Fate-Defying Demon Emperor

”Impossible! Tian’er would never be defeated! This must be an illusion.”

Amid the crowd, Wang Tianqing’s eyes bulged as he shook his head violently, unable to accept this outcome.

In his mind, Su Tian was his proudest son, a veritable qilin destined to rule the world and dominate an era. Su Han, on the other hand, was merely the son of a palace maid—someone he had never valued and even somewhat despised.

Now, the qilin of a son in his eyes had been defeated repeatedly, while the Su Han he scorned displayed an air of invincibility. This was impossible for him to accept. What’s more, he held a deep-seated grudge against Su Han; if Su Han won, his own crisis would only grow.

”Useless trash! Possessing a Supreme Physical Body and a higher Realm, yet you still can’t kill him! This is infuriating!” the Great Qian King erupted in fury, wishing he could knock some sense into Su Tian. He had harbored great expectations for Su Tian upon hearing of the duel, but the current result was unbearable.

It wasn’t just Wang Tianqing and the Great Qian King; others also found it impossible to accept Su Tian’s defeat.

”Truly a hopeless case! I gave you so much support, and this is how you perform? It’s infuriating!” the Earth Fiend Demon Sovereign seethed, utterly disappointed in Su Tian. For this duel, he had given Su Tian everything he could, believing victory was certain. He never expected his champion to be completely overwhelmed from start to finish, and now he was severely wounded with his defeat all but certain.

Nearby, Qin Wushuang’s expression was so dark it was terrifying. His eyes filled with a gloomy haze as he stared intently at the spot where Su Tian had fallen, his heart roaring incessantly.

Tian’er, get up! You cannot lose, you must win!

Su Tian could not lose. Su Han had to die. Otherwise, all his plans would be for naught, and he would struggle to maintain his standing within the Heavenly Demon Cult.

”How dull. Just a pathetic squabble, with nothing worth watching,” Zi Qiong commented, standing aloofly in the air, her nobility beyond words. Seeing Su Tian’s defeat, a flicker of disappointment crossed her beautiful eyes. She had hoped this Su Tian would have the ability to kill Su Han and vent some of her frustration, but he had proven utterly incompetent, only to be beaten down and defeated.

As expected, a backwater place like this could never foster a true prodigy.

Hearing Zi Qiong’s words, Ye Chuanfeng was left tongue-tied, though he breathed a sigh of relief inwardly. With Su Han’s victory, no accidents will happen. I just need to figure out how to appease Miss Zi Qiong, or else my plans will be ruined, and the losses will be immense.

”Ah, this Su Tian seemed so powerful, but he turned out to be all show and no substance, defeated so quickly.”

”I know, right? I thought he had some special skills, but he was completely suppressed by Su Han from beginning to end. There’s no suspense left in the outcome.”

”I told you so. If just anyone could pop up and defeat Su Han, the Prodigy List would be worthless. It’s clear that anyone who makes it onto that list is no ordinary person.”

With Su Tian’s defeat clearly apparent, the crowd erupted into discussion as the tide of public opinion shifted. Before the battle, they had thought Su Han’s chances of winning were slim, but now they all switched sides, praising his strength.

Su Han paid no mind to the crowd’s discussions or their stares. Wielding the Black Blade, he executed the Character Technique of Motion and descended from the sky, heading straight for the collapsed city wall. He had come here today with only one purpose: to slay Su Tian.

His mother had been harmed by the Empress, and ten years of affection had been revealed as a lie, all for the sake of his Dragon Soul. This pain and hatred were etched deep into Su Han’s heart, robbing him of sleep and appetite. He had trained diligently, constantly growing stronger for the sake of revenge. The Empress was now dead and the Qin Family was annihilated, but Su Tian was still alive, and he remained the biggest thorn in his side.

Today, he would personally slay Su Tian, pull out this thorn, and achieve a clear state of mind, free from any Heart Demon.

BOOM!

Just then, shattered rock shot through the air as an overwhelming Supreme pressure burst forth. A figure soared into the sky, looking like a crazed demon—it was Su Tian.

At this moment, Su Tian was covered in blood, his face ferocious and his eyes bloodshot.

His Dao Heart had shattered, and he had completely succumbed to Demonification.

”I am the Son of Destiny! I will not be defeated! You lowly spawn, you are the one who deserves to die!” Su Tian roared again and again. Terrifying waves of pressure pulsed from his body, but his figure was rapidly withering, as if his Qi-Blood was decaying and old age was setting in.

”Withered Blood Demonic Technique!”

This was Su Tian’s last resort, a technique taught to him by the Earth Fiend Demon Sovereign. Once used, his Qi-Blood would wither and his life force would dwindle, but in exchange, he would gain immense power.

A tide of Evil Qi now flooded Su Tian’s body, dyeing his golden Qi-Blood a grayish-black. With his hair disheveled and his body drenched in blood, he looked as if possessed by an evil demon.

”Kill!”

Clutching the poisonous Demonic Blade, Su Tian once again performed the Ferocious Fiend Three Blades, charging at Su Han with a frenzied and murderous resolve. He had sacrificed his entire reserve of Qi-Blood for a power far greater than before. At this moment, he was comparable to a master at the Seventh or Eighth Layer of the Physique Realm, his every move brimming with tremendous might.

Seeing this, the hearts of the spectators trembled. Could the tide of this battle actually turn?

”Dragon Phoenix Protection!”

”Adorned with Stars and Moon!”

”Star Shifting Technique!”

”Myriad Encompassing Heavenly Attraction!”

Su Han rapidly executed his four Origin Techniques, forming his strongest defense. A magnetic field shrouded him, a draconic phoenix provided cover, starry armor formed around him, and incoming force was deflected and weakened. Combined with his own Sacred Body and Great Luo Golden Bone, his defensive power was terrifying. As Su Tian furiously attacked, Su Han’s defenses held firm.

”You can’t stop me! As long as I can kill you, I’m willing to pay any price!” Su Tian roared, his Evil Qi surging to the heavens. The light from his blade tore across the void, making it tremble and the world boom. Many of the blade beams fell wide, carving enormous fissures both inside and outside Qingmo City—a terrifying sight.

Su Han held the Black Blade, executing the Thunderbolt Seven Absolute Slashes while defending against Su Tian’s onslaught. However, Su Tian’s power was now truly immense, and Su Han was steadily forced back, unable to fully resist.

But his eyes remained exceptionally calm, without a trace of panic.

”Nine Heavens Eye!”

Su Han concentrated his Divine Sense at the center of his brow, forming the Nine Heavens Eye. During his recent cultivation, he had advanced it to the Second Layer, which not only allowed him to see through illusions but also to spot weaknesses.

Even while on the defensive, he was simultaneously searching for Su Tian’s flaw.

This Physical Body was not Su Tian’s own, after all. Even with help from the likes of the Earth Fiend Demon Sovereign, he could not achieve a perfect fusion. Now, with Su Tian enraged and demonified, his Dao Heart shattered, he was riddled with weaknesses.

Finally, Su Han seized his chance. He gripped his Black Blade tightly as a surge of Devouring Heaven Demonic Qi poured into it.

His Invincible Tao Xin activated, and an aura of absolute dominance—a will to battle the heavens and fight the earth—erupted from his body.

”Heaven and Earth Slash!”

Although this was only a Mysterious Rank Martial Technique, when amplified by the Combat Character Secret and his Invincible Tao Xin, its power was comparable to an Earth Rank Martial Technique.

”This slash will be your funeral!”

Su Han stared at Su Tian and then brought his blade down, striking right at his opponent’s weakness.

PFFT!

Su Tian was still holding the poisonous Demonic Blade, frozen in the posture of attack, but a thin line of blood had appeared on his neck. An instant later, his head was severed from his body.
