Abandoned Woman Busy Farming

Chapter 1019: Chapter 1021 The Graceful Matters of the Lady Master_1

After Ming Wu left, Bai Ruozhu shared with Gu Xue’an her connection to the Bo Family, but since they were quite distant, she didn’t wish to get too close and possibly cause any misunderstandings.

Gu Xue’an obviously felt that Bai Ruozhu was not close with the Bo Family and was sure there must be some reasons, but seeing Bai Ruozhu didn’t elaborate, she stopped probing further.

The two of them took Dengdeng to the Back Mountain, and soon they saw a hill filled with crimson maple leaves.

”This season is the best time to view the red leaves. How about it, Ruozhu, do you like it?” Gu Xue’an asked excitedly but cautiously.

At this time of the year, the maple leaves were in their most fiery red season, and the maple forest at the Jingxin Temple’s Back Mountain covered several hillsides. Indeed, it had the essence of ”maple leaves even redder than the flowers of February,” and they had a more natural charm than the Fragrant Mountain Red Leaves Bai Ruozhu had seen in her previous life.

”Come on, let’s walk up a bit to take a closer look, and also collect some red leaves to air dry them for bookmarks,” Bai Ruozhu suddenly felt inspired and smiled at Gu Xue’an.

”Sure.”

Hence, the two set off up the mountain, finding and carefully picking up some particularly red fallen leaves.

Dengdeng was exceptionally happy as well. He came down to play on the level ground for a while and picked some red leaves for his mom. In the end, he also gave one to Gu Xue’an, which delighted her immensely. Bai Ruozhu silently chuckled; she clearly saw that Dengdeng found the leaf too small and not red enough, so he somewhat reluctantly gave it to Gu Xue’an.

The cheeky kid!

After playing for a while, the three of them felt a bit tired and returned the same way to eat some vegetarian dishes at the temple.

While they were eating, Dengdeng started making a fuss, and Bai Ruozhu immediately stood up, saying, ”He needs to go to the toilet, you keep eating, I’ll take him and be right back.”

Gu Xue’an covered her mouth, snickering. She had heard that children liked to poop when adults were eating, and it seemed to be true. Fortunately, Dengdeng was smart and knew to signal in advance, so he wouldn’t just go on the spot.

”I should come with you, maybe I can help,” Gu Xue’an suggested.

”No need, it’s very smelly,” Bai Ruozhu said, laughing as she wrinkled her nose.

She picked up Dengdeng and briskly walked towards the toilet, with Jianqi and the others secretly following them.

At the toilet, Dengdeng did indeed manage to squeeze out a ’banana’ successfully, and Bai Ruozhu wiped his little bottom before heading back. After a few steps, she realized she had to walk past the nuns’ rooms behind the toilet; she just wasn’t sure who lived in the rooms in front of her.

Suddenly, she heard moaning noises coming from the adjoining room. As someone who had been through childbirth herself, how could she not recognize what was happening?

She hastily made a shushing gesture to Dengdeng, who wore a smile on his brow and eyes but remained silent; his favorite game with his dad was competing in who could stay quiet the longest, the first to make noise would lose.

Jianqi appeared from behind, and using a technique to transmit his voice, he said to Bai Ruozhu, ”My lady, it’s not good to linger in such an unclean place.”

Bai Ruozhu nodded, lightened her steps, and proceeded forward, only to hear a woman in the throes of passion from inside the room say, ”Darling, don’t stop!”

She felt a sudden chill but also recognized the voice—it was Master Jingyuan, whom they had just met.

Indeed, appearances can be deceiving. On the surface, she looked so pure and detached from worldly desires, a monastic figure, yet behind the scenes, she was indulging in such loose behavior. It was way beyond Bai Ruozhu’s expectations.

By the time she returned and regrouped with Gu Xue’an, Bai Ruozhu had somewhat regained her composure, but the subsequent vegetarian meal tasted bland to her.

She couldn’t help but recall some stories she had heard in her past life, tales of temples that were reputed to be very efficacious in granting sons. But in reality, many of these temples concealed lecherous monks who took advantage of the women who came to pray for children. Once a woman from ancient times was discovered to have been unfaithful, she would either be drowned in a pig cage or discarded by her husband’s family, and the bullied women dared not speak out. Eventually, some would end up with offspring, which only made those temples seem even more miraculous.

But such temples were not exposed easily; they knew how to ’cater to the diner.’

Today, a man was hidden in Master Jingyuan’s room. Could there be other men in this nunnery, too? Could it be like those temples, an indecent nunnery?

Bai Ruozhu thought of the Bo Family mother and daughter still at the temple and quietly instructed Jianqi to send someone to protect the Bo Family. She also asked Jianqi to investigate the connection between Master Jingyuan and her illicit lover.

In the afternoon, Gu Xue’an returned to her assigned small room to rest. Bai Ruozhu took Dengdeng back to their room to sleep, but she suddenly worried there might be a problem in the room, like someone using knockout incense to render Gu Xue’an unconscious and then a man emerging from a secret door...

Concerned, she simply instructed Jianqi to have someone watch from the roof beams. After all, people generally didn’t undress for a nap; they just laid down in their clothes for a bit.

However, she couldn’t let Gu Xue’an find out about these precautions.

Fortunately, nothing untoward happened during their nap, and the Bo Family mother and daughter also encountered no trouble. After resting briefly, both parties departed from the mountain.

Quietly, Jianqi reported back to Bai Ruozhu, saying, ”Master, I’ve found out that the man is a Team Leader at the City Gate, named Zou Fu. It seems he’s been involved with Master Jingyuan for several years. There are no other men involved. Zou Fu doesn’t dare to harass female visitors; he comes and goes quietly. Should we expose them?”

”Let it be for now. We’ll be leaving soon and won’t need to come back here in the future,” Bai Ruozhu replied with disdain for Master Jingyuan’s behavior, yet she didn’t want to interfere in the matter.

When Gu Xue’an woke up, Bai Ruozhu suggested it was time to return to the city. Thinking her tired, Gu Xue’an immediately agreed.

Bai Ruozhu first escorted Gu Xue’an home, set a time for their next accounting lesson, and then took her leave.

That evening, Bai Ruozhu recounted the unexpected encounter with Master Jingyuan to Jiang Yichun, who frowned and decreed, ”You’re not to go there anymore.”

Bai Ruozhu rolled her eyes at him. ”As if I needed you to tell me that.”

Suddenly, he pounced on her, biting down on her tender lips, stifling the words she was about to speak with a series of fierce sucks and nibbles.

After a while, he finally released her now swollen, mauled lips, and said in a fierce tone, ”You didn’t see anything unclean, did you?”

Realizing he was jealous, and thinking she had seen that Zou Fu’s body, Bai Ruozhu felt too embarrassed, angrily pinching the flesh at his waist and retorted, ”What are you thinking? I just heard some noise. I didn’t see anyone, let alone anything unclean. I’m the one who should be afraid of getting an infection!”

Only then did Jiang Yichun seem satisfied. He suddenly bent his head, intent on softly licking her lips, but Bai Ruozhu was still silently fuming. She turned her head away to dodge him, giving him a glaring eye roll.

He chuckled lowly, his hand entwining in her hair to hold her head in place as his kiss fiercely landed once more. The temperature in the room rose, and a tumultuous ”fight” began...

There’s no explicit content, just a bit of soup, as the recent regulations are strict, and the male and female leads cannot have ”nightly activities”...
