BTTH: Rebirth of Liu Xi

In the western part of Lin City, Jia Ma Empire, located in the northwest region of the Dou Qi Continent, a young man paced anxiously outside a birthing room. Clearly, the woman inside—his wife—was in labor.

As he walked back and forth, he muttered, ”This little rascal, why isn’t he coming out yet?”

Just as he spoke, a crisp cry echoed from inside the room.

”Wah, wah, wah!”

”He’s born, he’s born!” came the joyful voice, and the man immediately wanted to rush inside.

The midwife, who was wrapping the newborn in soft cloth, smiled and said, ”Congratulations, it’s a boy.”

The young man, Liu Ming, first glanced happily at the child before walking over to the bedside. Looking at his wife tenderly, he said, ”You’ve worked hard, my dear.”

Meanwhile, the newborn swaddled in cloth faintly awakened to a trace of awareness.

’I still have consciousness? Where is this place?’

But before he could think further, his weak cries turned into drowsiness, and he drifted into sleep.

Four Years Later

A group of children was playing noisily. Among them sat a small boy, dressed simply but undeniably adorable. Yet, unlike the lively atmosphere around him, he seemed unusually calm, out of place in the chaos.

He sat quietly off to the side. It had been four years since he had crossed into this world. Finally, he had slowly learned the language here. Through observation and hints gathered over time, he confirmed that in this world there existed a transcendent power called Dou Qi.

And the place he was in… was the Jia Ma Empire’s Lin City.

This discovery had shocked him beyond belief. This was the world of Battle Through the Heavens. To his past self, it had only been a novel. But now, it was his reality.

In this world of extraordinary powers where the strong devoured the weak, one could truly die at any moment!

After the initial surge of excitement, he gradually calmed down and began planning for the future. Especially because of his pit-digging father—who had named him Liu Xi.

In the original story, Liu Xi was a minor villain in the early stages. Invited by the Jia Lie Clan to refine pills against the Xiao Family, he later courted disaster by coveting Gu Xun’er’s beauty and was utterly destroyed by the protagonist, Xiao Yan.

Of course, countless people might share the same name, so he couldn’t be certain if he was destined to be that Liu Xi. His father, Liu Ming, had once been a mercenary, reaching the 3-star Dou Shi realm before retiring due to injury. At least he could follow his father in cultivating Dou Qi. But the most critical path—alchemy—when would he begin apprenticing for that?

If he truly was the Liu Xi of the novel, then his greatest calamity would be the day he was invited by the Jia Lie Clan to refine pills, putting him directly against the protagonist.

Even if Xiao Yan’s so-called protagonist’s halo didn’t affect him, just dealing with Xiao Yan’s spirit master, Yao Lao, would be impossible. Not to mention the young lady of the Gu Clan—Gu Xun’er.

’Know yourself best. I don’t have any cheat abilities. Best to keep my head down. Safety first.’

As dusk fell, the children dispersed. Liu Xi headed home. His family lived in the western part of Lin City. His father, Liu Ming, now worked as an instructor at a martial hall. His mother, Li Yue, had once tried cultivating Dou Qi but lacked the talent. After Liu Ming retired from mercenary life due to his injuries, Li Yue married him and dedicated herself to raising their child.

When Liu Xi returned home, he first greeted his mother.

”Mother, I’m back.”

Hearing his voice, Li Yue replied, ”Xi’er, welcome home. You must be hungry—have some snacks first.”

”Okay, Mother.”

Not long after, Liu Ming also returned. After dinner, Liu Xi eagerly approached his father.

”Father, I want to begin cultivating.”

Liu Ming’s smile faded slightly. ”Xi’er, are you ready?”

”Yes. I’m ready.” Liu Xi’s voice was firm.

”Good. Then rest early tonight. Tomorrow, we’ll begin officially.”

”Can’t it wait another year or two? Xi’er is still so young,” Li Yue interjected worriedly. To a mother, cultivation seemed dangerous for such a small child.

”He’s not too young anymore. And it’s his own decision,” Liu Ming said as he turned toward her.

”Father, Mother, I won’t disappoint you.” With his father’s approval, Liu Xi smiled brightly at both parents.

At the same time, he thought, ’Finally, I can begin cultivating Dou Qi.’

In the original novel, there had been no mention of Liu Xi’s parents. But after living with them for four years—being cared for tenderly day and night—he truly accepted them as his family.

Though his mature soul sometimes made it awkward to act childish before them, he still genuinely cherished these parents of his new life.

Both Liu Ming and Li Yue were quite attractive. As their child, Liu Xi had rosy lips and white teeth, a delicate face that showed he would surely grow into a handsome young man. From a cute child to a future heartthrob—Liu Xi was more than satisfied with his appearance.

’Even without a golden cheat, my soul as a transmigrator should be stronger than ordinary people. Early cultivation should be faster for me.’

Back in his room, he pondered his advantages. A confident smile spread across his face.

’Tomorrow, I’ll find out everything.’
