Checking in for 100,000 Years

Chapter 930: Chapter 930: The Ancient Nether Clan, Returned from the Dead

”Strange creatures have appeared, quickly kill them!”

Facing the sudden anomaly, the old man in white took a deep breath and calmly instructed.

Whoosh, whoosh...

One by one, milky white fire lotuses appeared instantly in the void, falling like dense raindrops.

These were the terrifying Lotus Demon Fire, reputed to purify all things in the world.

Even those strange creatures covered in black long hair, though incredibly fierce, had little resistance against this Lotus Demon Fire.

The wave of attack launched by the strange creatures was immediately suppressed.

Ye Yun saw this scene and nodded silently.

The Lotus Demon Fire had a certain effect against this strange energy, and it worked quite well.

No wonder these strange creatures are almost unseen in the Divine Land; most of them were purified by the Pure Lotus Demon Dragon Clan.

Just after extinguishing a wave of strange creatures.

In the depths of the burial pit.

Various strange noises emerged again.

A larger number of strange creatures, amidst whistling sounds, flew out from within.

Their numbers were actually more than ten times the previous amount.

”Clan Leader, something is amiss, why have so many strange creatures suddenly appeared?”

Dragon Feather spoke solemnly.

”Indeed it is strange; according to common logic, there shouldn’t be many of these strange creatures now, occasionally some might appear, but there should definitely not be this many!”

The old man in white narrowed his eyes slightly, his expression becoming much more somber.

Ye Yun approached.

”Your Pure Lotus Demon Dragon Clan has been in this Netherworld Burial Pit for millions of years; has such a situation ever occurred before?”

He asked softly.

”Benefactor, it has occurred before, similar to a beast tide in the world, but not frequently, and this time, it seems to have been seventy or eighty thousand years since the last occurrence...”

The old man in white thought for a moment and said.

”Interesting, there’s a barrier down below that isolates detection by Divine Sense...”

Ye Yun’s pupils narrowed slightly as he gazed into the depths of the Netherworld Burial Pit and smiled gently.

”Benefactor, even though we have been guarding here for millions of years, we are not sure how deep this Netherworld Burial Pit truly is...”

The old man in white explained solemnly: ”It’s extremely terrifying in there, even we dare not venture in lightly; we can only gradually refine from the periphery, eliminating those corpses through such a progressive method.”

”Do you think it is the corpses of the spiritual cultivators and Dragon Clan that created the horror of the Netherworld Burial Pit?”

Ye Yun’s expression flickered, as if he had discovered something, and he asked indifferently, staring intently below.

The old man in white thought for a moment and said: ”Perhaps it’s these strange creatures... However, the true sense of terror, I personally feel, should be from the corpses of the Ancient Clan at the very bottom!”

”Hm!”

Ye Yun nodded in agreement.

This time, he might encounter something more interesting.

While the three were speaking.

The clan members of the Pure Lotus Demon Dragon had already taken action.

Whoosh!

White lotuses from the sky fell densely, rushing towards those strange creatures.

Boom! Boom!

They collided in mid-air, becoming entangled.

However, the strange creatures were no match for the Lotus Demon Fire, and within just a breath or two, they were turned to ashes.

The strange creatures kept flying out from the depths of the Netherworld Burial Pit, as if moths to a flame, without any hint of retreat.

Ye Yun watched all of this with his hands behind his back, with a calm gaze.

The white-robed old man beside him commanded the battle with a grave expression.

This battle lasted for a full hour before the numerous strange creatures finally disappeared.

Whoosh!

The clan members of the Pure Lotus Demon Dragon collectively breathed a sigh of relief.

They finally eliminated all those strange creatures, restoring peace to the Netherworld Burial Pit.

”Benefactor, please remove the enslavement mark for my clan members!”

The white-robed old man turned around, looking at Ye Yun with eager eyes.

”Wait a moment, there’s a big guy coming out from within the Netherworld Burial Pit...”

Ye Yun said in a flat tone.

”Benefactor, can you see through the depths of the Netherworld Burial Pit?”

The white-robed old man was greatly astonished.

”I can see some things, but not very clearly...”

Ye Yun answered ambiguously.

In the depths of the Netherworld Burial Pit, Ye Yun saw numerous corpses.

These corpses were entirely different from the spiritual beings and Dragon Clan of the Divine Land.

This should be the Ancient Clan.

The corpses of the Ancient Clan, piled together, generated a powerful wave, blocking the detection by Divine Sense.

Even though Ye Yun possesses strong divine sense, he could only get a general idea.

In a vague sight.

Ye Yun saw a terrifying corpse slowly sitting up, its eyes glowing, exuding an overwhelming aura.

This corpse was entirely different from the others.

It seemed to have come alive.

Ye Yun was intrigued, wanting to see what skills this member of the Ancient Clan had.

After all.

He had sparred with the Goddess of Ancient, and was very impressed with the divine skills of the Ancient Clan.

Rumble...

A deafening noise came from the depths of the Netherworld Burial Pit.

The surrounding abyss walls shook violently, creating a sense of alarm as if the solid platform could collapse at any moment.

”Could it be... that big guy is about to come out?”

Feeling the terrifying phenomena around, the old man in white exclaimed, startled.

With a wave of his hand, all the clan members of the Pure Lotus Demon Dragon were on high alert, ready for battle.

Plop!

Suddenly, a black ring appeared in the void.

The black ring oscillated continuously, forming larger and smaller black rings like ripples on a lake, emitting an indescribably eerie aura.

”Interesting...”

Ye Yun smiled, watching the scene quietly, his anticipation growing.

The member of the Ancient Clan, having undergone millions of years, is now thoroughly resurrected, surely possessing some unique methods.

The black rings, pulsing continuously, seem to stem from that entity trying to break through the deepest restriction with a mysterious divine skill.

Indeed.

In the depths of the Netherworld Burial Pit, there was still a strong prohibition.

This was a restriction aimed at the Ancient Clan.

It was meant to prevent the corpses inside from undergoing some change, breaking out to harm the living of the Divine Land.

This restriction has no effect on any being of the Divine Land.

So, even though the Pure Lotus Demon Dragon Clan has been guarding here for millions of years, they never discovered this extremely clever restriction.

Plop, plop, plop...

The central black ring, vibrating with an unusual frequency, gave off an increasingly eerie sensation.

A black silhouette suddenly appeared in the center of the black ring, seemingly phantasmal, gradually becoming solid.

”What... what is this?”

The old man in white widened his eyes, clenching his fists, incredulously staring at the scene before him.

The Pure Lotus Demon Dragon Clan had been guarding the Netherworld Burial Pit for millions of years, never having seen such a bizarre creature.

”This is a resurrected member of the Ancient Clan, not a strange creature formed from the dead bodies of the spiritual beings and Dragon Clan...”

Ye Yun explained indifferently.

What?

Could it really be the Ancient Clan?

All the members of the Pure Lotus Demon Dragon Clan were shocked upon hearing Ye Yun’s words.

According to their understanding.

Members of the Ancient Clan were beings from millions of years ago, long since completely dead.

In these millions of years, these corpses have been extremely quiet, never undergoing any changes.

How could it be that now, a corpse has been resurrected?

What on earth is happening?

A deep, low laugh faintly emanated from the black silhouette.

”Heh heh, I didn’t expect you, fellow, to recognize at a glance that I belonged to the Ancient Clan!”

In the ring, the black figure was finally solid, no longer phantasmal.

This was a giant about ten feet tall, entirely pitch-black, surrounded by black mist, with a pair of long, narrow, dark blue eyes exuding manic killing intent.

The most peculiar thing was.

He had wings, and beneath them, there were two dark red long scythes like those of a mantis.
