Invincible Beyond Heavens: Cultivating With A Broken EXP System

Li Yun took a few steps forward, and only then did he truly sense the change within his body.

Each movement felt heavier than before. His legs carried an unfamiliar burden, and even a simple stride required noticeably more strength.

“I feel much heavier, and even walking consumes far more strength than usual,” he murmured softly.

He understood that this was the inevitable consequence of cultivating the World Bearing Devil Suppressing Physique. Power of this magnitude could not come without cost.

Fortunately, the secret art did not leave him without a solution.

Within its teachings was a specialized technique that allowed the practitioner to control the flow of qi throughout the body with extreme precision. By mastering this control, one could neutralize the oppressive sensation of their own weight and prevent it from affecting their surroundings.

However, such control demanded an exceptionally high level of mastery over qi. At his current stage, Li Yun had yet to reach that level.

If he could successfully grasp this method of qi manipulation, he would be able to regulate his internal and external qi in such a way that even if his body weight increased by 1000 times, the ground beneath him would remain undisturbed unless he deliberately chose otherwise.

According to the secret art, he would need to form a thin yet resilient layer of qi beneath the soles of his feet, positioned precisely at the point of contact with the ground. That layer would absorb and disperse the immense force generated by his weight. As a result, he could stand or walk normally without cracking the earth beneath him.

“This technique is truly remarkable,” Li Yun said with clear excitement.

He understood how ambitious it was. To completely prevent the force of one’s own weight from affecting the environment required extraordinary precision. The practitioner would need to maintain constant awareness and flawless control of their qi at all times.

Imagine sustaining such delicate regulation for hours, perhaps even days.

At the higher stages of the World Bearing Devil Suppressing Physique, the burden would become even more extreme. Without perfect control, a casual step could shatter stone and leave craters in the earth.

At that level, qi control would not simply be advanced. It would have to reach an almost unimaginable degree of refinement.

“I need to devote more time to refining and controlling my chaos qi,” Li Yun murmured as he returned to sit within the cultivation chamber.

He closed his eyes briefly and organized his thoughts.

“I have 6 months before the Four Peaks Tournament begins. I cannot remain in seclusion for the entire duration. At most, I can withdraw for 2 to 3 months. That should be sufficient to raise my cultivation arts and martial techniques to a high level of mastery.”

With his decision made, Li Yun sealed the entrance to the chamber and entered closed door cultivation.

Time passed quietly.

To the outside world, the seasons shifted and the winds changed. For Li Yun, immersed in cultivation, nearly 3 months slipped by in what felt like a single breath.

During those 3 months, the low grade sections of his 3 top grade Profound Rank cultivation arts advanced significantly.

Overlord Thunder Scripture, low grade Profound Rank section, reached 14 layers.

Wind God Raging Art, low grade Profound Rank section, reached 13 layers.

Great Sun Flame Scripture, low grade Profound Rank section, reached 14 layers.

Unlike Mortal Rank cultivation arts, which could only be cultivated to 9 layers of mastery, Profound Rank cultivation arts could be cultivated up to 15 layers. The higher the layer, the faster the cultivation speed and the greater the power drawn when circulating the technique.

As for his martial techniques, they too progressed steadily.

His mid grade Profound Rank Lightning Armament Hand reached the perfection stage of mastery. The same was true for Raging Wind Tiger Art and Crimson Lotus Flame Art, both mid grade Profound Rank techniques.

Although none of them had yet reached the true meaning stage, their power at the perfection stage was already formidable.

As for his sword technique, the Overlord Sword Art, Li Yun had already advanced it to the true meaning stage. Even he was surprised when he realized that among all his martial techniques, it was his sword art that reached true meaning first.

After reflecting on it, he understood the reason.

He had already transformed his Sword Intent Seed into True Sword Intent, and more importantly, he had refined it to 10%.

During these 3 months of seclusion, the Heaven Mandate Peak Head had personally guided him on several occasions. In one of those sessions, the Peak Head had explained the deeper mysteries of Intent.

Comprehending True Intent from an Intent Seed was only the beginning. That stage was considered foundational. To truly harness its power, one had to refine the Intent toward its source.

There were 10 levels in this process.

They progressed from 10% to 20%, then 30%, and so on, all the way to 100% source level mastery.

According to the Heaven Mandate Peak Head, only when an Intent reached 100% source level could it truly be called complete True Intent. Anything below that was merely an evolving state, still in the stage of growth.

Over the course of these 3 months, through constant cultivation and repeated tempering of his understanding, Li Yun had raised his Sword Intent to 10% source level.

He slowly exhaled.

“The power contained in 10% Sword Intent is far greater than when I first stepped into True Sword Intent from the Intent Seed,” Li Yun muttered softly, feeling the sharp and profound edge of his own intent within his consciousness.

As for the Heavenstorm Blazing Fist Art, it too had reached the perfection stage of mastery.

Li Yun slowly reviewed everything he had achieved over the past 3 months. His cultivation had advanced steadily, his techniques had deepened, and even his control over his qi had improved significantly.

Just as he was immersed in reflection, a knocking sound echoed from outside his courtyard.

Knock. Knock.

Li Yun opened his eyes.

“Who would come looking for me at a time like this?” he wondered.

He rose from the cultivation chamber, walked across the courtyard, and opened the gate.

Standing outside was Zhu Ximen.

“Brother Li Yun, how have you been?” Zhu Ximen asked with a broad smile.

“Brother Zhu, I am well. It is quite a surprise to see you here,” Li Yun replied warmly. “May I ask what brings you to my humble courtyard?”
