Abandoned Woman Busy Farming

Chapter 950: Chapter 952: Two Dead, One Escape_1

Furball darted swiftly, continuously attacking the incoming Poisonous Insects, but there were too many of them, and it was hard to attend to each one. Some people let out a scream and then collapsed to the ground.

Seeing that this wasn’t working, Bai Ruozhu reached into her sleeve, pulled out a handful of Drug Powder, and scattered it around.

The drug was something she had prepared in advance, and she had included the Antidote in the morning’s Decoction for everyone, so she wasn’t worried about her own people getting poisoned.

You Shen saw Bai Ruozhu’s action and a lustful and wicked gleam flashed in his eyes as he cursed, ”You wench, soon you will become a slave under my crotch!”

A Cold Light flickered in Jiang Yichun’s eyes. While fighting Chen Tianba, he flung a coin at You Shen. How dare that disgusting bandit disrespect his woman!

Bai Ruozhu’s complexion also turned serious. She sent a mental command to Furball to rush over and attack You Shen, then said to Jiang Yichun, ”Achun, leave that disgusting big worm to me!”

Jiang Yichun nodded at her and continued to fight with Chen Tianba.

The chief of Batianzhai, Chen Tianba, had excellent inner strength. It was said that he had once been a disciple of the Shaolin Su Family, but no one knew how he later left Shaolin to become a bandit on Xuantian Mountain. Born with immense strength and coupled with Shaolin Martial Arts, he made for a tough opponent indeed.

The second in command, Shi Feiming, was a master of hidden weapons. Facing off against the Tu Family father and son by himself, he periodically threw out hidden weapons. Although he didn’t injure the Tus, his actions wounded several soldiers nearby.

The third in command, You Shen, had only joined Batianzhai not long ago. As for where he came from, no one knew, but his mastery of Poisonous Insect Techniques was astonishing. Even Chen Tianba treated him with great respect and dared not offend him.

Seeing Bai Ruozhu coming at him, You Shen suddenly widened his mouth and let out a sinister laugh. Suddenly, a black beetle crawled out from between his teeth. The insect was very small, barely visible from a distance, but unfortunately for him, Bai Ruozhu’s eyesight was excellent and she witnessed this scene all too clearly.

Feeling her stomach churn, she almost doubled over to retch, but on the battlefield, one couldn’t afford to lose momentum. Biting the tip of her tongue, she forced herself to calm down.

Furball grew even more excited upon seeing the black beetle with red eyes. The beetle was also fast, turning into a shadowy black streak as it clashed with Furball.

”My children, feast to your hearts’ content!” You Shen laughed maniacally, shaking all over as if he were having an attack. Various bugs began to fall off him and then swarmed toward the frontline troops hunting the bandits.

Bai Ruozhu cautiously arched her body to avoid Shi Feiming’s hidden weapons, her eyes fixed on You Shen, wary of any other trump cards he might have.

Her Furball was powerful, but there was only one, and she didn’t know what else the opponent might have, so she had to be on guard.

You Shen looked at Bai Ruozhu with disdain. In his eyes, whatever odd thing Bai Ruozhu had wasn’t clear to him, but after all, she was just a young girl, and he could snap her neck with one hand. Of course, he wouldn’t kill her that easily; he wanted to capture her first to have his fun, and then feed her to his Poisonous Insects.

Such a beautiful face would surely be a delicious treat for the bugs.

You Shen thought and couldn’t help but burst into laughter, but his laughter abruptly ceased as he suddenly spat out a mouthful of blood and fell backward.

Furball zipped back onto Bai Ruozhu’s body, and a black beetle with red eyes fell to the ground. Soon its eerie red eyes lost their luster, turning gray in the end.

Bai Ruozhu was filled with excitement, as that strange Poisonous Insect had died; and judging from You Shen’s reaction, that Poisonous Insect must have been his life insect. When the master died, the life insect would unleash its most ferocious final strike, but with the death of the life insect, the master would suffer grave injuries, even requiring several months of recovery.

At that moment, a battle cry rose up: the reinforcements had arrived. Wen Shu Lin Chengjie had issued the commands, and everyone charged forward, quickly turning the tide of the battle.

”Third Brother! Third Brother! Are you alright?” Chen Tianba called out, but as he got distracted, Jiang Yichun’s sword struck his arm, and blood spurted from the wound. Clenching his teeth, he rushed towards the fainting You Shen, shouting to everyone, ”Retreat, close the fortress gate!”

Shi Feiming had not expected You Shen to fall so quickly either and, in a hurry, threw several hidden weapons and rushed towards Chen Tianba to protect him from behind.

”Kill!” Jiang Yichun yelled, and like an arrow released from a bow, he darted out, thrusting his sword towards Chen Tianba, who was holding You Shen and trying to escape. Shi Feiming raised his sword to block, but it was already too late.

”Ah...” Chen Tianba let out a scream as he fell to the ground, with You Shen tumbling down from his clasp.

Seeing the opportunity, Bai Ruozhu immediately ordered Furball to bite You Shen and poison him to death. However, Furball gave no response.

For a moment, Bai Ruozhu felt both excitement and helplessness: excited that Furball had fallen asleep again, which meant it was about to advance to the next level, but helpless for potentially missing the golden opportunity to kill You Shen.

Tu Lie and Tu Bai rushed forward to engage Shi Feiming who, with eyes split wide in fury, roared insanely. Yet he could only watch powerlessly as Jiang Yichun decapitated Chen Tianba with a single sword strike.

”Bastard, I, Shi Feiming, swear to tear you to pieces!” Shi Feiming cried out and suddenly threw a few Smoke Bombs. The crowd charged, but by the time the smoke cleared, he had vanished.

”Charge into Batianzhai, don’t let a single mountain bandit escape!” Jiang Yichun shouted, then turned to Bai Ruozhu and said, ”You stay here, let Jianqi and the others protect you, I’ll be back soon.”

Bai Ruozhu nodded, giving him a reassuring smile.

Jiang Yichun led his men into Batianzhai. The mountain bandits, seeing their leader dead or fleeing, scattered in panic and ran for their lives, instantly disintegrating into chaos.

Bai Ruozhu saw the chaos in Batianzhai and, harnessing her lightness skill, rushed to You Shen’s side. Such a person must not be left alive, potentially causing trouble later. Jiang Yichun and the others hadn’t made a move, probably thinking You Shen was already dead, but Bai Ruozhu knew that even with the death of his life insect, his injuries could be healed.

She took out a Dagger and gestured with it, but in the end, helplessly, she said to Jianqi, who followed her, ”Cut off his head, and be careful not to touch his blood.”

”Yes,” Jianqi replied with a solemn expression, then suddenly drew his sword and severed You Shen’s head.

Such fast sword speed was the only way to avoid bloodstains.

Bai Ruozhu gave Jianqi an approving look, then quickly took out Drug Powder from her person and poured it over You Shen’s body.

”This man is covered in Poisonous Insects, and even though he is dead, I fear his corpse might still hatch bug eggs. I will use this Drug Powder to prevent the Poisonous Insects from acting up. Send someone to ask Achun and the others what they plan to do. It would be best to burn it all cleanly with fire; otherwise, it could cause harm for thousands of years.”

Jianqi quickly called a dark guard and instructed him to go find Jiang Yichun and ask for instructions.
