Let’s Squander A Billion First!

Chapter 682: Chapter 682: Encountering Splendid Auspiciousness (16)

Wan Xiaoxiao somewhat timidly approached the front desk, weakly asking if there was an especially large private room available.

The receptionist, taken aback by so many people, took a while before turning around, cautiously replying, ”Yes, we do. Do you need one?” Are these people with some social influence coming to hang out with their subordinates?

But these people don’t look like they are from the underworld.

”Uh...” Wan Xiaoxiao nodded her head.

No one told her that being an assistant was this difficult; she felt like crying.

After Wan Xiaoxiao made the arrangements, a staff member led them to the room.

As they walked by, the people in the clubhouse all turned to look.

If one could see the thoughts running through their heads, they would likely be—hell, are these underworld guys here for revenge?

As they continued, each person they encountered sparked another such thought.

The Splendid Clubhouse’s largest venue, reportedly accommodating five hundred guests, was where Chuzheng brought just over two hundred people today. Having heard about this space, Chuzheng immediately had it swapped for their use.

”Uh... miss, this room is sufficient for your number of guests...”

”I want the largest one available, is that a problem?”

”...”

Customers’ requests had to be fulfilled.

They moved to the largest venue.

Indeed, it seemed to hold five hundred people, serving as a miniature independent clubhouse with every amenity imaginable.

But Chuzheng suspected the figure of five hundred must be if they loaded them in like sardines. In reality, the room wasn’t that big.

Deceiving consumers!

Chuzheng waited until everyone entered, then walked directly onto the stage, immediately silencing the crowd below.

Wan Xiaoxiao handed her a microphone from the side.

”Today...”

The microphone was silent.

Chuzheng: ”...”

This was awkward!

Wan Xiaoxiao, mortified, quickly got another one, tested it to ensure it worked, and then passed it over.

Chuzheng calmly took the microphone: ”Today, the individual who accumulates the highest expenditure will receive a seven-day luxury overseas travel package for two, along with an additional reward of twenty thousand yuan.”

”...”

No one responded to Chuzheng’s announcement for a good ten seconds.

Chuzheng added quickly, ”The expenses are on me.”

I’m a genius!

I don’t need to give money to others; I just need to settle the bill myself!!

”[...]I really messed up!”

”Boss... did our company just hit the jackpot?” one employee broke the eerie silence.

”You’ve hit me,” Chuzheng said. ”Go for it!”

Chuzheng hopped off the stage and tossed the microphone to Wan Xiaoxiao.

The collective staff: ”...”

The person with the highest personal expenditure would not only be rewarded with a trip but also with cash.

And most importantly, the expenses were paid for by the boss!

Were they dreaming?

”Ow! Why did you pinch me?”

”I’m checking if this is a dream.”

”Go to hell, why don’t you pinch yourself.”

”Xiaoxiao, Xiaoxiao, is what the boss said true?”

”The boss isn’t playing a joke on us, right?”

”I heard before that the boss enticed and then duped an employee... she wouldn’t plan to do the same to us, would she?”

”I’m a bit afraid to...”

”Xiaoxiao, tell us the truth, is the boss playing a trick on us?”

The small and helpless Wan Xiaoxiao was surrounded by people as she held the microphone, pitifully saying, ”No, not... not at all. It’s... it’s real... you all... do your best.”

Wan Xiaoxiao hurriedly slipped away to find the clubhouse staff and had them record everything.

Clubhouse employee: ”???”

What are all you society folk pulling here?

A leader board for consumption?

Of course, this was a moneymaker for the clubhouse, and although the staff internally raced with tens of thousands of ”What the hell” thoughts, they still managed to smile and arrange for someone to come over.

At first, everyone was a bit confused, and no one knew who had started it, but it didn’t take long for everyone to begin striving to make it onto the leader board.

There were many high-cost services at the Splendid Clubhouse; Chuzheng’s rule was for the entire clubhouse, which meant they could go wherever they wanted to play within the Splendid Clubhouse.

Of course, they were still too timid to touch the super high-end stuff.

Then Wan Xiaoxiao came over with a frustrated face, urging them that anything except gambling was fair game, and they should make an effort to spend money. Each had to spend at least twenty thousand, or they weren’t allowed to leave.

Clubhouse employee: ”...”

An individual minimum consumption of twenty thousand, with these two hundred plus people, that’s over four million.

Which company’s boss is this?

Are they still hiring?

-

Yang Jiajun was a regular at the Splendid Clubhouse, a notorious wasteful second-generation rich kid within his social circle.

Today was Yang Jiajun’s birthday, and he had come to the Splendid Clubhouse to celebrate with a group of fair-weather friends.

As a pampered scion, Yang Jiajun’s display of wealth naturally had to be the most extravagant.

”Give me the biggest room.”

A room that could accommodate five hundred people didn’t mean he actually wanted to cram five hundred people in there.

What he wanted was that scale and ambiance.

”Young Master Yang, I’m really sorry, but we’re fully booked today,” the employee, knowing the profligate patron, carefully apologized with a smile.

Yang Jiajun immediately showed displeasure: ”What do you mean? Are you saying there’s no room available for me when I come?”

The employee also wore an embarrassed expression: ”There was one room left, but a guest has just booked it, and you didn’t call ahead... We didn’t know...”

So, it wasn’t their fault.

Yang · Wasteful · Jiajun: ”Then make him give it up!”

Employee: ”...”

Yang Jiajun had complex connections, and the Splendid Clubhouse wasn’t willing to offend him.

So they sent someone to negotiate with Chuzheng, to see if they could get him to give up the room.

After all, most of the people from his room had gone elsewhere to play, and there weren’t many left inside.

They could switch to another luxurious private room and receive some complimentary benefits.

When Chuzheng heard about this, he was not pleased: ”No switch.”

Who isn’t a wastrel here?

Unwilling to change rooms, Chuzheng caused Yang Jiajun to lose face, and his demeanor turned gloomy.

Yang Jiajun looked towards the young man standing in the back and called out, ”Xiao Ze.”

Xiao Ze stepped forward: ”Young Master Yang.”

Xiao Ze wasn’t fond of Yang Jiajun, but Yang Jiajun was the company’s Crown Prince, plus the man wasn’t too bright, making him an excellent pawn for climbing the ladder.

The challenge Chuzheng had posed him recently had been too much.

He didn’t know how Chuzheng had managed to get his position.

But regardless, he had to keep climbing higher.

”Bro, I have a mission for you today,” Yang Jiajun clapped Xiao Ze on the shoulder: ”You’ve just heard it, these folks don’t understand the rules. Go teach them the consequences of provoking me, Yang Jiajun.”

”Young Master Yang, this...”

”Xiao Ze, you’re with me now, right?”

Xiao Ze nodded.

”This is an opportunity for you,” Yang Jiajun straightened Xiao Ze’s collar: ”Don’t disappoint me. If I’m not happy, and say something to my dad...”

Xiao Ze clenched his fist: ”Young Master Yang, I’m on it.”

Xiao Ze followed the employee to the private room, pushed the door open, and entered. The music in the private room wasn’t too loud; it was of the more relaxing kind. The spacious area was sparsely populated, with small groups scattered around drinking and playing cards.

”The person in charge is over there,” the employee pointed Xiao Ze in the right direction.

Following the direction, Xiao Ze looked over to the sofa where several people sat.
