Fate-Defying Demon Emperor

A thousand miles from the Poisonous Bog, ripples spread through space as a figure stepped out into a city. It was Su Han, teleported there by the extraordinary power of a Thousand-Mile Transference Talisman.

His face was pale as he coughed violently, spitting up mouthfuls of blood, and his aura was feeble. He had delivered his strongest punch, but the Seven Injuries Devil Honorable was a warrior of the Supreme Realm, and the Seven-Injury Demon Fist was his signature technique. Though Su Han had barely blocked the attack, he was left with grievous injuries, his situation critical.

”Secret of Healer!”

Without hesitation, Su Han activated the technique he had just mastered. Instantly, a surge of powerful energy—one that seemed to have always existed within him, unnoticed until now—burst forth from his body. In the blink of an eye, his injuries vanished completely, leaving not even a scar. The only drawback was that the Secret of Healer could only heal his wounds; it could not restore his spent Demonic Qi.

Still, Su Han had only just grasped it. If he reached minor or Great Accomplishment in this skill, the healing effect would undoubtedly be much stronger. It was said that at its ultimate stage, the Secret of Healer could grant one eternal life and immortality.

Su Han took out a map and quickly identified his location. This should be Xiong’an City, southwest of the Heavenly Demon Cult.

Xiong’an City was a mid-sized, bustling metropolis with a population of a million. Its streets were a hive of activity, thrumming with the sounds of a vibrant crowd.

Su Han’s mind raced as he swiftly formed a new plan. The Seven Injuries Devil Honorable will certainly not let this rest, but with my identity as Yin Ya, the Little Demon Lord, I can re-enter the Heavenly Demon Cult! I have to completely destroy the Heavenly Demon Cult. This will force Earth Fiend Demon Sovereign and the others into an untenable position, compelling them to retreat and defend their territory. I have to press on.

However, he didn’t have much time left, so he couldn’t linger. Su Han rose to his feet, preparing to set off for the Poisonous Bog once more.

But before he could leave, an overwhelming Supreme pressure rolled in from afar, pressing down on the world itself. A deep blue rainbow, supplemented by constant Teleportation, roared through the sky at incredible speed and finally arrived.

”Seven Injuries Devil Honorable!”

Seeing the figure within the rainbow, Su Han’s pupils shrank as his heart filled with astonishment. The Thousand-Mile Transference Talisman teleports its user randomly. How could the Seven Injuries Devil Honorable have caught up so quickly, and how could he know I’m in Xiong’an City?

His heart sinking, Su Han hastily activated the Nine Heavens Eye, turning its sight inward to inspect his own body. He soon found an extremely subtle and harmless mark within himself, which was why he hadn’t noticed it before. It must have been left by the Seven-Injury Demon Fist. The Seven Injuries Devil Honorable’s precise tracking had to be due to this mark.

A miscalculation! The methods of a Supreme Realm warrior are truly impossible to defend against.

The Seven Injuries Devil Honorable swiftly arrived above Xiong’an City. He stood suspended in the air, his Supreme pressure descending like an invisible mountain, weighing down on the city’s million residents and causing them all to look up in horror.

”Isn’t that the Seven Injuries Devil Honorable of the Heavenly Demon Cult? Why is he here?”

”I have a terrible feeling a disaster is about to strike! Is something major going to happen today?”

”I don’t know why he’s here, but we should flee!”

Countless people stared up in fear, while some began to sneak away, attempting to escape. In Mozhou, the Heavenly Demon Cult was the supreme power, and the Seven Injuries Devil Honorable’s vicious reputation was well known.

Su Han suppressed his aura and activated the Heaven-Deceiving Demon Bead. It might not be very effective, but it was better than nothing. He focused all his might on erasing the mark, desperately trying to conceal his presence from the Seven Injuries Devil Honorable.

The Devil Honorable stood in the air, looking down upon the city. Though the mark he had left could only provide a general direction, Xiong’an City had a population of a million. Su Han was like a drop of water in the ocean, making it extremely difficult to find him.

But the Seven Injuries Devil Honorable had no patience for a slow search. He only wanted to slay Su Han and retrieve his treasure, so he made his move without hesitation.

WHOOSH!

Reaching out, he produced a black gourd. He tipped it over, and a dense, toxic miasma poured out, blanketing the entirety of Xiong’an City.

The toxic miasma was so fearsome that even Martial Artists dared not touch it, let alone ordinary people. Su Han watched in horror as a wisp of it descended, instantly killing a middle-aged woman and the baby in her arms. Both turned into pitch-black corpses—a sight too gruesome to bear.

”Run! I don’t want to die here!”

”Dad, Mom, where are you? Don’t you want your Xiao Bao anymore?”

”Husband, don’t worry about me! You have to escape!”

As the miasma fell, Xiong’an City became a living purgatory. Countless heartbreaking farewells unfolded, but none could escape death. Ordinary citizens could not withstand the toxic miasma in the slightest. Even the Martial Artists were helpless against it, only managing to survive a few minutes longer than everyone else.

Screams of agony and mournful howls filled the air as bodies collapsed to the ground. The entire city plunged into chaos. The carnage was chilling to the bone.

The Seven Injuries Devil Honorable had begun a city-wide massacre just to kill him. Such cruelty made Su Han’s eyes turn ice-cold, his killing intent surging like a tidal wave. While he never considered himself some world-saving saint, he still possessed a basic human conscience. He would never commit such an act of indiscriminately slaughtering innocents and wiping out a city. Yet, just to flush him out, the Seven Injuries Devil Honorable had unhesitatingly sentenced a million people to death. It was venomous, cruel, and utterly inhuman. This was not the demonic path—the demonic path was not about indiscriminate slaughter or malicious cruelty. In that moment, an overwhelming killing intent for the Seven Injuries Devil Honorable solidified in Su Han’s heart.

He knew, however, that with his current strength, he could not slay the Seven Injuries Devil Honorable. But he would never forget what happened today, and his desire to kill him would never fade.

WHOOSH!

Su Han activated the Character Technique of Motion, transforming into a streak of light as he fled Xiong’an City. He had to lead the Seven Injuries Devil Honorable away and create a chance for the city’s remaining people to survive. How many would make it would depend on their own destiny.

Seeing Su Han, the Seven Injuries Devil Honorable’s eyes flashed as he used Teleportation to give chase. ”You little thief, so you finally show your face! I told you I’d hunt you to the ends of the earth! You cannot escape my grasp!”

Su Han roared back as he fled, ”Seven Injuries Devil Honorable, I swear, I will kill you with my own hands!” He made this vow not for himself, but for the innocent people of Xiong’an City who had been slaughtered.

”Kill me? What a foolish dream!” the Seven Injuries Devil Honorable sneered, his body transforming into a rainbow as he gave chase. ”Let’s see where you run this time!”

A desperate chase began.

「Meanwhile, at the Seven Stars Sect, the war had reached its critical moment.」
