Infinite Mana In The Apocalypse

Chapter 3699: Everything III

As Noah made his preparations, so did others.

In a unique mental frequency of existence utilized by the Dead.

Folds of collapse and dead True Sources scattered here and there, in such a unique space where only the signatures of certain Dead Things could enter…

”Veltraxis, why call us in here?”

The voice of the 63rd Mawbearer of Endless Paradox called out toward the horrific figure of Veltraxis, who wore a wide smile on his face.

Around them, the other Mawbearers that had also arrived stood watchful, as Veltraxis looked at them all before he began to speak in an eerie tone.

”I want you all to keep a lookout and focus on this being right here…”

As he spoke, he waved the weavings of the dead around them, displaying the image of none other than Noah.

”This is the Living who drew me here in the first place. He held a True Source of Existence that could empower others. I know, thatʼs nothing too crazy. Weʼve seen it once or twice before. And when we investigated those Wheels of Existence, only a single one had anything that related to the Loom. So I came to check this one out—and this Living creature, who I can affirm is at the level of a Harmonized Sourcebound Icon, had a battle against Mʼgorrhaal, and was able to collapse his weavings in one shot.”

…!

The words raised the brows of the terrifyingly powerful and Complex Mawbearers.

Meanwhile, the horrid smile of Veltraxis only grew wider and darker.

”A Harmonized Sourcebound Icon who not only holds a True Source that empowers others, but can also skip past the staunch demarcations of Purity and Complexity to erupt with a power that can erase the weavings of a Converged Architect. Given that we are weaker in these Infinite Ravines, Iʼll give him a break, but still…”

He seemed to be indicating something.

And as if the others already knew what he meant, the 81st Mawbearer, a creature made entirely of muscular tissue, spoke out in a rumble.

”You donʼt mean to say… he is one of the True Favored Living Things?”

…!

A True Favored Living Thing.

A creature born within the weavings of the Wheel, as inside their Existence, a mutation occurred and they gained a tremendous amount of weavings from the collective essence of the Breakings of the Wheel!

Such beings were akin to tonics to Dead Things as even a single one exceeded the value of thousands of Sorrowglass True Source Panaceas.

But they were always tricky.

And they were powerful.

Veltraxis only smiled deeper, shaking his head and raising his hands as if he could not be sure.

”Who knows? But any True Favored Living Thing from a Wheel indicates even more that the Wheel holds something special. Watch his weavings closely from here on out. If he can kill one Converged Architect in a single blow—even though I have begun bringing in the dreaded Nullvein Gravewake Folds—he may suddenly display power to kill multiple Converged Architects. All I ask for bringing you all here… is one fourth of him and this Wheel.”

…!

He was bargaining.

”Oh, and to ensure there is no chance of failure, Iʼll continue to call a few other Mawbearers—we know how tricky True Favored Living Things can be, where they can turn the tides even in impossible odds. Right now, their chances of withstanding us are less than 1%, and I want to bring that to 0 if I can. Even if itʼs overkill—but it will mean what you all can devour will be less. This, I apologize for.”

…!

The 63rd Mawbearer of Endless Paradox waved his hand at this.

”It is okay. If the Wheel also ends up having something relating to the Loom, it will be well worth it in the end. Alright—how do you all want to do it?”

How did they want to do it?

What exactly did he mean by such a thing?

Even though others might not know or understand, the Mawbearers of the Hollow Concord of Nullity knew very well.

Veltraxis smiled while looking at the others as he voiced out.

”I was thinking… the Symphony of the True Dead. The resonance of all our Dead True Sources permeating out will take out any Harmonized Sourcebound Icons, and only the Resplendent Monads and the True Favored Living Thing would be able to withstand it—though heavily bound. And of course, the one to lead it is just arriving… I greet thee.”

…!

Veltraxis bowed toward a newly arriving figure in this mental frequency.

It was… a humanoid entity in his early 30s, neither handsome nor ugly, but surrounded by musical instruments.

”I greet thee, O 9th Mawbearer of the Dissonant Echo, Melodrass. We are humbled that you answered our call to come, when we know you are attending to multiple things.”

…!

Veltraxis and all other Mawbearers bowed toward the newly arriving being.

The 9th!

A Single-Numbered Mawbearer!

Veltraxis and the others were already unfathomably complex—but this being… his weavings had already begun to surpass the level of a Converged Architect.

Better yet, he was also a Resplendent Monad as unlike many Dead Things, he had managed to bring his Purity to a high level!

A nigh impossible task for the Dead!

But his Complexity… was already nearing the level far past High, as he was simply looking for that spark.

”With you here, we may not even need to do anything.”

…!

Another Mawbearer smiled as he said this while rising up.

The 9th Mawbearer of the Dissonant Echo did not say anything—he only smiled while shaking his head.

He did not speak.

As if he could not speak!

Veltraxis shook his head, as if he understood everything from just that head shake, and he was the one to reply.

”We have to be methodical with any Wheel of Existence. Anything forced to death will fight like mad—to the extent that its last flare of death could eradicate any Resplendent Monad or Converged Architect. We donʼt want that to be any of us, right? The last time a Mawbearer truly died was a billion years ago—letʼs not change that too soon…”

His deep voice echoed out as the others agreed.

Just like this, the Dead Things convened and got ready to unleash decimation!

—

Noah looked out toward the eyes of the Dead that were seeking dread and despair—especially the cruel figure of Veltraxis, who seemed ready to move at any moment, and the ever-increasing numbers of Mawbearers coming through!

He looked at all of this and began to move with more and more certainty—as right away, he raised his hands and released flickers of white-gold flames that looked like small, glorious, spinning, flaming Omniverses.

They bloomed to cover multiple areas all around him while he voiced out to the Legends here.

”The white-gold flames around you will empower your True Source should you accept them. They will make you even purer and allow you to express grander complexity.”

He spoke in a calm tone and described everything slowly.

And yet—even after he spoke—one of the Legends turned to look at him and shook their head.

”What use will it be? Their Converged Architects grow more and more in number with every passing second. Unless, behind me, the weavings of the Wheel of Existence have so drastically changed that Resplendent Monads are going to rise out by the dozens soon—I ask you again, how the fuck does this change anything?!”

And the Legend was nearly shouting as he said this.

It was an entity with the True Source of Pride.

His body shone black and gold, and in this moment, its very construct seemed to be breaking as its core Source shook!

In the midst of his negativity—which could not really be dismissed, because it was true, the figure of the Holder of the True Source of Asche reached out to grasp the dazzling white-gold flame in front of him as his voice echoed out.

”So long as we are alive, there is always use in fighting.”
