Royal Secret: I'm A Princess!

1005 RELIVE THE TRAUMA

WOW.

Neoma was amazed after finding out that they’d be using the portal in House Quinzel’s mansion to return to the palace.

That was when she realized where exactly they were at the moment: the Evedane Duchy.

It was Duke Rufus Quinzel’s territory in the South Region where the Quinzels ruled for many generations now. The sea in front of them was the Lajar Sea— the Sea that was currently being dominated by the Pirates.

[I have a feeling it’s Pirate Hanna’s fleet.]

”Cover your face, Lady Quinzel.”

”You don’t have to tell me what to do, kid,” Neoma said while using the hooded cloak that Lewis lent to her. She had to cover her beautiful face and luscious hair to hide her identity. ”I know I shouldn’t be here.”

Lewis was under the impression that she was Neoma Quinzel.

[So, it’s safe to assume that Neoma Quinzel is still alive in this timeline. But even though I’m supposed to be Neoma Quinzel, I still shouldn’t be here. All the Quinzels are currently at the Imperial Capital, judging by how Lewis looked surprised when he saw me here.]

”Let’s go, Lady Quinzel.”

”Okie-dokie.”

Lewis gave her a weird look. ”You speak strange, Lady Quinzel.”

”Don’t sweat the details, my son.”

”I’m not your son.”

Pfft.

Neoma found it fun teasing Lewis because, these days, she couldn’t really call him her ”son” anymore.

Calling him that way was bound to end someday.

[But I’m not yet ready to let go of my first son.]

Neoma only snapped out of it when they finally reached the room where the portal was.

Fortunately, Lewis was wise enough to ask her men to leave first. That was why only the two of them were in the room at the moment.

[Anyways…]

The portal turned out to be a huge ”whirlpool” on the wall.

[This isn’t the kind of portal that Trevor makes.]

”Lewis, who made the portal?”

”The Royal Archmage, my lady.”

Oh.

”Do you know if there’s a young, powerful, and extremely obnoxious Sorcerer at the Imperial Capital?”

She knew that Trevor managed to get out of the Royal Grimoire on his own in the first timeline. But she didn’t know when it happened. In her old memories, it was Commander Ruto who found Trevor and brought him to her.

[But I do remember that I met him before that.]

The memories weren’t just clear to her.

”Sorcerers have gone extinct as far as I know,” Lewis said, pausing for a moment. ”I’m not sure since I don’t like studying. Even Prince Nero isn’t interested in Sorcerers, so I didn’t find a reason to care about them.”

Pfft.

It was really funny how this Lewis was so loyal to Nero.

[And yet they hate each other from where I come from.]

”But there was a rumor I heard before I was dispatched here.”

”What rumor?”

”Apparently, the ”Devil” is back,” Lewis said hesitantly. It was as if he didn’t know if he should be saying that. But, in the end, he still did. ”The rumors said the ”Devil” used Mana as if it was natural for him to do so. Some even said that the ”Devil” was stronger than the well-known mages in the Capital.”

”Did they describe how this ”Devil” look?”

”As what people often say, the Devil is apparently handsome.”

”And, apparently, he has deep purple eyes that looked black in the dark.”

[That’s Trevor, alright.]

So, the genius sorcerer had freed himself in this lifetime.

That was a relief to Neoma.

”Lady Quinzel, don’t get involved with the Sorcerers,” Lewis warned him lightly. ”His Imperial Highness won’t forgive you if you do that.”

Pfft.

Neoma just waved her hand casually. ”Don’t worry about that— your little Crown Prince is no match against me.”

[Or so I thought.]

***

NEOMA’s plan was to slip away once they got to the Imperial Palace.

She knew where Nero would have locked up her Lewis, so she knew where to go.

However, her plan was ruined.

”You’re late.”

Uh-oh.

That cold and condenscending voice could only belong to the arrogant Nero de Moonasterio, this timeline’s cold Crown Prince.

Yep.

Her baby twin brother (Dead World version) was waiting for them in the room connected to the other side of the portal. Fortunately, Nero was alone there.

Even so, his presence there ruined Neoma’s plan already.

She missed her chance to escape, after all.

[Dammit.]

”Didn’t I tell you to hurry back?”

Tsk.

[Why is he scolding Lewis?]

”My deepest apologies, Your Imperial Highness,” Lewis said, bowing politely towards Nero. ”I have returned.”

Ah, shit.

When Lewis bowed his head, Neoma— who was hiding behind her tall ”son” even though she kenw that Nero had already noticed her presence— was exposed.

”Why did you bring a woman here?”

Lewis fell silent.

And Neoma could feel him panicking.

[He probably didn’t expect Nero to greet us personally like this.]

”Who are you?” Nero asked Neoma coldly. ”Reveal yourself.”

Neoma tried to run away without using her divine power to keep her identity hidden.

Unfortunately, giving herself a handicapped caused her to be caught by Nero.

Well, to be honest, she was half-hearted in her escape plan anyway.

After all, she didn’t want Lewis to be punished because of her.

”Who said you can run away, huh?” Nero asked coldly while grabbing Neoma’s arm quite tightly, and then he rudely removed her hood. ”Now let’s see…”

Of course, her baby twin brother trailed off.

After all, Neoma’s white hair and pale skin was exposed.

Her ash gray eyes met Nero’s ash gray ones.

Naturally, the Crown Prince looked shocked.

[He probably thought he was looking at his girl version.]

Heh.

”What are you doing here?” Nero asked, rudely pushing Neoma when he recognized her. ”You shouldn’t be here.”

Neoma was about to open her mouth to give Nero a piece of her mind when, suddenly, the doors opened.

”What are you doing here, Nero de Moonasterio?”

Oh, fuck.

It was the Dead World’s Emperor Nikolai de Moonasterio.

The Imperial Majesty scanned the room, his cold gray eyes falling on Neoma.

Shit.

This was Papa Boss before he became a decent human being.

”You’re still alive?”

That was the first thing Papa Boss said to Neoma.

Of course, she was aware of how her father treated her in the first timeline.

She had already forgiven him back in their world.

Even so, it still hurt hearing that from her Papa Boss because it was like reliving her trauma.

Hence, before she could stop herself, her big mouth suddenly had a mind of its own.

Neoma clicked her tongue while looking at Nero and Papa Boss back and forth. ”Scumbags.”
