Clan Rise: Starting as a Grandfather

Chapter 1828: Chapter 1104: Allegiance and Shelter (Part 2)

If Yun Fan is only seeking sanctuary, Yang Zhenshan certainly cannot provide it.

”Yang Zhenjun, the Yang family has a Grotto Heaven...” Yun Fan said somewhat anxiously.

Yang Zhenshan raised his hand to interrupt, ”I understand what you mean, but you must also know the Yang family rules. If you wish to enter the Yang family’s Grotto Heaven, you must completely integrate into the Yang family, and thus the White Cloud Dao lineage would disappear!”

”It’s not that I’m making things difficult for you, nor am I hitting you when you’re down. This has always been the rule of the Yang family, since the very beginning! I cannot break the rules I set just for you all!”

Whether it’s a Sect or a family, upon entering the Life Realm Immortal Palace, they should not continue to exist.

Yang Zhenshan can allow small groups within the Life Realm Immortal Palace, but cannot allow entire Sects and families.

Especially Golden Core Sects and Immortal Clans, like the former Wuzhen Taoist Palace. After Xuanzhen ascended to become a Golden Core Cultivator, Wuzhen Taoist Palace ceased to be an independent Sect and became an institution within the Spirit Source Land, mainly to cultivate Immortal Cultivators.

Even Wuzhen Taoist Palace ended up this way, let alone others.

In Spirit Source Land, the only force that can maintain independence is the Demon Clan.

Green Wolf Clan, Golden Feathered Fire Crow, Gray-horned Green Ox, and others among the Demon Clan have significant independence, with their own tribes and lands. It’s inevitable because they cannot fully integrate into human society, so they must exist independently.

However, the Life Realm Immortal Palace will always prioritize Immortal Cultivators over the Demon Clan. Therefore, even if the Demon Clan maintains independence, it cannot replace the Life Realm Immortal Palace’s leading role.

Yun Fan was stunned and fell silent, bowing his head.

According to his previous plan, he just wanted to enter the Yang family’s Grotto Heaven temporarily, avoiding danger until it passed, and then relocate and rebuild the White Cloud Dao lineage elsewhere.

Yang Zhenshan’s words undoubtedly negated his idea.

This made him feel quite uncomfortable but helped him understand the Yang family rules.

It is not strange for the Yang family to have such a rule; any force with a Grotto Heaven wouldn’t allow others to enter freely.

Like Qingyuan Cave Heaven, except for the Fox Clan, it wouldn’t accommodate other demon clans or human cultivators.

Now the dilemma arises, should they join the Yang family or not.

Yun Fan did not realize that the Yang family that Yang Zhenshan referred to is now the Sect White Jade City. There is a significant difference between an Immortal Clan and a Sect. Immortal Clans are just families. Cultivators like them, if joining an Immortal Clan, would become Guest Elders, subordinated to the clan.

A Sect is different; even though it may be hard to integrate initially, over time, they can become fully part of the Sect.

Yang Zhenshan did not state that the current Yang family has become a Sect, which leaves Yun Fan hesitating.

In fact, Yang Zhenshan does not want to reveal the existence of White Jade City right now. Though it wouldn’t have much impact even if exposed, it’s unnecessary.

When portrayed as the Yang family externally, it makes people undervalue it, thinking it is just an Immortal Clan without posing significant threat.

However, if they publicize White Jade City and its current power, it would be taken seriously and viewed as a threat.

Whilst Yun Fan was hesitating about whether to join the Yang family, someone loudly reported from outside the bamboo tower, ”True Monarch, a large number of demon clans have arrived outside the mountain gate, requesting your sanctuary!”

Yang Zhenshan asked in surprise, ”Many demon clans?”

”Yes, over ten thousand apparently resembling Spirit Deer!”

Yang Zhenshan’s thoughts moved, and his Spiritual Sense expanded, scanning beyond the mountain gate in the east.

Seeing the scene outside the mountain gate, the corners of his mouth twitched slightly.

It truly was many!

This wasn’t a demon clan; it was clearly a herd of deer.

But those responsible for guarding the mountain gate are Martial Artists; they cannot distinguish how many are demon beasts and how many are mutant beasts within.

”You go and invite Moon Jade Demon King over!” He instructed Lin Pingyang.

”Understood!” Lin Pingyang responded and exited.

Yun Fan merely watched all this silently; noticing Yun Fan’s expression, Yang Zhenshan explained, ”It’s the Spirit Deer Clan from Wanhua Demon Court. I guess they want to rely on our Yang family as well!”

”Ah~”

Yang Zhenshan sighed lightly.

After relocating three hundred thousand people to Spirit Source Land last time, he did not plan to accept many more people into Spirit Source Land.

But given the current situation, it seems he cannot help but accept them.

Spirit Deer Clan can be refused, but figures from Sea of Spirit and White Cloud Dao lineage are difficult to turn away.

Sea of Spirit embraces Illusion Moon Sect, Xuanqing Sect, the Lu family, the Lan family, and more. Many familiar Sects and families, old friends, he surely cannot ignore them.

White Cloud Dao lineage holds an even deeper connection; considering White Cloud True Monarch’s esteem, he cannot reject Yun Fan and others unless they refuse to follow the Life Realm Immortal Palace rules.

As for the Spirit Deer Clan, he could refuse them, but they possess considerable power and have a Demon King.

Accepting the Spirit Deer Clan into the Life Realm Immortal Palace could significantly bolster White Jade City’s strengths.

So, the Spirit Deer Clan is, in fact, the one he most wishes to accept.

Upon hearing this, Yun Fan ceased hesitating and stated, ”We wish to join the Yang family. Please, True Monarch, accept us!”

”Are you sure, joining the Yang family means you will no longer be part of the White Cloud Dao lineage!” Yang Zhenshan said.

”I understand. We will henceforth be part of the Yang family!” Yun Fan confidently stated.

They no longer had a choice.

”Alright then, gather everyone and bring them over!”

”How many can we bring?” Yun Fan asked eagerly at Yang Zhenshan.

Yang Zhenshan chuckled lightly, ”Bring as many as you wish! But you have little time left.”

Spirit Source Land spans thousands of miles; Yun Fan could even move the entire Qingli Immortal City if he wanted.

The number isn’t the issue; time is.

”Understood!”

Yun Fan also left; they needed to migrate quickly.

Although the White Cloud Dao lineage currently has few people, Qingli Immortal City holds many who are dependents of the White Cloud Dao lineage. Even if they join the Yang family, they couldn’t abandon those dependents since they are their kin.

As Yun Fan departed, Yue Yao came over.

The two were not meeting for the first time, so there was no need for pleasantries. Besides, Yue Yao came bringing her entire clan, showing full sincerity.

Before, Yang Zhenshan refused the Spirit Deer Clan’s request for asylum, but this time he did not plan to reject it again.

”Rules are rules; I hope you understand,” Yang Zhenshan said to Yue Yao.

Yue Yao nodded slightly, ”I understand. As long as my clan will not suffer oppression, I am willing to abide by all your rules!”

Yang Zhenshan stroked his beard, gazing at the exceptionally charming Demon King before him.

”Very well, I won’t say much else. Once you enter the Grotto Heaven, you’ll understand.”

”You can enter the Grotto Heaven now; I’ll arrange for someone to allocate tribal lands for you!”

Yang Zhenshan did not elaborate to Yue Yao because the current situation cannot be fully explained; once she enters the Life Realm Immortal Palace, she’ll understand it clearly.

As for oppression, it does exist in Spirit Source Land, it being a complex society, it cannot be flawless. But under Yang Zhenshan’s rules, oppression of demon clans by human clans does not occur in Spirit Source Land.

Fairness and justice are the fundamental principles of Spirit Source Land’s rules.

Yang Zhenshan has always strived to maintain these principles.

Afterward, the Spirit Deer Clan entered the Yang Family Blessed Land, numbering over ten thousand with roughly ten percent being demon beasts—about one thousand—with the remaining being mutant beasts.

This rendered the Spirit Deer Clan the strongest force within the Life Realm Immortal Palace and as a relatively independent force.

Yang Zhenshan was not worried about the Spirit Deer Clan rebelling.

Times have changed; with his cultivation and Divine Dao Intent advancing, his control over Life Realm Immortal Palace grows stronger.

Especially since he acquired Void Sealing skills. Previously in Life Realm Immortal Palace, Golden Core Cultivators and Demon Kings could directly enter the Void. But now, if Yang Zhenshan is unwilling to let someone leave the Life Realm Immortal Palace, no one can.

He comprehended Void Sealing, not implying he can seal the Void outside Life Realm Immortal Palace, but rather that he can control the sealing ability of the Life Realm Immortal Palace.

The Life Realm Immortal Palace is itself a Void Spiritual Treasure, inherently capable of sealing the Void. But previously, Yang Zhenshan hadn’t understood Void Sealing, thus could not control this ability.

Moreover, Yang Zhenshan’s power within Life Realm Immortal Palace surpasses most, not much less than Golden Core Peak experts.

With such power, and combined with individuals like Yun Xiao, Lin Qihe, and others, even if Yue Yao rebels, they can suppress her.
