Divine Level Witch Doctor

While Zhao Yuan was on the phone with Fang Yi, the medical section of the university’s online forum had already erupted into chaos.

As it turned out, the moment Zhao Yuan logged into his ”Man Who Wants to be a Witch Doctor” account, people noticed that the mysterious expert who had won over so many professors was online. Everyone scrambled to spread the word. Within a few short minutes, countless users had flooded the medical section. If the West Hua Medical University forum hadn’t just upgraded its servers, the sheer volume of traffic would have undoubtedly crashed the site.

The people flooding the medical section to ”see the Great God” weren’t just teachers and students from West Hua Medical University, but also staff from many other schools and hospitals.

Over the past few days, word of the ”Man Who Wants to be a Witch Doctor” account had spread throughout the medical community. Everyone was speculating about the user’s identity. His ability to explain complex problems in simple terms, along with his brilliant dissertation on Yin Yang, had become hot topics of discussion.

Many students were complaining that their own professors’ lectures were dry and nowhere near as easy to understand as the explanations given by ”Man Who Wants to be a Witch Doctor.” Meanwhile, many teachers attempted to emulate this style of making the profound simple, but all of them failed. In the end, a highly respected veteran professor stepped forward to explain that while the ”Witch Doctor’s” method seemed simple, it actually demanded an incredibly high level of medical expertise. Without a rock-solid theoretical foundation and a vast repository of knowledge, it was simply impossible.

As a result, people’s admiration for ”Man Who Wants to be a Witch Doctor” grew, as did their curiosity about his true identity. However, after his last appearance, where he’d dominated the forum by answering a storm of questions, this Great God had seemingly vanished, not showing his face for days. His return today was, naturally, causing a sensation.

And the number of people rushing to the forum after hearing the news was still increasing rapidly!

At Capital City Medical University, a few students from the Traditional Chinese Medicine department were studying in the library. Suddenly, one of their phones rang. Amidst the annoyed glares of those around him, he apologized as he quickly answered, whispering, ”What’s up? I’m in the library study—holy shit!”

He shot to his feet, his voice suddenly several times louder, startling everyone nearby. He remained completely oblivious, however, still exclaiming in shock, ”What did you say? Say that again! I didn’t mishear you, did I? The Great God, ’Man Who Wants to be a Witch Doctor,’ is online? What the hell am I still studying for? I gotta get back to my computer and worship the Great God!”

The excited student hung up, grabbed his textbooks, and bolted out of the library. After a few seconds of stunned silence, a whole crowd of people shot to their feet with a RUSTLE and sprinted back toward their dorms or the nearby internet cafes...

In a Grade A Tertiary hospital in Hu City, several specialists had just finished working overtime on a consultation and were about to head home. Just then, a young doctor burst into the office, shouting excitedly, ”’Man Who Wants to be a Witch Doctor’ is online!”

”What?” ”He’s really online?” ”Where’s the computer? Quick! Get on the computer and contact him!”

The specialists instantly forgot about going home, all of them crowding around the computer.

Similar scenes were playing out in major medical schools and hospitals across the country.

As the moderator of the medical section, Han Xiaoyun was among the first to learn that ”Man Who Wants to be a Witch Doctor” was online.

’Did my reckless actions anger him? If this Great God now has a bad impression of West Hua Medical University because of me, I’ll be in huge trouble!’ Her anxiety had only intensified when ”Man Who Wants to be a Witch Doctor” hadn’t logged on at all since the incident.

Now, seeing that ”Man Who Wants to be a Witch Doctor” was truly online, Han Xiaoyun was so excited she waved her arms and ran several laps around her dorm room. After calming down, she stuck her tongue out playfully and said, panting, ”A Divine Level figure like him must be magnanimous. How could he possibly get angry over a small mistake of mine? I was worrying for nothing. I was totally judging a gentleman by my own petty standards. Oh, right! I have to tell Elder Xiao and the others right away!”

Although the incident had earned Han Xiaoyun a scolding, it had also given her Xiao Xianlin’s phone number. Elder Xiao was too old to be online frequently, so he had given Han Xiaoyun his number and instructed her to notify him immediately if there was any news about ”Man Who Wants to be a Witch Doctor.”

Finding Xiao Xianlin’s number, Han Xiaoyun made the call.

The call connected quickly, and Xiao Xianlin’s voice came from the phone. ”Hello, who is this?”

”Hello, Elder Xiao. This is Han Xiaoyun, the moderator for the university forum’s medical section...”

Before Han Xiaoyun could finish, Xiao Xianlin cut her off. ”What is it? Is there news about ’Man Who Wants to be a Witch Doctor’?”

”Yes,” Han Xiaoyun replied hurriedly. ”I saw him log into the forum!”

”Good. I understand. See if you can get in contact with him,” Xiao Xianlin instructed.

”Yes, sir,” Han Xiaoyun replied.

After hanging up, Xiao Xianlin immediately headed to the principal’s house. They didn’t live in the same building, but both resided in the university’s faculty housing area, which was nearby. When he entered the principal’s home, he discovered several people already there, all crowded around a computer. Liu Mingzhang, a man of equal renown, was among them.

”Old Xiao, you’re here,” Liu Mingzhang greeted him.

”How is it? Have you managed to contact him?” Xiao Xianlin asked, not the least bit surprised by the scene before him.

”Not yet,” a man replied, looking up. Xiao Xianlin recognized him; it was Haoyu, a staff member from the university’s logistics department who was said to be a computer whiz. ”It’s probably because too many people were sending him private messages. He just changed his settings to reject messages from strangers.”

”Then what do we do?” Principal Ma Guotao asked with a frown.

Ever since seeing the answers provided by ”Man Who Wants to be a Witch Doctor,” especially the discourse on Yin Yang Theory, he had been desperate to contact the man and invite him to teach at West Hua Medical University. ’At the very least, he could be a guest professor and give a few lectures,’ he thought.

”Don’t worry, Principal Ma,” Haoyu replied. ”Even though he’s rejecting messages from strangers, we can send him one using an administrator account.”

Ma Guotao was overjoyed. ”Excellent!” he ordered. ”Send him a message right away. Tell him that we at West Hua Medical University want to offer him a teaching position! Make it clear that our offer is sincere!”

”Okay!” Haoyu nodded and immediately began composing and sending the message.

At the same time, several other administrators and moderators were doing the exact same thing. Thus, when Zhao Yuan finished his phone call and returned to his computer, he found a bright red number flashing in his forum inbox once again.
