Let’s Squander A Billion First!

Chapter 1090: Chapter 1090: Star Era Guide (40)

As soon as Professor Wei finished speaking, the noisy conference room instantly fell silent.

Some people may not know Wan Hechun, but the person in charge from the Empire Science Academy knows this master’s mechas are only better, never the best.

And RN6, anyone who knows how to operate mechas knows what it is.

But the Empire Science Academy never expected the Empire Academy to actually have RN6!

And just give it to a student to use like that, isn’t this a joke?

”How can the competition use RN6?!”

It took a while for the Empire Science Academy representative to voice his doubts.

”How is this different from using drugs?”

”Of course, there’s a difference. RN6 is publicly allowed in the Star Era.” Professor Wei smiled politely: ”It’s not a prohibited item.”

Empire Science Academy raged: ”What’s the difference between this and cheating?!”

”...” Professor Wei found it difficult to refute for a moment, as using RN6 was indeed leveraging external forces.

Chuzheng looked at the organizers and calmly asked: ”Are there any rules against using it?”

The organizers were named and snapped back from their shock over RN6: ”There... there is no explicit regulation.”

After the organizers reviewed the rules, they found no rule that could block RN6.

RN6’s classification in the Star Era is very special, not fitting into any category.

While formulating the rules, they never thought someone would use RN6 in the competition!

Chuzheng’s eyebrows were cold: ”Since there’s none, why can’t it be used?”

Empire Science Academy: ”This isn’t fair!!”

Chuzheng: ”What’s unfair about it? You have it too, you can use it, who’s stopping you?”

Empire Science Academy: ”...” Damn, it’s because they don’t have it!

Chuzheng continued: ”Since you don’t have it yourself, are you forbidding others to use it, what a big face you have?”

Empire Science Academy: ”...”

Chuzheng glanced at the people of Empire Science Academy: ”Any more problems?”

Empire Science Academy: ”...”

Xie Wanwan stood in the back, having just lost the match, her face was a bit pale, her gaze at Chuzheng like daggers.

Yet Chuzheng didn’t look at her not even once from start to finish, ensuring there were no issues before having Professor Wei take everyone away.

Empire Science Academy could only swallow their loss in silence, cursing the Empire Academy’s shamelessness.

-

”Winning like this feels a bit...” Not so honorable.

Some students felt uneasy coming out of the conference room.

Chuzheng passed by them: ”However you win, as long as it’s legal and reasonable, it’s a skill.”

”Even though Chuzheng said rightly, everyone shouldn’t rely too much on it.” Professor Wei chimed in: ”But if the Empire Academy can turn the tables this time, I believe you can also rely on yourselves in the future!”

The Empire Academy had lost for too long.

Deep down, it seemed everyone knew, that no matter what, they would lose. This pessimistic attitude directly affected the competition.

As Professor Wei envisioned, in the following senior-grade match, even without RN6, they went from failing to reach the top ten to making it to the top five.

The Empire Academy’s morale soared like never before.

In the later team matches, they even achieved a good result.

”Professor Wei, who are those people cheering for us outside?”

”Students from the school, probably.”

”That’s impossible, it’s class time now. How can there be so many people?”

”...”

Professor Wei pondered; indeed, that seemed true.

Where did those cheerers come from outside then?

No matter where they came from, as long as they’re beneficial to them!

-

Professor Wei walked with swagger these days, beaming with satisfaction.

Today, as Chuzheng arrived at the competition site, a student rushed in: ”Professor Wei, Professor Wei...”

”He’s not here.” Chuzheng said: ”What’s up?”

”Something’s wrong!” The student’s face was full of anxiety.

In the earlier team match, a student from their school suddenly collapsed on the stage, and the diagnosis showed spiritual power overuse.

Other than that, there was no other problem.

”This happened yesterday too.” A student from beside noted: ”But it wasn’t from our school.”

In both cases, spiritual power was overused, and that person hasn’t recovered yet.

Chuzheng looked into the matches of these two individuals and, coincidentally, Xie Wanwan was involved both times.

Xie Wanwan’s match was scheduled for the afternoon, and Chuzheng went to watch her match on time.

This was a trio team match, the pitch was large, but through screens, one could fully view the arena.

Initially, there was nothing special, but over time, Chuzheng noticed Xie Wanwan’s opponent suddenly made a major mistake and then got walloped, eventually falling down.

Once again, one person showed signs of spiritual power overuse. After evaluation, apart from excessive spiritual power usage, no other ailment was found.

Three people now.

Coincidence?

What nonsense coincidence.

Xie Wanwan must have done something.

But what did Xie Wanwan do?

Chuzheng couldn’t figure it out and planned to go bind Xie Wanwan.

”What are you thinking about? Sitting here for half a day.” Jing Lan came over holding a bottle of liquor.

”I’m thinking of how to bind...” Chuzheng stopped herself in time: ”All those who competed with Xie Wanwan show signs of spiritual power overuse.”

Jing Lan paused in his act of drinking: ”Spiritual power overuse?”

”Yes, they haven’t recovered yet. But nothing else can be detected, it’s just labeled as spiritual power overuse; they remain unconscious without waking.”

He asked Chuzheng for specific data; after looking through it, his expression grew somewhat grim.

”Bang——”

”Ah!”

Suddenly, several loud noises were heard outside, followed by screams from the crowd.

Jing Lan grabbed Chuzheng and dashed outside.

Once they left the building, they saw a mecha attacking the crowd.

Chuzheng: ”...”

Has Xie Wanwan gone mad?

Several mechas came out to stop Xie Wanwan, but soon those mechas toppled over one after another, as if suddenly drained of energy.

”Ah!”

Nearby buildings were destroyed by mecha cannon fire.

The mecha was searching for something among the crowd, catching people and slamming them down moments later.

Chuzheng saw that those thrown down showed obvious signs of losing mobility, limp like a rag.

Chuzheng faintly sensed discomfort in the surrounding air.

It seemed there was a force drawing her towards that direction.

Spiritual power?

The mecha appeared to spot her amid the crowd and rushed towards her.

Holy crap!

Charging at her so blatantly!!

Chuzheng pulled Jing Lan to her side, guiding him towards the nearby building.

The speed of a mecha was swift, it caught up with her in an instant.

Chuzheng raised her hand, silver thread shot from her wrist, entangled the mecha’s leg, she pulled the thread tight, causing the mecha to stumble, crashing to the ground.

Bang——

A tremor was felt underfoot.

Around them, mechas descended, probably seeing Xie Wanwan’s mecha fall and wanted to subdue her.

”Don’t go over!”

Jing Lan yelled sternly.

But as soon as his voice fell, those few mechas started going down to the ground.
