Zhan Shen: It’s Just a Sacrifice, How Can I Become a Villain?

459: Dean ChaosInside the Mental Hospital of Gods, Lin Qi Ye took a deep breath.

With the powerful assistance of the Elixir of Immortality, his Mental Energy Realm skyrocketed. Even more terrifying, using this power, Lin Qi Ye managed to open the doors of three wards at once.

He successively released Bragi, the Norse God of Music, Gilgamesh, the King of Heroes, and Sun Wukong, the Victorious Fighting Buddha, and extracted abilities from each of them.

However, even after doing all of this, Lin Qi Ye could still feel that the power of the Elixir of Immortality he had consumed was not fully depleted.

A bold idea suddenly sparked in his mind: Why not seize this opportunity to open all the ward doors in one go?

Looking at the ”book” symbol above the sixth ward’s door, Lin Qi Ye, as if by some divine intervention, walked towards it.

A sudden curiosity arose in Lin Qi Ye’s heart. He really wanted to know who was imprisoned in the last ward.

He gripped the doorknob, twisted it gently, and with a click, the doorknob turned halfway before suddenly jamming.

”Huh?” Lin Qi Ye felt a little strange. He had clearly turned it halfway, so why couldn’t he move it anymore?

In the Mental Hospital of Gods, surely the doorknob couldn’t be the problem, could it?

Lin Qi Ye, not believing in bad luck, gripped the doorknob tighter and twisted with more force. Unfortunately, this attempt yielded no results.

The doorknob remained stuck halfway, showing no sign of movement.

”Could the power of the Elixir of Immortality have been exhausted?”

Lin Qi Ye let go of his hand. Besides this reason, he couldn’t think of any other explanation.

Lin Qi Ye subconsciously took a few steps back, staring at the sixth door, observing it.

Aside from the doorknob being stuck, there was nothing else abnormal about the door.

Suddenly, Lin Qi Ye felt that something was amiss.

The Mental Hospital of Gods was simply too quiet.

Usually, Merlin and Li Yifei, along with the other orderlies, would be active in the courtyard.

However, just as Lin Qi Ye focused all his attention on the sixth door, the courtyard suddenly fell silent.

Besides Lin Qi Ye himself, there was no sign of any other living creature in the Divine Spirit Mental Hospital. Even more unsettling, the five wards that had previously been opened were now closed.

”Strange? I remember the doors were clearly open before?”

Lin Qi Ye frowned, returned to the previous wards, and gripped a doorknob.

He applied gentle force, but the doorknob didn’t react at all.

Lin Qi Ye’s heart jumped. He began to try each one, but the doorknobs seemed to be welded shut, completely impossible to open.

”Mother! Mr. Merlin!”

Lin Qi Ye shouted loudly, but no one responded to him.

”Director’s Office!”

A location suddenly flashed in Lin Qi Ye’s mind. Now that something was happening in the Mental Hospital of Gods, perhaps he could find clues in the Director’s Office.

Thinking this, Lin Qi Ye intended to go upstairs, but just as he reached the staircase, a bizarre scene unfolded.

The stairs had vanished!

The entire second floor of the Mental Hospital of Gods seemed to have been erased by an eraser, completely gone.

Not only the second floor, but even the entrance to the dungeon had been wiped away by some unknown force.

Nix, Merlin, the Great Sage, and even Li Yifei, were all gone.

”How could this be...”

Lin Qi Ye stared blankly at the altered hospital, feeling an immense fear in his heart.

Only then did he realize that he didn’t truly understand this Divine Spirit Mental Hospital.

”Click!”

In the silent Divine Spirit Mental Hospital, a crisp metallic clatter pulled Lin Qi Ye back from his astonishment.

He turned his head and saw that the sound came from the sixth ward.

The doorknob, which had been stuck halfway, had actually started to move on its own.

Lin Qi Ye’s heart immediately leaped into his throat. Now, there was only one possibility for the doorknob to turn: the door was being opened from the inside.

Lin Qi Ye gripped the Star Blade in his hand tightly, cautiously watching the sixth ward. He was already mentally prepared; the anomaly in the Mental Hospital of Gods was definitely related to the sixth ward.

So, what exactly happened in the sixth ward? And who was imprisoned inside?

Lin Qi Ye subconsciously swallowed, his nerves extremely tense.

The doorknob was now fully turned, and with a creak, the door opened!

”You’ve done well, child!”

A black figure emerged from the ward. It was then that Lin Qi Ye finally got a clear look at the figure.

The person was over three meters tall, with limbs as thin as straw, but a very thick torso.

A small head sat atop the torso, giving the entire body a very uncoordinated feeling.

That small head had no facial features, no face, and looked incredibly sinister.

And with the appearance of this unknown creature, the book symbol on the sixth ward slowly transformed into a question mark.

Lin Qi Ye looked at the creature that had emerged. He searched through all his memories but couldn’t find any corresponding deity.

”Who are you?” Lin Qi Ye had already drawn his Star Blade, asking.

The situation was clear now. This shadowy fellow was definitely not a good thing, and the anomaly in the Divine Spirit Mental Hospital was certainly related to it.

Hearing Lin Qi Ye’s question, the black monster let out a piercing, sinister laugh.

A black top hat appeared on its head.

”Respected Director Lin Qi Ye, oh no, to be precise, former Director.

Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Nyarlathotep.”

”Nyarlathotep?”

Hearing this name, Lin Qi Ye was greatly alarmed. He was too familiar with this name. Since the fishing village incident, the Night Watcher Headquarters had declassified information about the Cthulhu deities.

And Nyarlathotep was precisely one of the famous Three Pillar Gods of the Cthulhu Mythos.

However, its other name was even more widely known.

The Crawling Chaos! Among the Cthulhu deities, this one was most adept at disguise and stealth, and its personality was even more unpredictable. One could say that it was the most troublesome existence among the Three Pillar Gods.

”How did you infiltrate my Divine Spirit Mental Hospital? Also, what do you mean by ’former Director’ just now?”

Although Lin Qi Ye was a bit nervous now, he knew that understanding the full story was the most important thing.

”How did I get in? This hospital was originally ownerless. Anyone can become its owner. Memorial was like that, you are like that, so I can also become the owner of this hospital.”

Chaos chuckled, revealing its white teeth.

”So, you should now address me as Director Chaos!”
