Let’s Squander A Billion First!

Chapter 970: Chapter 970: A Day as a Teacher (39)

The night before the college entrance exams.

The living room was dimly lit, and the girl was lying on the couch, her long legs casually dangling over the edge.

The girl suddenly moved and looked towards the foot of the couch.

The boy was crawling over from the other end, and seeing that she was awake, he stopped being cautious and directly pounced over, squeezing onto the couch.

”Teacher.”

”Why aren’t you sleeping in the middle of the night?”

”I can’t sleep.” The boy’s voice was soft, like the wind at night, brushing over the heart lake, stirring minute ripples.

What does your insomnia have to do with me!!

I can sleep just fine!

I even gave you the bed, and now you still want to squeeze onto this broken couch with me, is that appropriate?!

Chuzheng moved a little to the side, pulled him into her arms, and held him: ”Don’t move, watch me sleep.”

Qiao Lian: ”???

”Teacher.”

Chuzheng ignored him.

”Teacher... Teacher?”

Qiao Lian shook her arm.

”...” Chuzheng held back: ”What do you want?”

”Teacher, I’m nervous. The exam is tomorrow, I’m afraid I won’t do well.”

Chuzheng stroked his head, the soft hair calming her mood a little, indifferently saying: ”If you don’t do well, you don’t do well, it’s not a big deal.”

Qiao Lian: ”Teacher, no teacher talks like that.” What teacher would say such a thing.

Chuzheng: ”I never wanted to be a teacher.”

Qiao Lian: ”...”

Qiao Lian suddenly propped himself up, and Chuzheng thought he was going back, planning to let him, but the boy turned over and pressed on top of her, directly kissing down.

The boy on top of her was burning hot, with a fierce desire.

”Qiao Lian, your exam is tomorrow...” Chuzheng reminded him: ”Don’t mess around.”

Qiao Lian said somewhat resentfully: ”Teacher, I want to...”

”You’re not an adult yet.”

”I’m a boy.”

”So what if you’re a boy? Does the law say boys mature early?”

”...”

Chuzheng pulled him down: ”Stop messing around, go back to sleep.”

”I want to sleep with Teacher.” Qiao Lian said sullenly.

Chuzheng looked at the boy holding onto her like an octopus, the scorching temperature like a fire roasting her, how was she supposed to sleep?

”You’re not uncomfortable?”

”Not uncomfortable.”

”Alright then.” If you’re not afraid, why should I be? Being a girl doesn’t mean I should be timid!

Qiao Lian also thought he wouldn’t be able to sleep, but after his body calmed down, he quickly fell asleep.

-

”Teacher, I can’t find the exam venue.”

Chuzheng received the call while she was in a meeting.

Because the exam wasn’t at their school, although Qiao Lian had visited the exam site, his level ten road idiot skills made it impossible for him to recognize the way.

Besides, he hadn’t found any classmates with the same exam venue nearby, so he couldn’t even secretly follow them, and had no choice but to call Chuzheng for help.

”Find a classmate to take you.” Chuzheng said.

”Teacher, I...”

The boy hesitated.

Chuzheng was silent for a few seconds: ”Where are you, wait for me.”

Qiao Lian immediately reported his location.

Chuzheng glanced at the people still in the meeting and quietly snuck out from the back.

Chuzheng rushed to Qiao Lian’s location.

The boy stood there, white top, black pants, looking so striking that many students turned to glance at him.

Not far away was the school gate, where parents stood, sending their children into school.

Qiao Lian looked over there, feeling inexplicably lonely.

When Chuzheng arrived, Qiao Lian immediately withdrew his gaze: ”Teacher.”

”Do you have everything you need?” Chuzheng asked him.

Qiao Lian nodded: ”Yes.”

”I’ll take you there.”

Qiao Lian nodded, not daring to stand too close to Chuzheng.

On the way, they ran into some classmates, who instinctively gravitated towards Chuzheng, and she escorted them all to the exam venue, finally sending Qiao Lian there openly.

”Teacher...” Qiao Lian looked around: ”I’ll do my best on the exam.”

”Mm, it doesn’t matter if you don’t do well.”

”...”

The teacher should be encouraging me!

-

After the college entrance exams, it was just a matter of waiting for the results.

Qiao Lian didn’t know how well he did, but Chuzheng went through the papers herself and let him check.

But Qiao Lian didn’t look at a single question.

He even pitifully looked at her: ”I’m too scared to check.”

Chuzheng: ”...”

He dares to do anything, but why is he afraid of checking scores!

When the scores were released, Chuzheng forced him to sit in front of the computer before he grudgingly checked his score.

The score wasn’t high, but it wasn’t low either.

Qiao Lian breathed a sigh of relief, feeling he didn’t disgrace the teacher.

When it was time to fill out college applications, Qiao Lian didn’t even ask Chuzheng and directly applied to a local university.

”Qiao Lian, do you have time? Let’s hang out.” Lu Zhou invited Qiao Lian out over the phone.

Qiao Lian looked at Chuzheng: ”Where?”

”Forget it, I’ll come pick you up.”

Following the address Qiao Lian gave, Lu Zhou arrived quickly.

Qiao Lian informed Chuzheng and left with Lu Zhou.

Lu Zhou didn’t invite anyone else, it was just the two of them, sitting by the river like last time.

But Lu Zhou brought some alcohol.

Qiao Lian didn’t take it: ”The teacher doesn’t allow me to drink.”

”...” Lu Zhou’s mouth twitched: ”She controls that much?”

”The teacher cares for my well-being.”

”...” Lu Zhou raised his hand to ruffle Qiao Lian’s hair: ”Kid, have you been brainwashed?”

Qiao Lian brushed off his hand.

Lu Zhou started drinking the alcohol himself.

”Are you really going to be with her?” He just couldn’t understand, Qiao Lian was such a handsome guy, why he would choose that kind of girl.

Of course, Lu Zhou wasn’t implying Chuzheng was bad, just that... he couldn’t quite understand.

”Yes.” Qiao Lian nodded.

”What will you do in the future?”

”Study hard, earn money.”

”She seems quite wealthy.” Lu Zhou had also looked into Chuzheng; although she was just a teacher, her expenses clearly couldn’t be covered by a teacher’s salary.

”...” Qiao Lian was silent for a while: ”That’s why I want to work hard and earn money.”

Although he didn’t have money now, he believed he would in the future.

He didn’t mind spending the teacher’s money since he would earn it back for her eventually.

”So do you know who she really is?” Where does her money come from? If she’s so rich, why be a teacher at a school?

”I like her for who she is, I don’t care about anything else.”

Lu Zhou almost choked on his drink.

”Kiddo, you know what you sound like now?”

Qiao Lian looked at himself: ”What do I sound like?”

Lu Zhou: ”An idiot in love.”

Qiao Lian: ”...”

Lu Zhou hooked his arm around Qiao Lian’s neck: ”Have you ever thought about how much more mature she is than you? What if she can’t handle your immaturity? Maybe she’s just having fun with you. Look at relationships, how many older woman-younger man couples last?”

Lu Zhou didn’t think Chuzheng was unworthy of Qiao Lian; he just thought the age difference was a big issue.

”...”

”Buddy, I’m not trying to bring you down; I just don’t trust her much and don’t want you to get hurt later.”

”... She won’t.” Qiao Lian replied softly.

The teacher wouldn’t do that.

”Anyway, nothing I say now will help.” Lu Zhou shrugged: ”I’m leaving.”

Qiao Lian looked at him.

Lu Zhou smiled: ”I’m going abroad; my old man arranged it, and when I come back, I’ll take over the company.”

Qiao Lian was silent for a moment, then opened a bottle of alcohol: ”Safe travels, see you when you get back.”

Lu Zhou clinked glasses with him: ”When I’m back, you’ll have to call me Director Lu. Don’t worry, bro, I’ve got your back always.”
