Chapter 666: Chapter 666: 5 Little Cats Come to Fish for Treasures

”Ha, we’re going to fish for treasures too!”

The Immortal Divine Silkworm excitedly rushed over as well.

”Count me in!”

The Ruyi Jade Spider laughed heartily, jumped up, and settled on the edge of the well.

The other demon beasts were not to be outdone. Apart from the Big Black Horse pulling the carriage and the Xuan bird on its roof, all the other demon beasts rushed over.

”I’m just a bird; I don’t have much interest in fishing for treasures...” the Xuan bird shook its head, sounding a bit helpless. It didn’t have a Deep Well fishing rod nor the ability to spin silk, and its feathers were definitely no use for fishing, right?

”Xuan bird, I’ll just stay and watch the carriage, keeping you company!” The Big Black Horse turned its head and gave the Xuan bird a sly smile.

”Great!” The Xuan bird smiled, feeling relieved.

Watching the five Little Cats from the carriage swarm out, along with a chubby Silver Silkworm and a luminescent small spider, the disciples from Blood Spirit Tian all stared wide-eyed in amazement. The disciples from the other Three Supreme Heavens, watching from afar, didn’t know what to say either. Most of them were particularly wary of that luminescent small spider. After all, it had swallowed all the poison gas, showcasing its power.

”These members of the Demon Clan must not be underestimated...” The Sect Master of Great Sun Heaven, an elderly man in yellow robes, witnessed the scene and mused. He hadn’t expected this. The usually mysterious Blood Spirit Tian surprisingly had such a deep connection with the Demon Clan. This was unexpected. As a Sect Master, he naturally sat on the edge of the well, holding a fishing rod, preparing to fish for treasures. Since this wasn’t their first time, they were quite experienced. Only those holding a Deep Well fishing rod dared to sit on the well’s edge. The others could only stand aside and watch.

”Those demon beasts are really tired of living! You’ll see what happens to you later!” the black-robed elder from Shenluo Tian sneered. He squinted his eyes, looked into the well water, and started fishing for treasures.

PFFT!

The Immortal Divine Silkworm floated over the well, opened its mouth, and spat out a silver thread, letting it fall into the well water.

The Ruyi Jade Spider turned around, lifted its round belly, and spat out several fine threads, dropping them into the water.

”Isn’t that considered cheating?” the Immortal Divine Silkworm whispered.

”Oh, it does seem like it. I’ll pull them back then...” the Ruyi Jade Spider said with an awkward chuckle. After all, it was in the True God Realm and felt superior, so it naturally didn’t want to bully others. Thus, reminded by the Immortal Divine Silkworm, it realized its mistake and quickly corrected its action.

”We’re just cats and can’t spin silk, so how are we supposed to fish for treasures?” Standing on the edge of the well, the Azure Sea Heavenly Dragon glanced at the other Little Cats nearby and asked with a smile.

”How about we use our mana to form a fishing line?” the Bloody Overlord Demonic Dragon suggested.

”I’m not sure if that’s a good idea,” the Nether Blood Green Wooden Dragon shook its head.

”Seniors, I have a good idea! Watch this!” Big Black Cat said, brimming with confidence. After speaking, it turned its rear towards the well and lowered its tail. The black cat tail gradually lengthened, eventually reaching deep into the well water.

”No way! Are you really planning to fish with your tail?” the Azure Sea Heavenly Dragon exclaimed in disbelief.

”When cats fish, they always use their tails!” Big Black Cat said triumphantly, lifting its head high.

”Alright, I admit you’re a genius! A true genius! Haha...” The Azure Sea Heavenly Dragon couldn’t resist laughing out loud.

”Ah, it’s mainly because we’re not real cats, so we don’t know their habits...” The Bloody Overlord Demonic Dragon shook its head and started to laugh as well.

Although their voices were loud, none of the sound escaped a certain perimeter. This was, of course, Ye Yun’s doing; he didn’t want the conversation between these demon beasts to be overheard by others.

”Big brother, that Little Black Cat really knows how to have fun! Who would’ve thought of using its tail to fish!” Little Seven looked in their direction, unable to help laughing.

”Little Black Boy is quite the live wire, very entertaining!” Ye Yun said with a laugh.

”Ouch!” Big Black Cat suddenly shrieked, leaping into the air and shouting mid-jump, ”How has this treasure come to life and learned to bite!”

All the demon beasts quickly looked over. Dangling from Big Black Cat’s tail was a peculiar black fish. The strange fish was several zhang long and extremely large. Its sharp, shining silver teeth were clamped firmly onto the fluffy black tail. Even though Big Black Cat had jumped into the air, the black fish held on tight, showing no signs of letting go.

”Hahaha! Little Black Cat, you didn’t fish out a treasure, but you hooked a big fish! Your luck is truly heaven-defying!” the Azure Sea Heavenly Dragon roared with laughter.

”This fish is quite poisonous...” the Ruyi Jade Spider exclaimed in surprise.

”Rest assured, Little Black Cat’s body is extremely tough. That black fish won’t be able to bite through its hide,” the Immortal Divine Silkworm said nonchalantly.

Big Black Cat turned around and, upon seeing the black fish clamped to its tail, flew into a rage. ”You rotten fish! How dare you bite me, Old Cat! Damn it, watch how I deal with you!” Big Black Cat waved its paw, and a Black Shield flew out.

BANG!

The Black Shield slammed into the black fish, sending it flying. The shield’s power was too strong; the black fish disintegrated in mid-air, turning into a blood mist that rained down.

SPLASH!

The well water churned violently. Dozens of black fish leaped out of the water, consuming the falling blood mist.

”Why are there so many fish in this well?” Little Seven stared wide-eyed at the black fish, a trace of fear appearing on her face. The black fish had sharp teeth and looked extremely vicious.

”Little Seven, you have a fishing rod, so don’t be afraid. These black creatures won’t attack the holder of a fishing rod!” Ye Yun said with a smile. After speaking, he turned towards Nan Shaohua, who was not far away. ”What kind of creature is this black fish?” Ye Yun asked.

”Senior, this is a Man-eating Demon Fish,” Nan Shaohua explained. ”It’s one of the more terrifying and bizarre creatures in the Deep Well of Ghastly Corpse. The one that just died was at the tenth level of the Destiny Realm. There are also some Life and Death Realm Man-eating Demon Fish in here.”

”Man-eating Demon Fish... The name sounds rather fierce,” Ye Yun said with a gentle laugh.

”Senior, Man-eating Demon Fish will only attack those without Deep Well fishing rods. Although they have wings, they usually won’t jump out of the water to attack humans,” Nan Shaohua continued.

Ye Yun nodded.

”Well, well! So it’s called a Man-eating Demon Fish, and it can fly too!” Big Black Cat, having heard Nan Shaohua’s words, landed from the air and curled its lips. ”I, Old Cat, am thick-skinned and tough; I’m not afraid of you little fry!” Unfazed, Big Black Cat casually turned its rear towards the well again, half-squatted, and swiftly dropped its tail back into the water.

”Let’s all fish too! We can’t let the Man-eating Demon Fish attack just Little Black Boy!” The Azure Sea Heavenly Dragon smiled faintly and, quite unexpectedly, also turned its rear towards the well, letting its blue tail hang down.

”Hehe, I’m going to fish for treasures too!” The Bloody Overlord Demonic Dragon gave a strange laugh, turned around, squatted on the edge of the well, and let its red tail hang down.

The Nether Blood Green Wooden Dragon did the same.

Kitten seemed hesitant. It only felt that this pose was rather improper. As if it were...

”Kitten, don’t disgrace our cat clan! Hurry up and fish for treasures!” Big Black Cat urged.

”Alright then!” Taking a deep breath, Kitten slowly turned around, squatted at the edge of the well, and gently extended its pure white cat tail, lowering it into the well water.

The water surface was calm. However, those Man-eating Demon Fish sensed a powerful aura and didn’t dare approach these cat tails.

”How amusing...” Little Seven looked at the five Little Cats—black, white, red, green, and blue—sitting side by side on the edge of the well. Their appearance was so interesting that she couldn’t help but giggle.

Ye Yun smiled affectionately. These five Little Cats had certainly stolen the limelight today.
