The Female CEO's Personal Bodyguard

Chapter 1798: Chapter 1798: An Important Guest of the Tribe

Carson Flores’ words reassured Rhys Fox.

Carson Flores did not use his status to pressure or force him, but considered the situation from the perspective of the Hundred Tribulations Gate.

No matter whether this plan works or not, at least the Hundred Tribulations Gate won’t be so passive.

Carson Flores calmly said, ”If we’re to act, it must be swift, a lightning strike before the Azure Dragon Clan reacts; otherwise, we will find ourselves in a passive position. Unless we abandon those disciples’ lives, the only option is submission, as neither side truly fears the other. If we ultimately fight, then their killing will be justified.”

Rhys Fox nodded: ”When I received the news, I immediately dispatched a number of people to investigate the movements of the Azure Dragon Tribe. We should receive the information soon. Although there are internal disputes, we’re essentially waiting for news.”

Carson Flores nodded: ”Though I’m worried about my brother Elijah White, I’m primarily focused on the decision of the Hundred Tribulations Gate. However, if the Hundred Tribulations Gate decides to give up, please inform me in advance, as I will try to save my brother Elijah White through personal efforts.”

After pausing, Carson Flores added: ”You must understand, based on the Dragon Clan’s attitude towards the Celestial Palace, I can’t promise much support from the Celestial Palace. Even if it comes down to rescuing them, I might have to rely solely on my own means to save my brother Elijah White.”

There was a hint of disappointment in Rhys Fox’s eyes. They respected Carson Flores, partly because of their regard for the Celestial Palace, and partly due to the hope that this matter could leverage its power. However, Carson Flores’ stance dashed his hopes.

Originally, the Dragon Clan paid little attention to the Celestial Palace. Within their territory, they acted independently, showing respect to no one. Naturally, they would not give face to Carson Flores, the Immortal Palace Envoy, now.

This was the reality.

Carson Flores made it clear: ”I respect the decision of the Hundred Tribulations Gate, as this is your internal affair, and you should decide and bear the consequences.”

If you ultimately choose to abandon these disciples for the dignity of the Sect, I understand. But before that, please give me some time, and I will attempt to personally rescue Elijah White.

Rescuing Elijah White is my personal endeavor, so don’t expect me to help save anyone else.

Rhys Fox straightforwardly nodded: ”That is of course no issue.”

Carson Flores had already given him ample respect, without pressuring him in any way. Moreover, if he decided to give up, that was his own choice, and it had nothing to do with Carson Flores.

To speak of incompetence, that was the Sect Master’s own incompetence.

With nothing more to discuss, Carson Flores was arranged to stay within the Sect.

The spies gradually returned over the next two days, and most of their reports were of little practical use, until another spy arrived.

”What, a significant figure from the Azure Dragon Clan has come to the Puddington Tribe?”

The Dragon Clan does not particularly enjoy living in groups, especially powerful members of the Dragon Clan. Upon reaching adulthood, they leave the headquarters of the Dragon Clan, taking their families and dependents to settle elsewhere, creating new small tribes, which gradually grow into large tribes over time.

The Puddington Tribe is the name of an Azure Dragon sub-tribe northeast of the Hundred Tribulations Gate, named after its origin and its master Casen Matthews.

The composition of the Dragon Clan is quite diverse, generally divided into three levels.

The first level consists of those with pure Dragon Clan blood, such as pure-blood Azure Dragons, regardless of strength, age, or gender.

The second level comprises pseudo-Dragon Clan members with Dragon Clan blood but impure lineage, like Jiao Longs, who are the offspring of pureblood Dragon Clan and non-Dragon Clan members.

The third level is comprised of servant races with no relation to the Dragon Clan. Due to the Dragon Clan’s strength, many Demon Races affiliate with the Dragon Clan, becoming their subordinates or servants.

In a more precise subdivision, there is actually a fourth level, which is slaves.

The Dragon Clan and Human Race on the Dragon Spirit Continent have been at war for years, with the Dragon Clan often capturing Humans to make up for their scarcity. They bring these humans back to serve the Dragon Clan.

This group has no freedom or guarantee of life safety, considered private property of the Dragon Clan. The offspring of this group are also slaves, generation after generation, with no hope of ever changing their status.

People like Elijah White and others, captured now, would become slaves if not killed, enslaved by the Dragon Clan for life with no escape.

As for running away?

Jail Dragon naturally has methods to enslave slaves, preventing any chance of escape.

”What significant guest?”

Could they be here because of the dispute with the Hundred Tribulations Gate, or possibly the Spirit Vein?

”Unclear identity, I dared not approach the tribe, only saw a colorful carriage pulled by a group of double-headed Jiao Longs, surrounded by several powerful guards. From afar, I saw a very young woman sitting inside.”

”We couldn’t see her initially, but she leaned out of the window herself, and that’s how we spotted her. She appears young, but her status seems quite esteemed...”
