Ghost Catching System

Chu Hao kicked away, but more Dead Souls clung onto him, trying to drag him down.

If he gets dragged down, will he really die?

Chu Hao panicked, kicking hard, but the distance between him and his mother’s world was becoming greater.

”Mom!”

Chu Hao was terrified; he had never experienced such fear, being so close to family yet completely helpless now.

Chu Hao shouted, ”System, think of a way quickly.”

System: ”You finally remembered me, I thought you didn’t need this System.”

”Recommended host to purchase...”

System: ”WTF!!”

What’s going on?

The System’s reaction was so unusual, completely unlike its style.

Before the System could respond, the woman who made a wish under the silver tree looked up, looking in the direction where Chu Hao was.

The woman said, ”Who’s at Wangyou Terrace?”

WTF!!

System: ”????”

Chu Hao was also stunned.

Could his mother hear them talking?

How was this possible?

The two of them were supposed to be in different worlds.

Moreover, who could hear the system speaking in his mind?

The System was surprised and said, ”She seems to hear this System and the Host talking.”

Chu Hao shouted, ”It’s me, Chu Hao! Mom, help!”

The woman’s heart trembled, her face filled with excitement, her hands quickly forming a seal, and fiercely tore through the air.

Suddenly, a scene that left Chu Hao and the System utterly shocked unfolded.

A tear appeared between the Soul Sea space of the Wangyou Terrace and the space where his mother was.

Chu Qingcheng looked toward the vast Soul Sea.

With one glance, she saw Chu Hao’s figure, entangled with numerous Dead Souls, tears streaming down her face.

”My child.”

Chu Hao was utterly shocked and said, ”Is this really my mom?”

System: ”Is this your mom?”

Chu Qingcheng was very beautiful, and at that moment, extremely excited. She saw Chu Hao at a glance and reached out to grab.

Instantly, Chu Hao was pulled out of the Soul Sea, and those Dead Souls who wanted to follow were blasted into ash by his mother’s cold snort!

Chu Hao arrived at his mother’s place.

Chu Hao hurriedly got up from the ground, only to feel a warmth, being tightly embraced by someone.

At this moment, he wished he would never have to let go.

”Child, you finally came.”

Chu Hao’s tense nerves instantly relaxed; this embrace was so warm, so safe.

After a long while, Chu Qingcheng let go of Chu Hao. She was beautiful, truly the little princess of the Chu family, once a prodigy of the Yin and Yang Realm; her pretty face was full of tears, making her look pitiful, saying, ”Let mom take a good look at you.”

Chu Hao smiled as happily as a child.

Chu Qingcheng’s voice trembled, crying and laughing, saying, ”Not bad, not bad, you’ve grown up.”

”You’ve inherited a lot from your father, your looks are rather ordinary, still quite a little handsome boy. If you inherited all from me, it wouldn’t be good for a man to be too pretty.”

Chu Hao was speechless for a moment; he used to be so ordinary, just like a nerd in school.

Chu Hao looked at his mother; this was the first time he was so close to her, he was bursting with happiness.

Chu Qingcheng kissed Chu Hao’s forehead again, holding him tightly.

Chu Hao looked at his mother’s white hair with heartache and said, ”Mom, what happened to your hair?”

Chu Qingcheng wiped away her tears and smiled, saying, ”This is the bloodline of the Silver Trace Butterfly; right now, it’s just white hair. When I reach a certain level of cultivation, I can turn it into silver, and then back.”

Silver Trace Butterfly?

Ancient species bloodline.

Chu Hao was incredibly surprised at what his mother had gone through all these years.

Mother and son sat down, finally able to talk properly.

Chu Hao spoke of his experiences over the years.

Chu Qingcheng felt more and more heartache as she listened, saying, ”Child, you’ve suffered so much all these years.”

Chu Hao shook his head; being able to see his mother made all past experiences worth it.

Chu Hao spoke of his experiences over the years.

Chu Qingcheng said with heartache, ”King Qin Guang did something to you, I will make him pay a hundredfold, and as for the Yin Cao Netherworld, whether it’s King Ksitigarbha or Houtu, they’ll pay the price.”

Chu Hao asked curiously, ”Mom, where’s dad?”

Chu Qingcheng suddenly went silent.

Chu Hao felt a bad premonition in his heart.

Chu Qingcheng smiled and said, ”Your dad is fine; it’s just that we’ve been separated. He’s safe now, trying hard to reunite our family.”

Chu Hao breathed a sigh of relief; as long as dad was fine, everything was okay.

Chu Hao cried, ”I missed you both so much.”

Chu Qingcheng said, ”We missed you too, child.”

It was almost like a dream; he had truly seen his mother, and in such a way.

Chu Qingcheng also spoke of her experiences over the years.

”After settling you in the Human World, your father and I went to the Yin Cao Netherworld, later accomplishing things there, discovering some things, and then being deported to the Great Netherworld.”

Chu Hao nodded; he had already learned about this.

”The Great Netherworld, it’s the borderline of the Human World and the Netherworld Continent. Most Dead Souls from the outside world have to pass through the Great Netherworld to reach the Netherworld Continent. We were deported to the Great Netherworld to guard the graves, and it’s been more than three years.”

”Later, during grave-keeping, we encountered a situation; this situation led to a huge increase in both our powers. I obtained the Ancient Species Silver Trace Butterfly’s bloodline, and your father had his own fortunate encounter.”

Chu Hao was happy for his parents.

Chu Qingcheng sighed and said, ”Later, we discovered that obtaining this fortune required a price; we had to fulfill the intentions they left behind, or we would never be able to leave the Great Netherworld, and our family wouldn’t be reunited.”

Chu Hao was momentarily stunned and said, ”What intentions?”

Chu Qingcheng looked at her child, gratefully saying, ”You’ve grown taller, even taller than me.”

Chu Hao scratched his head, smiling foolishly like a simpleton.

”These intentions are to revive the lineage of ancient species. Some Ancient Species, after death, will unconsciously head toward the Netherworld Continent. We’re here to intercept them and bring their Dead Souls back.”

Chu Hao was taken aback and said, ”Then how long do you and dad have to stay here?”

Chu Qingcheng smiled, stroked Chu Hao’s cheek, and said, ”Don’t worry, our family will definitely reunite. Your dad and I are trying hard.”

Chu Hao, being very intelligent, sensed something was off and said, ”Tell me the truth.”

Chu Qingcheng hesitated for a moment but eventually said, ”A hundred Ancient Species; but over these years, we’ve only intercepted one. The rarity of Ancient Species is unimaginable.”

Chu Hao was instantly furious. This was plotting to keep his parents serving in the Great Netherworld for a lifetime.

Up to now, his parents had not escaped such a trapped fate.

Chu Hao was full of fire.

Chu Hao said, ”I want to help you, let me help you.”

Chu Qingcheng looked at him, nodded slightly, and said, ”To help us, you need to have very high strength, at least above a Sage.”

Chu Hao suddenly had an urgent desire to enhance his strength.

”I must surpass being a Sage and take you away from this cursed place.”

Chu Qingcheng said with heartache, ”Your father and I, we only hope you live well.”

Chu Hao shook his head and said, ”Without you, I don’t live well; this isn’t the life I want.”
