Zhan Shen: It’s Just a Sacrifice, How Can I Become a Villain?

327: Cthulhu moves!Chen Lu left Uncle Chen in the fishing village, while he and Loki walked along the beach towards the deep sea.

The two of them continuously dove deeper into the ocean. As the sun set, the seabed became completely dark. The terrifying sense of suffocation and darkness was enough to break the psychological defenses of any ordinary person.

No one could endure this endless solitude and fear.

However, neither Chen Lu nor Loki were ordinary people.

After an unknown period of diving, suddenly, in the deep sea, streaks of blue-green eerie light flickered continuously.

Upon seeing that eerie light, Chen Lu’s mood instantly became excited.

”This is it. This is the corpse of the Whale of Change.”

Chen Lu immediately accelerated, moving quickly towards that eerie light.

Loki followed closely behind, carefully observing the enormous corpse of the sea beast.

Although the Whale of Change is a Divine Beast and possesses the Realm of a god, its nature is gentle, and it has no offensive power itself, only an extremely massive body.

Because of this characteristic, the Whale of Change is one of the few beings that can appear in the current world without attracting the attention of other gods.

In Japan’s history, sightings of the Whale of Change are also the most frequently recorded.

It can be said that the gods of Cthulhu choosing a Whale of Change as a key was indeed very secretive.

However, a Divine Beast tainted with the aura of Cthulhu has absolutely nothing to do with secrecy.

Loki had questions in his mind, but he did not ask immediately; instead, he planned to follow Chen Lu to understand the situation first.

Soon, the two of them arrived in front of the Whale of Change’s corpse.

By the blue-green eerie light, they clearly saw the true appearance of this sea beast.

This corpse had been dead for an unknown period, and almost its entire body was decayed. In some places, pale bones could even be clearly seen.

”The source of the time loop is inside. Follow me.” Chen Lu was already impatient and immediately swam into the Whale of Change’s mouth.

They passed through the Whale of Change’s oral cavity and followed the esophagus directly into the stomach.

The seawater here was murky, and decaying gastric fluid was mixed with the seawater; just one look would cause physiological discomfort.

However, Chen Lu completely disregarded these things. He swam to a massive stomach wall.

”This is it! This is it!”

Chen Lu excitedly gestured with his hands and feet. Loki looked up and saw that hundreds of ”people” were embedded in the enormous stomach wall.

Their lower bodies were completely fused with the stomach wall, and countless bloody tendrils on their upper backs connected them to the stomach wall.

Sensing someone had entered, those ”people” began to squirm.

Restricted by those bloody tendrils, they could not leave the stomach wall and could only turn their heads.

Their pale eyeballs looked like zombies. They stared fixedly at Chen Lu and Loki, opening their mouths to emit silent calls.

”Cthulhu...”

”Cthulhu...”

Hoarse voices spread through the murky seawater, and the bubbles occasionally emerging from their mouths made these syllables eerie and magical.

This was definitely not a sound that could be produced by a human voice.

An unspeakable grand ritual was unfolding within this decaying corpse.

Loki subconsciously touched his forehead; these strange notes made him feel a headache.

Although he had witnessed Cthulhu’s power from Odin, Odin’s power was completely different from the manifestation here.

From Odin, he could still feel a trace of rationality, but here, he could only feel a primitive desire and madness.

However, Chen Lu’s reaction was completely different from Loki’s; he excitedly knelt before the stomach wall.

”Thanks to the great Cthulhu, who allowed me to witness this magnificent ritual...”

He had not finished speaking when suddenly, in the center of the stomach wall, a silver light flashed.

That light was connected end to end, like an endlessly circulating ring.

After that light flashed, everything stopped.

The ”people” embedded in the stomach wall seemed to have fallen into a deep sleep, no longer making any movements, and those strange sounds also disappeared, as if they had never happened.

Loki looked at the light in surprise. It was then that he noticed a rusty straight blade embedded in the Whale of Change’s stomach wall.

On the circular hilt of the blade, a light slowly rotated, but that light gradually dimmed and finally disappeared completely.

”Chen Lu, is this the source of the time loop?” Loki asked.

Seeing the magnificent ritual disappear, a trace of anger appeared on Chen Lu’s face.

However, he knew now was not the time to vent.

”That’s right, this is the Time God’s method. You saw it just now, those ’chants’ are the Whale of Change’s attempt to break free from the time loop, but the power of the Law of Time is too overbearing.

Every time a ’chant’ begins, it is broken by the power of that time loop.

Everything returns to the starting point of the loop, repeating like this for 50 years now.”

Loki nodded thoughtfully, ”Where did these people on the stomach wall come from?”

Loki knew that the Whale of Change did not have a habit of eating people.

Upon hearing Loki’s question, a trace of madness suddenly surged onto Chen Lu’s face.

”Hahahaha, these are all members of my Chen clan!

We have completely sacrificed our Bloodline to the great Cthulhu.

We have already become one with the great Cthulhu!

Hahahahaha...”

Loki patted Chen Lu’s shoulder, interrupting his laughter.

”Then my second question: how did this Whale of Change become Cthulhu’s?”

Chen Lu’s expression stiffened, and he asked, ”Takamagahara has already been purified by Cthulhu, what’s so strange about that?”

A hint of cunning flashed in Loki’s eyes, ”Chen Lu, that lie isn’t clever at all.

If this Whale of Change was first corrupted and then left Takamagahara...

Not to mention the gods of other Divine Kingdoms, this Whale of Change would probably have been obliterated from the moon by Michael long ago.

Do you think a Divine Beast not known for its combat power could safely travel from Takamagahara to this small fishing village in Great Xia?”

Chen Lu hesitated for a moment, then finally sighed and said, ”As expected of the God of Mischief, nothing can be hidden from you.

However, this Whale of Change was indeed purified after leaving Takamagahara.

The one who acted was Lord Black Goat, Shub-Niggurath.”

Upon hearing that name, Loki’s pupils suddenly contracted.

The one who acted was actually the Black Goat, one of Cthulhu’s three main gods?

The Black Goat, was he also on Earth?

”You mean the Black Goat has revived?” Loki asked.

Chen Lu shook his head, ”Before the Black Goat was Sealed by Yelande, he left a small part of his true body on Earth.

After purifying this Whale of Change, he has been sleeping deep underground.

Except for himself, no one knows where he is.”
