Time Travel: The Best Doctor in Ancient Times

Chapter 248: Chapter 146: This is What I Call Fair! Chapter 248: Chapter 146: This is What I Call Fair! After Zhou Mu finished saying that sentence, Gu Changsheng, with both hands covering his lips, stiffened in shock…

It seemed that she had forgotten a very critical and fatal issue: Zhou Mu, that oddity born into the Imperial Family, was still a young virgin!

“Take your hands away and let me see the injury,” Zhou Mu then, no longer caring for shyness and with a flushed face, struggled with Gu Changsheng’s hands that were covering her mouth.

“Evildoer, I’m fine, I’m fine,” Gu Changsheng, having regained her senses, quickly shook her head.

“No, how can it be fine? You’re bleeding. Come on, take your hands away,” Zhou Mu wasn’t so easily deceived, and he felt an immense sense of self-blame.

It was he who had hurt her, and even if it was uncontrollable, it was unforgivable.

Gu Changsheng shook her head like a bobblehead, defending the territory of her lips relentlessly.

Damn it, she was sure she now had what could only be described as a “sausage lip.”

How she regretted, deep inside, being so dazzled by Zhou Mu, that evildoer, that she had forgotten herself and responded back?

Her lips burned with pain, and Gu Changsheng looked accusingly at the culprit.

Beautiful men, they are definitely a calamity!

If you can’t avoid them, disaster is certain—they’re the very embodiment of this truth!

The more she dodged, the more worried Zhou Mu became. On the bed, one chased and the other dodged, initiating a chase mode.

But this battlefield was too small, the outcome all too apparent.

In no time, Gu Changsheng was overpowered and pinned down…

“Release your hands, let me see…” Zhou Mu’s concern was evident, focused on the injury.

“I won’t!” Gu Changsheng was even more resolute.

No woman likes to mar her beauty, and to ask her to show off a “sausage lip” was absolutely unthinkable!

“Let go.” Concerned he might hurt her, Zhou Mu dared not use force.

“Over my dead body!”

As their eyes met, the standoff momentarily deepened.

The night was silent, the surroundings quiet, allowing them to clearly hear each other’s heartbeats…

Under him, her body was finely shaped, and her curves, right beneath his chest, rose and fell unpredictably with her heartbeat…

In Zhou Mu’s eyes, beside the worry, a gentle romantic flame slowly kindled.

With this change, Gu Changsheng was deeply aware, as something began to heat up steadily, and it just happened to be pressing at her very core…

Gu Changsheng belatedly realized that they had finally resumed a normal male-female position.

Man on top, woman below, in perfect harmony…

“Let go…” Zhou Mu’s voice gradually grew hoarse, his eyes deep with desire.

Under that gaze, Gu Changsheng lost her bearings for a moment, but then quickly recovered a trace of rationality and shook her head.

“Form is emptiness, emptiness is form! Form is emptiness, emptiness is form…”

Zhou Mu looked at the woman in front of him, her eyes closed, covering her mouth and chanting, a trace of helplessness crossed his eyes, his voice filled with indulgence and concern, “Come on, take your hands away and let me see the injury.”

The husky voice became increasingly alluring, Gu Changsheng freed one hand to cover one of her ears, continuing to chant as if to shut out the enticing words, “Form is emptiness, emptiness is form, form is emptiness, emptiness is form…”

Zhou Mu truly felt defeated by her persistence. At this moment, he deeply regretted why he had brought Shang Xie close to her. If she had become devoted to Buddhism because of Shang Xie’s influence, wouldn’t that mean he would also have to follow the old Buddhist way and become a monk for the rest of his life?

“Take your hands away, or else I am calling Doctor Yhan Ting in to examine your injury. Choose between letting him or letting me,” having no other choice, Zhou Mu resorted to this strategy.

As expected, this tactic was very effective. In the next second, Gu Changsheng, furious beyond words, released her hands from her lips and pushed Zhou Mu away.

“Damn you, how dare you! Ouch…” With her mouth wide open, a burning pain shot through her lips, and Gu Changsheng couldn’t help but draw in a sharp breath.

Seeing this, Zhou Mu leaned forward, grabbed Gu Changsheng’s hands firmly to prevent her from covering her mouth again, and anxiously moved closer to inspect the injury on her lips.

“I’m sorry…” Seeing those swollen lips, and one spot clearly grazed by a tooth on the lovely red lips, Zhou Mu’s guilt deepened.

It was a mark he had left on her, and the recognition filled him with satisfaction…

A smile couldn’t help but appear on Zhou Mu’s face.

That one smile, blooming like the warmth of spring, seemed to fill the entire chamber with fragrance…

When Gu Changsheng caught sight of that smile which could overshadow the moon, she couldn’t help but roll her eyes and said resentfully, “How can I show my face like this? And you still dare to smile? If you dare to call him in, I’ll smash my head against the bedpost!”

A person needs face as a tree needs bark; clearly, Gu Changsheng was nowhere near shameless enough to be without either.

“Why go through all this trouble? I just won’t summon anyone,” Zhou Mu slowly covered his swollen lips, his face full of concern, “But I have some ointment; do you want to apply some?”

His earnest concern made it difficult for Gu Changsheng to pick a fight, so she just rolled her eyes at him again and shook her head, “The injury’s on such a spot, what’s the use of ointment? It’ll just get washed away by saliva in no time, it’ll heal on its own in a couple of days.”

That’s it! Let’s not blame others now, after all, he’s pure and simple, just a novice.

Unintentionally, Gu Changsheng thought of a phrase: New to the road, please take care!

Lost in thoughts, Gu Changsheng suddenly found herself amused by her own thoughts and started snickering, covering her mouth.

Her inexplicable laughter made Zhou Mu a bit uneasy.

But the more uneasy he became, the more Gu Changsheng laughed heartily, until finally, Zhou Mu’s face turned as black as the bottom of a pot, while Gu Changsheng burst into uncontrollable laughter, holding her stomach.

“Gu Changsheng!” Zhou Mu was on the verge of annoyance, instinctively knowing this woman must be mocking him!

Holding her stomach, laughing until she was out of breath, Gu Changsheng teasingly looked at the man as beautiful as flowers in front of her, “Don’t… get mad, I just think, accepting a kiss is a form of art, even if you haven’t eaten pork before, at least you’ve seen pigs walk, right? How could your spontaneous performance be so poor?”

At her words, Zhou Mu’s face grew darker and darker until it almost blended into the night…

“You, woman! Are you complaining about my lack of skills?” the man’s dignity was hurt, Zhou Mu’s expression obviously darkened.

“Correct answer,” Gu Changsheng laughed heartlessly.

“As the saying goes, practice makes perfect.”

When Gu Changsheng realized something was wrong, it was too late, a familiar shadow rushed over like a gale, pinning her entirely beneath him, the familiar scent of ambergris wafting between their lips once again…

Like a warm breeze passing over, testing light touches, gentle caresses, lingering motions, tender suction, awaiting her reaction earnestly.

His breath was so close, an unusual tingling spread instantly, making her heartstrings quiver uncontrollably. Her slender arms reached across his waist, slowly covering his lean midsection, Gu Changsheng subconsciously parted her lips, welcoming his deep advance.

Clumsily fostered mutual warmth, two equally inexperienced individuals explored each other, as if only such closeness could unleash the scorching heat burning within their hearts, releasing all their pent-up desires…

This complete abandonment to passion made even the moon outside the window blush and hide behind tree branches, not daring to show itself…

“Uh…”

The sudden sound snapped the distraught Gu Changsheng back to reality, and she pushed away Zhou Mu, who was covering his mouth, gasping heavily for air…

She almost suffocated from lack of oxygen! Facepalm!

On the other side, Zhou Mu was also covering his lips, slowly wiping them.

The look of passion in his eyes had not yet faded, one hand reached out in front of Gu Changsheng.

The sudden silence made Gu Changsheng unable to help but peek through slightly parted fingers under the moonlight, a hand as exquisite as jade paused in front of her eyes, under the dim light of the night, on that hand, among the blurry traces of moisture, was likewise a shred of fresh red…

In the next moment, Gu Changsheng suddenly released her hands and looked up at Zhou Mu’s face.

Indeed, his distinctively handsome face still had hints of emotional flush, and those sinfully enticing lips also… had a scrape.

“Uh…” At this moment, Gu Changsheng truly had no words to offer, feeling utterly awkward.

“Heh heh…” With one swift move of his long arm, Gu Changsheng, as expected, fell back into that warm embrace, “As you said, receiving a kiss is indeed a skill, and obviously your skills aren’t any better than mine.”

Gu Changsheng looked up speechlessly, only to see his chin as smooth as porcelain.

Alright then, it was a case of the pot calling the kettle black, damn it, accepting a kiss is indeed a skill, it’s not something you can master just by seeing!

She had children and still couldn’t master a kiss!

If this gets out, who would believe it? Who would?

Compared to her frustration, Zhou Mu was obviously in a much better mood, his deep laughter slowly spilling out.

“Laugh all you want, we’re evenly matched here, you bit me, and I bit you, fair is fair!” She couldn’t think of a more frustrating form of fairness than this, oh, Gu Changsheng really felt like dying, yet she had to maintain her composure.

She couldn’t let him catch this chance to utterly mock her.

Otherwise, she really would feel utterly humiliated.

Lying in Zhou Mu’s embrace, Gu Changsheng couldn’t help but fantasize to herself, what the hell was all this!

Gu Changsheng felt her lips swelling even more, the pain becoming sharper…

“Logically this shouldn’t be the case, this should just be a physiological reaction typical of primates, why did we experience such deviations?” Gu Changsheng found a comfortable position in Zhou Mu’s embrace and couldn’t help but bring up this professional topic.

She was a doctor, it made no sense that she couldn’t handle such a small matter as a kiss!

This was simply an insult to her intelligence, a discredit to her professional competence…

“Practice makes perfect, I believe we can definitely learn on our own,” Zhou Mu’s arms encircled Gu Changsheng’s slender waist, his face was radiant with confidence.
