emperor

”Su Su, you’re alright!”

Zhang Xiaowan’s eyeballs nearly popped out. She felt as if she had cried for nothing.

In the sea of fire, Su Han’s black hair billowed while his black clothes clung to him like demonic armor. Dark, demonic light radiated from his body, making him look like a Demon God descending upon the world. The Ghostly Face Mask, with its expression that was neither crying nor laughing, added an aura of mystery and terror to his presence.

The fierce and violent Fury Spirit Flame now hesitated, swirling around Su Han as if it dared not approach.

Meanwhile, Qing Wu felt she was going mad. My full-powered Earth Rank High Level Martial Technique, launched with the strength of the Ninth Layer of the Divine Power Realm, should have incinerated him! How could it have failed? This is absurd!

Moreover, the aura now emanating from Su Han made her scalp tingle and her heart sink into an abyss, as if the Grim Reaper itself had turned its gaze upon her.

Su Han looked up and met her gaze. That single glance petrified Qing Wu, freezing her limbs and turning her mind blank.

”Extinguish!”

An icy voice escaped Su Han’s lips. It was as if his very words were law, which even heaven and earth had to obey.

The raging, surging Fury Spirit Flame was instantly snuffed out, vanishing in the blink of an eye as if it dared not disobey his command.

At this moment, though Su Han’s appearance hadn’t changed, he felt like a completely different person. No, not a different person—a different being entirely. A true demon!

As a demon, I shall be unyielding and indomitable, never submitting!

As a demon, I shall fight against the heavens, never admitting defeat!

As a demon, I shall dominate fate, my decree echoing through the ages!

In Su Han’s heart, Demonic Intent was born—eternal and indestructible.

Previously, despite cultivating the Devouring Heaven Demonic Art and forming the Demonic Emperor Physique, Su Han had always considered himself human at heart. At most, he was a Demon Cultivator who practiced a Demonic Technique.

There were many Demon Cultivators in the Desolate Heavenly Ancient Realm. The Earth Fiend Demon Sovereign of the Heavenly Demon Cult was one, as was Zhang Xiaowan. However, there is a difference between a demon and a Demon Cultivator.

A demon is not human. It is a unique being that contends with gods, battles the heavens, and struggles against fate.

Before, Su Han was merely a Demon Cultivator. But now, in the crucible between life and death, through the process of complete devouring and refinement, he had given birth to a wisp of true Demonic Intent.

This was not a Dao Heart, nor was it mere willpower. It was the mark of a demon.

One who possesses Demonic Intent can become a demon. Without it, one is at best a Demon Cultivator, fundamentally still human.

Demonic Intent had now been born in Su Han’s heart. Although it was still just a tiny sprout, its potential was limitless. No one could possibly imagine what he would achieve in the future.

I want these heavens to no longer obscure my eyes! I want this earth to no longer bury my heart! I want all living beings to understand my will! And I want all my enemies to scatter like smoke and ash!

Su Han’s nature was unyielding and rebellious. Thus, he named this Demonic Intent his Defying Heavenly Demon Will.

If the heavens try to crush me, I will defy the heavens! If the gods try to kill me, I will slaughter the gods!

The emergence of the Defying Heavenly Demon Will did not cause his strength to surge explosively, but it made his operation of the Devouring Heaven Demonic Art far more efficient.

Di Yuan’s corpse had been completely devoured and refined by Su Han. He had consecutively broken through three layers, advancing from the First Layer to the Fourth Layer of the Divine Power Realm. With the amplification from the Ghostly Face Mask, his strength increased by another three layers, reaching the Seventh Layer of the Divine Power Realm.

Now, with the power of the Seventh Layer of the Divine Power Realm, Su Han faced the Ninth-Layer Qing Wu with no disadvantage whatsoever.

”Great Majestic Demon King, lend me your strength!”

Su Han summoned the Great Majestic Demon King once more. Immediately, scorching Black Blade demonic energy surged into his body. Su Han’s appearance transformed drastically. He swelled to three meters tall, his muscles bulging and his skin turning a blackish-red. With every breath, he spewed demonic flames.

This Demonization was significantly different from before. The tiny horn on his head had grown to the size of a finger. It was jet-black and etched with mysterious Demonic Patterns. Furthermore, his fingernails and toenails grew long and sharp, thick and heavy. His hands and feet were no longer human but had transformed into demonic claws. A pair of palm-sized Demonic Wings had even sprouted from his back. Though currently useless, they would one day provide him with immense power.

At this moment, Su Han’s appearance was shedding its last vestiges of humanity, transforming into that of a true demon.

”You’re not human... You’re a demon!” Qing Wu’s pupils constricted. Overcome with horror, she screamed as she scrambled backward.

Although she had never seen a real demon, Su Han’s current appearance, aura, and power were just like the demons from the legends. Under the pressure of Su Han’s Defying Heavenly Demon Will, cracks had already begun to form in Qing Wu’s Dao Heart.

”Thunderbolt Seven Absolute Slashes!”

With the Black Blade in hand, Su Han channeled his Demonic Qi and executed the Thunderbolt Seven Absolute Slashes. He instantly drew all the Purple Lightning Yin Thunder from the basin toward him. The Demonic Patterns on the Black Blade lit up as the Bloodthirsty Demonic Flame surged violently. The two forces combined, forming a terrifying five-hundred-meter-long blade of light.

Su Han unleashed this slash with the power of the Seventh Layer of the Divine Power Realm. Empowered by the Battle Character Secret, the strike was strong enough to contend with Qing Wu head-on.

”Intermediate Grade Divine Power: Phoenix Dance.”

With her Dao Heart already riddled with cracks, Qing Wu was intimidated before the fight even truly began. She cast her Divine Power Technique, but its power was greatly diminished. The cyan ripples spread out, but they were incapable of withstanding the terrifying blade of light.

THUD!

The blade of light struck her, and Qing Wu was sent flying, her white dress tearing as she crashed to the ground. Covered in dirt, she looked like a celestial fairy cast down into the mortal realm, utterly disheveled.

As a demon, I shall defy the heavens and slay every enemy in this world!

A black light flared around Su Han’s body as his Demonic Qi intensified, and his Defying Heavenly Demon Will grew even more resolute. He activated the Character Technique of Motion and Lightning Fast, transforming into a streak of black lightning that shot toward Qing Wu.

”I’ll fight you to the death!”

Knowing she was in mortal danger, Qing Wu gritted her teeth. She decided to fight to the death, to carve out a path to survival. She was truly terrified. Su Han’s strength and strangeness made him seem unkillable. An enemy like that inspired nothing but despair.

”Origin Technique: Qingluan Possession!”

Qing Wu fully activated her Qingluan Spirit Body and unleashed her Origin Technique. Instantly, a cyan light as brilliant as the sun enveloped her. She seemed to transform into a true Qingluan—noble, elegant, and immensely powerful.

”Golden Emperor Tanyang Fist!”

With blood-red eyes and overwhelming Demonic Intent, Su Han threw his most powerful punch with his left hand, which was clad in the Dragon Silkworm Silk Gloves.

Three billion jin of Physical Strength, 128 Great Luo Golden Bones, the empowerment of the Battle Character Secret, and the driving force of his Defying Heavenly Demon Will—all converged in this strike.

A single punch. Darkness descended. It was the twilight of the gods, an unrivaled attack.

BOOM!

The punch shattered Qing Wu’s defenses and obliterated the cyan light surrounding her. Finally, under her horrified gaze, the fist struck her squarely in the face.

Her head exploded.

One punch. Qing Wu was dead.
