Apocalypse Descends: I Win Effortlessly by Turning Trash into Treasure

Seeing the prey was already claimed, the two of them prepared to leave.

However, just as they were about to leave, the crocodile—which was getting beaten to a pulp—had other plans.

The crocodile, which had been on the verge of death, suddenly had its belly begin to swell rapidly.

With a loud BANG!

The entire crocodile, especially its belly, was blown to bits. Blood and gore flew everywhere. The scene was incredibly bloody.

However, that wasn’t the main point. The main point was that after the crocodile exploded, a ”person”—or more accurately, a monster—appeared in its place.

It had human faces, but several heads, and the expression on each one was utterly savage.

Not only that, but the monster also had eight long, slender arms, each tipped with sharp claws. Its legs, however, were short and bent, and it had a large belly. Its skin was a grayish-green, making it look both terrifying and bizarre.

As Amber Sheridan described the monster’s appearance, an indescribable look crossed his face. It was the first time he had ever seen something so nauseating.

But that wasn’t the main point either. After a moment of stunned silence, the monster was the first to attack, lunging at the three Lolita sisters.

”In just an instant, the one in the red dress was impaled, her heart ripped right out of her chest.”

”If the two of us hadn’t reacted fast enough, you probably wouldn’t be seeing us right now,” Amber Sheridan said. ”It’s the first time I’ve ever seen this type of Hunter so late in the game. It looked like the product of several Hunters fused together.”

”So, did you take care of it in the end?”

This was Perry Yates’s biggest concern.

If they had, that was good. If not, then they would have one more enemy to face.

And this enemy wasn’t like the Plesiosaur, which only came out at sunset and disappeared at sunrise.

”Of course we took care of it. Master Ford had to use a five-star item to finally deal with that Hunter.”

Hearing that Evan Fuller actually had a five-star item, Perry Yates looked at him in shock.

’This guy has a five-star item, and I didn’t even... alright, I never actually looked closely at his item cards.’

However, even knowing about it now, Perry Yates had no intention of replicating it.

「Day 24 of the game.」

Perry Yates looked at the Venom Python corpse in her hands and couldn’t help but sigh in relief. ’Just one more day. It’ll all be over tomorrow.’

With this thought in mind, Perry Yates took a deep breath and silently quickened her pace, wanting to finish her task as soon as possible.

For the past few days, Amber Sheridan would come back and complain about how tired he was, saying he envied Perry Yates for not having to do anything. He was always met with an eye-roll from her.

’What’s the difference between that and the kind of father who does nothing at home?’ Perry Yates hated people like that the most.

’As if I enjoy being stuck here.’

Fortunately, Amber Sheridan was just teasing and didn’t genuinely believe it.

Still, Perry Yates forced Amber Sheridan to experience her life for a day. After all, the wearable armor was just an item, not a Skill.

After just one night of it, Amber Sheridan was a complete mess.

After giving Perry Yates a sincere apology, he hastily followed Evan Fuller out.

「Day 25 of the game.」

It wasn’t until the afternoon that Perry Yates finally pulled her hands away from the Venomous Python.

Looking at her masterpiece on the ground, she couldn’t help but reveal a satisfied smile.

Over the past few days, as edible prey became scarcer, the Plesiosaur had grown more irritable. Just last night, it had destroyed nearly half the trees on the island.

”When are we making our move?”

Perry Yates put away the Venomous Python’s corpse and looked to Evan Fuller to ask.

”Tomorrow.”

Evan Fuller retracted his gaze, the intensity in his eyes gradually calming as he spoke lightly.

”Tomorrow? Why not today?” Amber Sheridan was confused.

’We’ve waited this long, why postpone it for another day?’

”Today is not the opportune moment.”

Evan Fuller took out a very old-looking calendar from his pocket. Perry Yates couldn’t make out what was written on it.

But the moment Evan Fuller took out the calendar, Amber Sheridan instantly fell silent.

’So, what in the world is that?’

Driven by curiosity, Perry Yates immediately used her Replication Card, found the item among Evan Fuller’s stack of cards, and copied it.

However, to avoid arousing suspicion, she didn’t take it out to examine it right away.

「Day 26 of the game.」

Since she no longer had to inject toxins into the Venomous Python, Perry Yates was finally free to move around today.

She stretched, a sentimental look on her face. ”The air of freedom. It’s been a long time since I’ve smelled it.”

”It’s only been a few days. You look like you’ve been locked up in prison for years.”

Perry Yates ignored Amber Sheridan’s sarcastic remark.

The old Perry Yates had been a homebody. It was normal for her not to leave the house for days, or even a week or two. But as they say, doing something voluntarily is completely different from being forced to.

It was like the difference between staying home to play video games and being in postpartum confinement. Both involve staying at home, but there’s a fundamental difference between the two.

The trio’s task for the day was simple: scour the entire island and find a safe, hidden place to hide.

According to Perry Yates’s deduction, the Plesiosaur’s body was so massive that even if it was critically injured, it wouldn’t die immediately. It would likely go through a long period of struggle.

During this period, the Plesiosaur would probably go berserk, attacking everything in a frenzy. All creatures and people on the island would be in extreme danger.

Between the sky and underground, the three of them chose to build on the ground.

In reality, both options were similarly unsafe, but Evan Fuller insisted on choosing the ground. His reason was:

”Today is auspicious for breaking ground.”

Perry Yates: ”...???”

The three of them dug several shelters in various spots on the island, reinforcing the surrounding soil and planting Space Grass inside to prevent loose rock and debris from shifting.

After a full day of work, night fell.

Hearing the familiar sound from the direction of the lake, Perry Yates knew the Plesiosaur had arrived.

She took the Venomous Python out of her Space Backpack, and then her figure instantly vanished from the spot.

Perry Yates didn’t choose the hiding spot where Evan Fuller and Amber Sheridan were. Instead, she picked a location closer to the lake. The darkest place is right under the lamp, after all.

After five continuous days of Ascension by Perry Yates, this Venomous Python was no longer the same creature it once was.

The moment she set it down, an alluring scent began to spread through the area. The Plesiosaur naturally caught the smell and even quickened its pace.

Through her Spiritual Body, Perry Yates saw the Plesiosaur quickly approach the Venomous Python, lower its head to hook the python’s body, and then swallow it in just a few gulps.
