Royal Secret: I'm A Princess!

”TSK.”

Aigoo.

Neoma could only sigh when her Papa Boss clicked his tongue after seeing Dominic Zavaroni and Gavin Quinzel (her appa insisted on being addressed as Gavin Quinzel instead of Kim Won-shik for now).

On the other hand, Mama Boss looked worried.

The only one who was worried aside from Neoma.

After all, Nero just had an indifferent look on his face.

He doesn’t care at all, huh?

”Dominic, Gavin, why are you here?” Mama Boss asked, the fear in her voice was loud and clear. ”How about Nichole? Areum? Nabi? Are they okay? Are they okay with you coming here to fight for us?”

”We can explain, my lady,” Dominic Zavaroni answered politely. ”But, rest assured, we didn’t leave our family without any protection.”

Mama Boss looked relieved by that.

”How did you get here?” Papa Boss asked curiously. ”Who brought you back to this world?”

”It’s Novak and the Goddess of Life,” Gavin Quinzel answered, and then he turned to Neoma. ”Are you sure you want to hear this conversation, Neoma? You still look upset.”

Now everyone was looking at her.

Haaah.

But, yeah, I’m still in a bad mood.

”You adults should talk among yourselves for now,” Neoma said, bowing her head. ”I’ll just cool my head first.”

SO, Neoma ended up picking up Lewis from his training.

The other Silver Foxes still wanted to stay in her Hellgate, so she let them be.

Trevor, on the other hand, had already left to continue doing whatever he was doing before he had brought Neoma to the Black Ocean.

Ah, speaking of which...

”I should have stayed longer.”

”Why?” Lewis asked, sitting next to her when she plopped down on the grass and leaned against the tree behind them. ”Did you want to inspect the dried-up Black Ocean?”

”Nope,” Neoma answered while shaking her head. ”I just remembered that Nero said the ghost of Emperor Nero was supposed to be there. But I was too distracted at the time that it slipped my mind.”

”Did you have something to say to the ghost of Emperor Nero?”

”Nothing in particular.”

”Then why did you want to see him?”

”Because he’s my brother?” Neoma answered, laughing at Lewis’ question. ”Even though he’s the ghost of Emperor Nero from the previous timeline, he’s still my baby brother. As the noona, it’s my duty to check on him.”

Lewis let out a sigh. ”This is the problem, Princess Neoma.”

”Hmm?”

”You’re very arrogant.”

”Thank you.”

Lewis rolled his eyes.

Oh, wow.

My son is really all grown up already— he rolls his eyes at his mother now.

”Thinking that you have to look after everyone is arrogance itself. I know it’s not your intention, but you’re still looking down on us,” Lewis said while shaking his head. ”It’s the reason why you’re upset that Saint Zavaroni and Lord Gavin Quinzel are here, isn’t it?”

As expected of my son, he really knows me well.

And, yes, Neoma had already spilled the beans to Lewis.

More like I ranted to him.

Anyways, her son listened to her well, as usual.

”I just didn’t want people who were already living peacefully to be dragged into this war. Of course, I’ll make sure to send them home in one piece. But, still, it would have been better if they hadn’t been sent here in the first place.”

”By the way you talk, people might think Saint Zavaroni and Lord Quinzel were dragged here against their will. You always encourage using our free will, Princess Neoma. But once we do something a bit dangerous, you suddenly turn into a control freak.”

Neoma gasped at the words that Lewis used. ”Control freak? Where did you learn that term, huh? Are you expanding your vocabulary behind my back?”

”I sometimes read the books that you used to read when you were younger, Princess Neoma.”

”My smut books?!”

Lewis just avoided her gaze guiltily.

”Yah!”

I should burn all the remaining smut books on my hidden shelf that survived Papa Boss’ purging...

”Forget about everything you’ve read.”

”Yes, Princess Neoma.”

”Anyway, I think you’re right,” Neoma said, sighing. ”I am, indeed, a control freak. And it makes me a hypocrite because, as you said, I encourage you to use your free will. But what can I do? I have a god complex. Old habits die hard.”

”Just trust us on this, Princess Neoma. Even if you are the strongest and the most beautiful girl in the entire world, you cannot win the war on your own.”

Pfft.

Lewis definitely called me ’beautiful’ to cheer me up.

”Moreover, this isn’t the time for you to be sulking, Princess Neoma.”

”I know.”

”You don’t,” Lewis said while shaking his head. ”If you’re in your normal condition, then you would have already grabbed the chance to train with your first mentor.”

Oh.

Oh!

”You’re right, Lewis. Uncle Dominic is my mentor,” Neoma said, getting up immediately. ”I’ll ask him to teach me more about making barriers!”

HANNA and her family got a secret, emergency message from the Imperial Family.

Hence, here we are now.

Hanna and her parents were waiting for their special guest in the room where the portal that connected their mansion to the Imperial Palace was.

And, after a few moments of waiting...

”Brother!”

Her father immediately ran and hugged the person who came out of the portal.

Uncle Gavin...

Yes, Gavin Quinzel was back.

The genius of the Quinzel Family.

The previous emperor’s strongest knight.

The master of the Shadow Beasts.

”Welcome back, Brother-in-law,” Hanna’s mother greeted Gavin Quinzel politely. ”It’s been a while.”

”Yes, indeed,” Gavin Quinzel greeted Hanna’s mother politely while patting her father’s back. ”Rufus, are you crying?”

”I’ve missed you so much, Brother...”

”Aigoo.”

’Aigoo?’

Hmm.

Hanna remembered hearing that phrase from Neoma a lot.

Well, they lived in the same world for a long time.

But even though Gavin Quinzel was wearing clothes that were obviously from another world, her uncle’s aura hadn’t changed at all.

Just one look at Uncle Gavin and you already know that he’s strong.

”Hanna, congratulations on becoming the new Duchess.”

Ah.

Hanna smiled and bowed her head politely. ”Thank you, Uncle Gavin.”

”Can you spare me some of your time?”

”Yes?”

”My skills seem to have been rusty after living a peaceful life for so long,” Gavin Quinzel said. ”Do you mind sparring with me?”

Hanna beamed, and then she immediately nodded her head. ”I’d love that, Uncle!”

I’ll officially steal the title ’Genius of the Quinzel Family’ from my uncle this time.
