Let’s Squander A Billion First!

Chapter 2109: Chapter 2109: Chen Chuan Side Story (Conclusion)

Ever since Chuzheng integrated the Vor Star System, it has drawn considerable attention from other systems. It’s not that no one tried to make a move, but the outcomes were usually unfavorable.

Gradually, the reputation of the Vor Star System spread, and fewer systems dared to initiate wars.

The Imperial Capital Star knew Chuzheng was the head of Vor Star System, and it was infuriating, but apart from being angry, there was nothing they could do.

She’s now the master of an entire system, equating herself with several Marshals.

Chen Chuan was doing the work of a Marshal in the Vor Star System while handling the duties of an Executor, but the problem was, he was just a Deputy Executor.

He often had to clean up some messes for his young lady.

Chen Chuan felt it was very challenging.

Even in such an environment, many envied him; he wondered what they were even envying.

Watching his young lady and Young Master Wei throwing dog food every day made him feel like the world was too harsh.

”Deputy Executor Chen.” Someone rushed in.

”What’s the matter?”

”Take a look at this.”

-

Chen Chuan furrowed his brows as he knocked on Chuzheng’s door. Chuzheng opened the door and came out: ”What’s up?”

After all these years, the girl still looked the same, as if time hadn’t left any traces on her.

Chen Chuan slightly lowered his eyes, respectfully saying, ”This is new from the Imperial Capital Star; that race has appeared again.”

This time, unlike last time, they showed themselves.

They are currently negotiating with the people on the Imperial Capital Star.

The target is still Wei Shi.

Chuzheng calmly reviewed all the video materials, saying nothing, but the next day Chen Chuan received a message ordering him to personally make a trip—to capture that representative.

Chen Chuan: ”...”

Is this for real?

Grabbing their representative, isn’t that akin to declaring war?

However, considering the development of the Vor Star System over the years, Chen Chuan didn’t feel very afraid. As long as he was a little careful and didn’t get caught, wouldn’t that be fine?

Chen Chuan instructed Du Bang to keep an eye on things during his absence.

Du Bang has evolved from a street boss to a bigwig who can handle things independently.

”How long are you going to be away?” Despite becoming more capable, Du Bang was still somewhat anxious, as Chen Chuan was responsible for overseeing the entire star system, a task he couldn’t manage!

”Not sure, let’s see how it goes.” Chen Chuan couldn’t actually be certain.

If the target is hard to capture, it’ll definitely take more time.

”Why are you going?” Du Bang puzzled, ”Isn’t the young lady not returning to the Imperial Capital Star?”

”...”

The young lady may not be going back, but she didn’t say they wouldn’t go!

-

Chen Chuan had captured many people and was proficient in his skills.

After returning to the Imperial Capital Star, he quickly figured out the residence of the representative.

On the surface, the Imperial Capital Star’s industries had been thoroughly cleaned up after his young lady left.

However, although those were gone, there were still plenty in the shadows.

Chen Chuan found it relatively easy to gather information.

Once he understood the representative’s residence, the next challenge was how to abduct someone quietly.

Chen Chuan saw it as an undertaking.

The representative’s residence was guarded, under covert surveillance by Alliance members.

”Deputy Executor, today the representative will leave the lodging.”

After waiting several days, Chen Chuan finally received news, getting suddenly invigorated: ”Are you sure?”

”Absolutely.”

”Let’s go.”

Chen Chuan eagerly led his people outside, intending to intercept the representative en route.

Some covert operatives from the Imperial Capital Star accompanying him were a bit intimidated by his methods.

This was too audacious.

An abduction in broad daylight!

Yet the people of Vor Star System found it utterly normal.

For Deputy Executor Chen, this was nothing; the real reckless acts were those done by the Executor.

-

The delegation originally planned to head to the First Legion Base but was suddenly attacked halfway.

In the chaos of the delegation, they left with someone wearing a First Legion uniform, realizing it was off-route only when too late.

”Who are you?” The representative spoke their language, but not very well.

Chen Chuan pointed out his uniform.

”This is not the road to the First Legion Base.” The representative rebuked, ”Who exactly are you?”

Chen Chuan chuckled: ”That side’s dangerous, we’re taking you through another route. No worries.”

Attitude quite friendly.

If only the weapon aimed at the representative by people around him weren’t there.

Representative: ”...”

The representative was livid, his face flushed.

He almost looked the same as humans, except his physique was considerably larger.

Chen Chuan had thought the representative would be formidable, yet discovered he was rather weak.

”Deputy Executor Chen, shall we leave now?”

”Let’s go.” Before they react, the Imperial Capital Star would definitely proceed to block it; leaving now was easier.

The representative was placed into a hibernation capsule and soon launched onto the spaceship, leaving before the Imperial Capital Star’s complete lockdown.

By the time they enacted the blockade, they had already left.

-

Chen Chuan confirmed no followers before seeking some ’conversation’ with the representative, who stubbornly refused to disclose their purpose.

After consulting Chuzheng, Chen Chuan later became less civil.

The guards outside constantly heard the representative’s ghostly cries.

Ultimately, the representative confessed.

Indeed, they couldn’t directly reach this side; in the representative’s words, they were more like a parallel universe, with humans in that universe.

However...

Their universe was nearing disaster.

Not their race, but the entire universe, with survival spaces constantly being compressed.

Then they abruptly discovered the secrets of parallel universes, aiming to occupy here as their new home.

However, the ’key’ to open the parallel universe space... was taken away.

The person who took it was Wei Shi’s mother.

Her original task was to bring the ’key’ here, then open it along with the key from over there.

But...

Following her arrival, she lost contact.

According to Wei Canghai, Wei Shi’s mother didn’t want to support her own clan over here, as she fell for his father.

Such is the power of love.

Listening to Chen Chuan’s report, Chuzheng felt it was too cliché, had no comments, merely asking: ”How did he get here?”

”He said they crafted a transporter needing considerable energy, each time only conveying a few, with intervals of years in between. Their kind requires consuming their lives in transmission, essentially coming here with a death’s resolve. Only a key can open the channel in mass.”

The representative was not the first arrival.

Others had come earlier, and located Wei Shi.

Initially, they intended to intimidate the local people to surrender Wei Shi, but who knew...

”...”

Chen Chuan: ”Miss, the key must be with Young Master Wei, so what’s your take?”

”Kill him.” Chuzheng said directly: ”Without the key, they wouldn’t come, so why fear? ”

As for future concerns, she thought she’d be gone by then, so it would be none of her business.

Chen Chuan always felt his young lady’s decisions were correct, swiftly executing Chuzheng’s orders.

Whatever she does is right!

”Deputy Executor Chen, where do we go now?”

Chen Chuan gazed into the depths of the galaxy: ”Back to the Vor Star System.”

The epilogue mainly addresses Wei Shi’s plot hole.
