The Female CEO's Personal Bodyguard

Chapter 2190: Chapter 2190: Lord Sosa, I’m Here to Collect a Favor!

”Yes, it’s a promise, and an oath as well.”

Emily Gibbs calmly replied, ”The Life Curse was something I taught him. Now that he’s dead and used the Life Curse, I must settle this cause and effect. As for the grudges between you and him, right or wrong, I won’t interfere.”

Carson Flores laughed heartily, ”Fine, straightforward enough. In that case, you can try to kill me now. This time you waited eight days. Next time, it’ll be sixteen days!”

Emily Gibbs coldly responded, ”I’ll wait for you, but don’t let me find your true form!”

Carson Flores laughed, ”Don’t worry, you’ll never find it!”

Emily Gibbs slowly nodded, ”Then let’s see!”

Emily Gibbs raised her hand, once again blasting Carson Flores into a mist of blood.

Emily Gibbs floated in the sky, gazing at the empty air. Her eyes were subtly expressive as she stood there for a moment before retreating swiftly.

Sixteen days later.

Emily Gibbs stared at the tracking Magic Artifact glowing once more in front of her. This time, she wasn’t in a rush, merely observing the artifact with a delicate expression.

Clearly, Carson Flores was playing a doubling game with her.

He could easily stay hidden in some secret place, yet he insisted on emerging for her to hunt.

Was this his provocation towards her?

Or perhaps it was his way of expressing displeasure, his defiance?

Even if he couldn’t beat her, did he intend to spite her to the end?

Then let it drag on!

Emily Gibbs took to the sky, following the direction indicated by the artifact.

On a mountain peak near the Heaven One Sect, Carson Flores stood quietly at the edge of a cliff, hands behind his back, his white clothes fluttering.

A beam of Golden Light flew from the Heaven One Sect in an instant, landing in front of Carson Flores.

Carson Flores turned around and smiled slightly at the newcomer, ”Lord Sosa, we meet again.”

Lord Sosa squinted slightly, ”What are you here for?”

”To collect a favor.”

Carson Flores smiled slightly, ”In the Heavenly River Secret Realm, inside Emperor Howard’s tomb, you initiated the attack with the Yin God Wood against all the Primordial Spirits, igniting a battle. Later, Tatum Howard had all the Primordial Spirits possess prepared corpses, and the situation was dire. However, I sounded the Kui Niu Drum, separating their souls from their bodies, giving everyone a chance to counterattack. Otherwise, we all might have perished at Tatum Howard’s army. Don’t you think you owe me a favor?”

Lord Sosa stared at Carson Flores, surprised, ”You were the masked person who beat the drum?”

Carson Flores took out a mask, placed it on his face, then removed it again, ”Do you still need to look at the Kui Niu Drum?”

Lord Sosa shook his head. Once Carson Flores wore the mask, he was sure that Carson was the one who had drummed on that day.

Lord Sosa’s expression turned rather subtle, voice cold, ”You weren’t necessarily helping us; you were saving yourself, too!”

Carson Flores laughed, ”Indeed, I helped you to save myself, but the primary goal was to prevent Tatum Howard from leaving the Heavenly River Secret Realm alive. After all, if he made it to the God Immortal Domain, it would have sparked another bloodstorm. But no matter how you see it, I could have escaped at that time without getting involved in that battle, isn’t it?”

Lord Sosa was silent for a few seconds before nodding, ”Yes, I admit, you did a great help, but if we’re discussing favors, it was everyone present. Why seek only me?”

Carson Flores smiled, ”Because I’m familiar with you. Though our previous encounters weren’t pleasant, I admired how you took action against Tatum Howard without hesitation. It shows a core arrogance within you that I respect...”

Lord Sosa’s expression turned two shades colder. Clearly, being evaluated by a younger peer in such a manner displeased him somewhat.

Was this disdain or praise?

Lord Sosa coldly stared at Carson Flores, ”Aren’t you afraid I’ll kill you since you dare seek me out? That Treasury Pagoda you used to resist the War King’s Square Sky Halberd isn’t ordinary, enough to make anyone envy...”

Carson Flores laughed, ”Since I dared to come, I’m naturally not afraid of you making a move. Let me ask you, do you acknowledge the favor or not?”

Lord Sosa frowned, coldly staring at Carson Flores, his murderous aura rising. Carson faced his gaze without fear, his expression calm.

After a long while, Lord Sosa coldly said, ”What do you want? Tell me, and I’ll decide whether to agree.”

Carson Flores smiled, ”I’ve provoked someone, Emily Gibbs, the Sect Master of the Three Saints Sect’s ex-wife, a Great Land Immortal First Realm. She’s hunting me down, claiming she’ll chase me for a hundred years. It’s quite annoying. How about you help me kill her?”

Lord Sosa sneered, ”You want me to be a hitman for you?”

Carson Flores laughed, ”How can you call it being a hitman? It’s just mutual assistance. Tatum Howard and his people wanted to kill you, I helped you out. Now Emily Gibbs wants to kill me, help me solve this problem. Isn’t that fair? A Great Land Immortal First Realm, surely you don’t shy away from provoking her?”

Lord Sosa coldly said, ”Don’t use reverse psychology on me. I don’t take Emily Gibbs seriously, but why should I help you kill her and take on that karma?”

Carson Flores was about to speak when a figure appeared on the horizon, descending like a star, heading straight in their direction.

Carson Flores sighed, ”You see, she’s after me again. Will you help or not?”
