Ghost Catching System

The mentors stepped forward, some worried, some indifferent, and some anxious.

This is about the mentor’s reputation evaluation. If they continue to be at the bottom, the mentor will have to pack up and leave.

Teacher Guan is the most anxious one. Last month, he was at the bottom. If he continues like this, he really has to leave.

A mentor leaving implies incompetence, and losing face outside, which is not uncommon in the Sacred Land.

Teacher Guan said, ”What’s the situation now?”

The person took a deep breath, and with a bitter face, said, ”You should go and take a look at the Tianshu Palace gate. I don’t know how to describe it.”

A crowd of mentors was puzzled.

They took the shortcut and arrived at the gates of Tianshu Palace, but what did they see?

A group of white-robed students, a group of yellow-robed students, a group of red-robed students.

Teacher Guan was dumbfounded and said, ”Are these my students?”

”Damn! My students also passed? How did these little ones manage it?” A yellow-clothed master said in shock.

A red-robed teacher said excitedly, ”My students passed the trial?”

Seeing their own students here, many mentors were excited, yet quickly became confused.

Red-robed students were understandable, but yellow-robed students also passed, and so did white-robed students. What kind of situation is this?

Inside Beidou Hall, Chu Hao killed the Asura Evil Ghost, the ghost at the final stage, and smiled in his heart, thinking, ”All settled, now can I become a student?”

He walked all the way forward, finally out of the fog, but the scene next left him bewildered.

Chu Hao muttered, ”Why are there so many people here?”

Chu Hao stepped forward and asked, ”Hello, I’m a student worker, now that I’ve passed, can I become a student?”

The mentor impatiently said, ”Don’t bother me.”

Chu Hao was puzzled, whom should he ask?

That’s when he saw an elder surrounded by mentors in the center, chatting noisily about the trial.

It seems that he is the person in charge.

Chu Hao couldn’t squeeze in, so he shouted, ”I passed, can I become a student now?”

The elder and the mentors simultaneously looked at Chu Hao, their expressions as strange as they could be.

The elder said angrily, ”Don’t bother me.”

This was the damned phrase again.

Chu Hao’s expression turned cold, do student workers have no human rights in the Sacred Land?

If so, what’s the point of being polite?

Then, a man tugged at Chu Hao and said, ”Buddy, queue up, it’s not your turn.”

Chu Hao looked at the man, who wasn’t wearing student attire, just like him, in casual clothes.

The man asked, ”Are you a student worker too?”

Chu Hao nodded.

The man pointed to the back, seven or eight casually dressed people, and said, ”We’re all student workers, we’ve all passed, so you have to queue up, right?”

Chu Hao: ”...”

What the hell is this situation?

It’s too chaotic, whether it’s mentors or students, they’re all chattering, mentors trying to earn credit for their students.

The elder became overwhelmed and loudly said, ”Quiet.”

Everyone went silent, looking at the elder, full of anticipation.

The elder said, ”Beidou Hall malfunctioned, this trial doesn’t count.”

The students looked disappointed.

The mentors protested, saying, ”But this is the rule, all our students passed, why no rewards?”

”Exactly? Among my students, there are those capable of joining the blue-robed student’s trial; it’s an important opportunity for them, Elder Rong, you can’t do this.”

”I disagree, my students are also very talented, why doesn’t the trial count?”

The mentors were up in arms.

Elder Rong, the elder who oversees the Beidou Hall trial, said with a headache, ”Everyone quiet down, this matter ends here, continue the trial in a month, before that, Beidou Hall needs to be reorganized.”

”Ah!”

Both students and mentors were complaining.

Chu Hao and seven or eight other student workers couldn’t say a word, pushed outside.

Originally, some student workers who were hoping to become students were now utterly disappointed.

”Sigh… What a waste of excitement.”

Chu Hao was utterly speechless; now he realized what was happening; he passed all the trials killing countless ghosts, but what happened?

These students also passed together.

Getting a free ride.

Chu Hao was about to say something about the trial’s problem when Elder Rong fled, terrified of these mentors.

A student worker sighed, ”The person in charge is gone, so is our hope.”

”Damn it, this is a problem of the Sacred Land, what does it have to do with us.”

”No choice, too many people passed, even the mentors are confused.”

Both students and mentors were extremely disappointed.

Chu Hao felt that it was useless to say anything now, the person in charge was gone.

Everyone left, and asking anyone was futile for Chu Hao. He saw Tianshu Palace and asked a student worker, ”How can one challenge Tianshu Palace?”

The student worker glanced at Chu Hao and said, ”Don’t joke around, only blue-robed students can challenge it.”

Chu Hao said, ”This trial has problems; I killed so many ghosts and brought so many people to pass through, it doesn’t make sense.”

The student worker was stunned, then laughed, ”Buddy, you sure can joke, a moment ago a red-robed student said he killed all the ghosts, yet it was useless all the same.”

Chu Hao: ”...”

The problem is, I really did kill them.

The student worker complained, ”Can only come next month, went through so much to amass student worker credits to buy Ghost Concealing Talisman, now can only be used next month.”

Chu Hao asked, ”Besides here, how can student workers become students?”

The student worker shook his head, ”No other way, unless your student worker credits reach ten, then you can take a mentor’s trial.”

Chu Hao said, ”I’m new here, how do I check my student worker credits?”

The student worker smiled bitterly, ”This is the problem with being a student worker, no one guides you, you have to make your own way; take your recommendation letter to the Student Public Society to check in, you can receive your student worker card.”

”Thanks,” Chu Hao said.

”All of us student workers are struggling, helping in any small way possible, Jiuhua Holy Land is difficult to survive, superficially glamorous, but secretly struggling; no matter your status, without talent it’s useless all the same.”

Chu Hao heard, ”I do think it’s quite fair.”

Indeed fair, strength is primary, no room for trickery.

The student worker smiled bitterly and left.

Chu Hao also left, went to the Student Public Society, received his student worker card.

By the time he walked out from the Student Public Society, it was already dark, after a busy day, ended with nothing achieved.

At least, he had a student worker card with one student worker credit; if this credit is lost, he might have to roll out of Jiuhua Holy Land.
