The Female CEO's Personal Bodyguard

”Although your lives are controlled by me, to me, you are not my slaves but my soldiers.”

Carson Flores calmly said, ”If you’re at fault, you’ll be punished; if you achieve merit, you’ll be rewarded. As long as you follow orders and fight bravely, you will have merit. I will reward you based on the significance of your contributions, and if you achieve great merit, I might return your freedom!”

As soon as these words were spoken, the Great Demons who had just lowered their heads instantly raised them, with expressions of disbelief.

What did he say?

Return freedom?

A Five-clawed Black Dragon was the first to express disbelief: ”You must be deceiving us. You hold our True Souls, life and death are within your grasp at a single thought. Why would you be willing to let us go?”

Other Great Demons chimed in: ”Back when the Thousand Demon Monarch subdued us, he spent considerable effort. Even though he is a Quasi-Saint with great power and does not need us much, he never considered letting us leave, let alone you. Are you just promising empty words to make us serve you?”

”Exactly, is there really such kindness?”

Carson Flores frowned and shouted, ”Silence!”

All the Great Demons immediately quieted down. Complaints were complaints, disbelief remained disbelief, yet none dared to confront Carson Flores directly, after all, Carson only needed a thought to obliterate them.

After all, their True Souls were in the Demon Summoning Banner.

Carson Flores calmly spoke: ”I have said it before, I need you, but not particularly, because this Quasi-Saint elder will always be by my side, so your existence isn’t as important as you might think.”

”You can choose to fight wholeheartedly and strive for the opportunity of freedom, or you can choose to muddle through, scheming and cheating, being enslaved by me for life, and even being casually killed by me.”

”Life is your own, the path is yours to choose. I won’t swear or beg you to believe me; believe if you wish. Just don’t be envious when you see others regain freedom in the future.”

”That’s all I have to say, disperse!”

The Great Demons dispersed with doubtful expressions, each finding a place they liked in this empty world.

Although they weren’t quite recognizing Carson Flores as their new master yet, when they were previously by the side of the Thousand Demon Monarch, there were so many Great Demons that they were only crowded together. With their strong personalities, friction was frequent and displeasing. Now, with such a change in living conditions, many Great Demons liked it.

At least they wouldn’t see a few unpleasant fellows as soon as they stepped out!

From this perspective, the situation has improved.

They were skeptical of Carson Flores’s words about returning freedom, but previously by the Thousand Demon Monarch’s side, they were restrained to a small area, and idle all day. After all, the Thousand Demon Monarch is a Quasi-Saint, who would dare to trouble a Quasi-Saint?

Even if someone did seek trouble with the Thousand Demon Monarch, it indicates they have a strength not below the Thousand Demon Monarch, and surely have ways to deal with the Thousand Demon Army, like the Black Robed Man, who was well-prepared.

Under such circumstances, regardless of whether the Thousand Demon Monarch wins or loses, it is them who fight desperately, suffer losses, and get injured. They might receive some rewards, but will definitely not gain freedom.

Carson Flores is different. He is weaker, and the enemies he encounters aren’t all Quasi-Saints, so there are more opportunities to fight, more opportunities to make contributions, more chances to release battle emotions, earn rewards, and even gain freedom.

Some Great Demons are unwilling to be ruled by a weaker being, feeling resentful in their hearts. However, there are also clever Great Demons who, after careful consideration and comparison, realize it is a good thing!

Everything fears comparison!

Not to mention, there are more chances to fight now!

As long as there is a chance, one must perform well; perhaps they can be the first Great Demons to regain freedom. After all, Carson Flores spoke about it, and to convince all the Great Demons, he must genuinely act on his words.

If one works hard, perhaps they will be among the first lucky ones!

Who wouldn’t want to be free if they could, rather than have their lives controlled by someone else and be at their mercy?

Carson Flores didn’t care how these Great Demons thought, anyway, what he had just said was true. If they genuinely strive and make great contributions for him, he wouldn’t mind letting them go. After all, there are so many of them.

Even though he obtained the Demon Summoning Banner, Carson Flores only sees it as an aid; while a ”Summoner” is indeed powerful, Carson Flores prefers to be strong himself!

The Thousand Demon Monarch was calculated against, the Demon God Banner was taken from him, and half of his power was instantly lost. Carson Flores does not want to repeat the same mistakes.

Carson Flores released an incarnation to travel, while he himself utilized the Divine Jade Marrow Milk for cultivation in the Ethereal Pagoda, racing against time.

With the once-in-a-lifetime Heavenly Materials and Earthly Treasures, Carson Flores’s long-stagnant strength began to soar once again...
