Divine Level Witch Doctor

Zhao Yuan’s brow furrowed and he muttered, ’You’ve got to be kidding me. In the time it took me to make one phone call, I’ve already gotten several more spam messages? Weird. Our university’s forum isn’t exactly popular, so how did so many ad spammers get in here? And they’re so brazen, too. I’ve already blocked messages from strangers, but I’m still getting them. I have no idea what the forum administrators and moderators are doing. They’re not handling this at all. It’s just so irresponsible!’

”ACHOO.” Han Xiaoyun, one of the moderators in question, sneezed. She rubbed her nose and mumbled to herself, ’Why did I suddenly sneeze? Is someone talking bad about me behind my back? Ugh, I don’t have time for this right now. I need to figure out how to contact the ”Man Who Wants to Be a Witch Doctor.” Damn it, why isn’t he replying to my messages? Did he not see them? No, I have to send him another one.’

She rapidly tapped on her keyboard, and soon another message was sent to Zhao Yuan’s forum inbox.

Unfortunately, Zhao Yuan, who was convinced his inbox was full of spam, couldn’t even be bothered to click on it this time. He turned his attention directly to the questions he had searched for and began another round of flooding the board with answers.

At President Ma Guotao’s house, several old professors were waiting anxiously, repeatedly asking Haoyu, who was sitting in front of the computer, ”Anything? Did he write back?”

”No.” Haoyu shook his head. ”I’ve already sent him several messages in a row, but there’s been no response... Huh? He’s started answering questions!”

That sentence immediately drew the eyes of all the old professors to the computer screen.

”He didn’t reply to our messages. Could it be because he was busy answering questions and didn’t see them? Why don’t we wait a bit? It’s not too late to message him again after he’s done.”

”Right! Let’s go see what kind of questions he’s answering first!”

”I wonder if he’ll offer another brilliant dissertation this time?”

”Haoyu, don’t just sit there. Hurry up and open the questions he answered so we can see.”

How could Haoyu dare refuse the requests of these old professors? He quickly clicked open several of the questions Zhao Yuan had completed, allowing the group of old men to view and comment on them.

”Hm? The questions he’s doing this time are in the scope of Qi and Blood and the internal organs and meridians.”

”Before it was the Essence and Qi Theory and Yin Yang Five Elements, and now it’s Qi and Blood and the internal organs and meridians. This ’Man Who Wants to Be a Witch Doctor’ is answering questions according to the teaching sequence of the Basic Theory of Traditional Chinese Medicine. Is there some deeper meaning to this?”

”Could he be planning to use this method to teach the Basic Theory of Traditional Chinese Medicine?”

”That shouldn’t be it. If he wanted to teach the Basic Theory of Traditional Chinese Medicine, couldn’t he just post a lesson plan? That would be more systematic and easier for students to understand and learn from.”

The professors chattered amongst themselves, guessing at the ”Man Who Wants to Be a Witch Doctor’s” purpose for flooding the board. However, they never would have imagined that the man in question was actually a first-year university student. He wasn’t flooding the board to teach; he was simply trying to consolidate the new knowledge he had just learned...

On the forum, things grew even more lively as Zhao Yuan began answering questions.

”The Great God of Witch Doctor is flooding the board with answers again!”

”I’m waiting for the Great God of Witch Doctor’s essay questions to pop up. I love reading his answers to those. They’re just brilliant!”

”+1 for liking the Great God of Witch Doctor’s essay questions!”

Because the ID ”Man Who Wants to Be a Witch Doctor” was a bit of a mouthful, everyone had simply shortened it to ”Great God of Witch Doctor.”

As the person at the center of it all, Zhao Yuan had no idea that simply by answering some questions he had attracted everyone’s attention. All his energy was focused on the task at hand, leaving no room for any other concerns.

His speed was, as always, incredibly fast.

A large number of threads with his answers appeared on the front page of the medicine section, sparking discussion as people read through them.

”As expected of the Great God of Witch Doctor! His answering speed is insane!”

”When it comes to answering questions, the Great God of Witch Doctor is the only one I respect!”

”Quick, go look at the essay question about Qi that the Great God of Witch Doctor just answered! Holy shit, it’s so well-written! When I was studying Qi, why didn’t anyone explain this stuff in such a simple and easy-to-understand way?”

”I’m a first-year Traditional Chinese Medicine student, and I just studied Qi not long ago. To be honest, it was a real headache. I basically just rote-memorized everything without really understanding much. But after reading the Great God of Witch Doctor’s dissertation today, I feel like I’ve been enlightened. It all just clicked into place in an instant.”

”To the freshman who posted above, you’ve really lucked out!”

”Jeez, upperclassman, I’m a girl!”

”Really, a girl? What’s your WeChat ID? This upperclassman can tutor you...”

Back in Ma Guotao’s home, the group of old professors, led by Xiao Xianlin and Liu Mingzhang, were also discussing the answers.

”This dissertation on Qi is truly well-written!” one professor exclaimed with sincere admiration, adjusting his reading glasses.

”I think this one on the Extraordinary Fu-Organs is even better!” said another professor.

”Don’t you all think his answer regarding the Eight Extraordinary Meridians is the best one?” Even Ma Guotao couldn’t help but chime in. As the president of West Hua Medical University, he was also a profoundly knowledgeable medical expert.

One after another, they voiced their opinions, and it actually turned into a debate. Finally, they turned their gazes to Xiao Xianlin and Liu Mingzhang and asked in unison, ”Elder Xiao, Elder Liu, in your opinion, which article is better?”

Liu Mingzhang pondered for a moment before speaking. ”Every single article is exceptionally well-written! His ability to explain profound concepts in the simplest, most easy-to-understand language to clarify the issue is especially admirable!”

”Old Liu is right,” Xiao Xianlin said, nodding in agreement. ”What I admire most about ’Man Who Wants to Be a Witch Doctor’ is his ability to explain Traditional Chinese Medical Theory in the simplest of terms. As we all know, there are many philosophical concepts within Traditional Chinese Medical Theory that are incredibly profound and mysterious. Forget ordinary people who haven’t studied it; even some who have studied Traditional Chinese Medicine for years can get dizzy reading it. But ’Man Who Wants to Be a Witch Doctor’ uses the plainest language to explain these concepts with such clarity that one can understand them at a glance. This ability is truly breathtaking! Just as Mr. Cao commented before, to achieve this, one must have an extremely deep mastery of the relevant knowledge! On this point, I have to admit I’m not his equal!”

”Neither am I!” Liu Mingzhang sighed, his voice low. ”I had always thought that my own understanding of the basic theories had reached a very high level. But after seeing these articles written by ’Man Who Wants to Be a Witch Doctor,’ I now realize that I was nothing more than a frog in a well! There are truly so many capable people in this world!”

The professors all nodded, completely agreeing with the two men’s words.

When it came to the level of theoretical knowledge displayed by ”Man Who Wants to Be a Witch Doctor,” they had just one word for him—respect!

Soon, an hour had passed. Zhao Yuan had finished answering all the questions in the medicine section related to Qi and Blood and the internal organs and meridians.

”So satisfying!”

Rubbing his slightly throbbing temples, Zhao Yuan logged out of the forum, shut down his computer, and flopped onto his bed.

He didn’t plan on pulling an all-nighter to study the following material. Tonight, he was going to get a wonderful night’s sleep.

A good balance of work and rest was the key to better learning, after all!

However, what Zhao Yuan didn’t expect was that while he himself would sleep soundly, many people would suffer a sleepless night because of him!
