Rebirth: General, Don't Mess Around!

If he were to enter the same room as the little fox when they went upstairs later, a fight would probably break out tonight considering Li Jinnian’s temper.

Li Jinnian said, ”I’m not on holiday. I came to participate in a meeting at your military school. We need a batch of technical talents, and we plan to choose a batch from your school.”

In 2003, China’s maritime air defense was at a disadvantage, especially after the big event that happened on the first day of April 2001. A pilot sacrificed his life to protect China’s maritime air defense. Amidst the sorrow of the entire country, the military issued three red documents in a row. That was how the southern sea guarded by Li Jinnian and the rest entered the construction phase.

Construction required talents to be imported. They needed to start importing talents from the military school. Together, they would complete two of the three red documents.

These were secrets of the navy and the air force. Li Jinnian naturally couldn’t reveal them to Ye Jian. He only said that he needed a group of people to recruit him.

Ye Jian naturally wouldn’t ask in detail. When she heard that he was going to her school, her eyes lit up. ”Will you be staying in our school too?”

”Of course. Your school provides accommodation. Why should I stay outside?” Li Jinnian saw that she was so happy about his arrival. He, who had always been serious and cold, shed his coldness and said in a warm voice, ”I can take this opportunity to take a good look at your performance in school. You have to be vigilant. If I find out that there’s a problem, I won’t show mercy.”

This sentence was very familiar. Ye Jian instantly remembered that year when Captain Xia brought her to her cousin’s team. That was when she saw her cousin, who was called a ’demon’ by the water ghosts.

On the first day of training, he only said to her, ”I won’t show mercy.” After that, he didn’t give any instructions and only glanced at her occasionally. Ye Jian still remembered that gaze… It was filled with distrust!

At that time, she was also provoked by his gaze. She didn’t dare to show it and only competed in secret. After a week, she received personal guidance from her cousin.

Now, her cousin was saying again that he wouldn’t show mercy. That meant he really wouldn’t.

Ye Jian heard familiar footsteps and looked up instinctively. She saw her handsome boyfriend coming over with three glasses of water. As she looked at him, Ye Jian couldn’t help but smile.

”Why are you laughing?” She suddenly laughed. Li Jinnian, who didn’t understand, asked, ”Do you think I’m joking?”

”No, no, no.” Ye Jian smiled and sighed. ”I’m laughing because you and Captain Xia take such good care of me. But during training, the two of you are the most ruthless to me.

”During the underwater training, I didn’t have the time to rush out of the water. Cousin, do you remember how you treated me at that time? You raised your leg directly. You didn’t even use your hands. You stepped on my head and pressed it into the water.”

…

Why wouldn’t he remember?

Li Jinnian’s breathing quickened. He adjusted his sitting position unnaturally and said calmly, ”I don’t remember. I treat everyone equally during training. I don’t have an impression of that happening.”

That time, when he raised his leg and stepped on the water, he remembered that the person he stepped on wasn’t a male soldier in the team. It was… a female soldier.

Unfortunately, his reaction was a little slow. When he realized it, he had already stepped on her. Thus, he simply didn’t retract his foot.

Ye Jian felt that it was impossible for her cousin not to have any impression of it. She still remembered that when she surfaced again, the water ghosts from the observation team ran over to pull her out. Big Shark even secretly told her not to take offense. When Demon King stepped on her, he almost fell into the water too.
