World of Superpowers: Kill monsters to explode skills

55: Ranking thirdThe female android slowly lowered her raised right leg, not pursuing the attack.

“Envious?”

The female android said softly.

Aside from her eyes, her face was no different from an ordinary woman’s, and her voice was a little hoarse, yet with a faint magnetic quality.

“If you can take one of my attacks and survive, you are qualified to join us.”

“If you come to 01 Remodeling House for modifications, I can give you a 50% discount.”

“With just minor modifications, you can possess the same power as me.”

Her face revealed a haughty expression, and her tone carried a hint of allure.

“Too weak.”

A faint voice came from the dust mist, and a tall figure could vaguely be seen standing within it.

“You don’t think I used my full strength just now, do you? I only used 20% of my power.”

The female android said with a smile, raising her right hand and making a small gesture with her thumb and forefinger.

“But I just now… didn’t use any strength at all!”

The dust mist around Shi Yan instantly dispersed, but there was no one inside the area where the dust mist had scattered.

“Where is he?”

The female android turned her head, scanning her surroundings.

“High-energy object three meters directly above you.”

A mechanical synthesis voice sounded in the female android’s ear, and she immediately looked up.

A figure three meters tall, with blood-red Texture exposed everywhere except where covered by clothes, appeared directly above her.

His right leg sharply chopped down towards the female android’s head.

The female android’s pupils constricted, and flowing metal particles rapidly emerged from all over her body, instantly covering her entire form.

Her entire body also expanded to three meters, and she raised both hands to smash down on Shi Yan’s descending leg.

“Dong!”

The female android’s thick lower legs were completely embedded in the ground, and the mechanical metal casing of her hands was somewhat bent from the impact.

This metal must have been some special alloy; otherwise, ordinary metal could not have withstood Shi Yan’s attack.

The two were in a stalemate for a moment, then Shi Yan did a backflip and landed back on the ground where he was.

He then disappeared from his original spot again.

“Where is he this time!?”

The female android immediately looked around.

A massive force suddenly struck her back, sending her flying forward.

Shi Yan’s figure flashed again, appearing in the path where the female android was sent flying, and with another kick, the female android flew backward in the original direction again.

The female android was being tossed back and forth by Shi Yan, much like a ball.

She realized that Shi Yan was toying with her and immediately let out an angry roar.

“Enough! Since you’re so eager to die, I’ll grant your wish!”

“Activate Armor Mode!”

“Armor Mode activated.”

Pieces of mechanical armor sprang out from all over the female android’s body, and her body swelled and grew larger again.

Her wire-like hair seemed to move on its own, as if conscious, and the tip of each strand of hair glowed with purple electric light.

This time, Shi Yan’s figure suddenly appeared directly in front of the female android, and his blood-red fist slammed lightning-fast into her right cheek.

The female android’s head was bent to the left from the impact.

Shi Yan raised an eyebrow; he had used the same force that had just sent the female android flying, but he hadn’t expected that this time, her head would only bend.

The female android reached out to grab Shi Yan, and Shi Yan did not show weakness, extending both hands to grab the female android’s hands.

The two formed a tug-of-war situation.

The wire-like hair behind the female android’s head stabbed towards Shi Yan’s head, the purple electric light at the tips growing increasingly intense.

Shi Yan exhaled a cloud of deep black gas that corroded all the hair.

The female android showed no regret at this sight; instead, her eyes revealed a look of successful plotting.

Two deep red lasers suddenly shot out from her mechanical eyes.

Lasers also shot out from Shi Yan’s eyes; the lasers collided in mid-air and then slowly dissipated.

“You!”

The female android’s face was filled with disbelief.

“Alright, that’s enough.”

A ferocious arc appeared at the corner of Shi Yan’s mouth.

He had held back all this time to see how strong these mechanical Renovationpeople truly were. Now that his observation was complete, it was naturally time to end this battle.

The scene of stalemate and apparent equal strength was instantly shattered.

The female android’s hands were instantly crushed into flat iron pancakes.

Shi Yan grabbed the female android’s arms and lifted her entire body, then slammed her fiercely into the ground.

“Bang, bang, bang.”

As Shi Yan continued to smash her around, the special alloy all over the female android’s body developed black cracks, showing a tendency to disintegrate.

Shi Yan grabbed the female android, flew up into the air, and then slammed her violently towards the ground.

“Dong!”

A large pit appeared in the ground, and the female android had now become a pile of scrap metal.

“Why…”

The female android looked at Shi Yan with difficulty, a hint of unwillingness flashing in her mechanical eyes.

She completely couldn’t understand how Shi Yan could possess such power at Level 13.

She could feel that Shi Yan had not yet used his full strength; he was still holding back!

She was extremely jealous now, but also filled with intense curiosity.

Shi Yan did not answer her. He slowly walked to her side, looking at her with indifferent eyes.

The red light in the female android’s eyes slowly dissipated.

Shi Yan looked at the female android and slowly shook his head. Why? Of course, it’s because I have a cheat.

This female android’s strength was actually not weak; she just seemed very lackluster when facing Shi Yan, but she could easily defeat other first-tier players.

Shi Yan was too strong at this moment. He estimated that with his full power, he would have no problem fighting people in their thirties.

The system panel popped up after the female android died.

“You are victorious.”

“Your ranking: 3.”

“Winning streak: 16.”

Shi Yan’s ranking directly rose to third place, indicating that the female android from before must have been [0101], who was previously ranked third.

Shi Yan selected to start matching again. This time, he waited a long time but did not find a player to match with. It seemed that the top two players were either in a dungeon or had not come to the arena to match.

In the arena, one cannot challenge whoever they want; all challenge matches are random.

Players with a low winning streak will be matched with players whose ranking is not much different from their own, while players who reach a certain winning streak can only match upwards.

Every player, as long as they are not in a dungeon, can receive challenge notifications from other players. At this time, they can choose to accept or not accept.

The reason Shi Yan could challenge players much higher in rank than himself and quickly improve his ranking was mainly because his current winning streak was very high. However, precisely because his winning streak was very high, he could not match with players below him in rank at this time.

Every player on the leaderboard must participate in the arena at regular intervals, otherwise their ranking will automatically drop by one.

When the first-ranked player matches, a random player from the top three will be selected.

These rules had all been transmitted into Shi Yan’s mind by the system before.

The reward for third place was 10,000 slaughter points and three soul crystals.

Shi Yan chose to claim the rewards and then left the arena, returning to his settlement space.
