The Female CEO's Personal Bodyguard

Chapter 1766: Chapter 1766: The Tenth Lollipop

”Senior Sister, it’s time to drink your medicine!”

Carson Flores carried the freshly brewed medicine and walked into the room.

The Immortal Monarch of the Four Seas opened her eyes, reached out to take the bowl, drank a sip, and her eyebrows twitched instinctively.

Too bitter.

Carson blinked, took out a lollipop, and handed it over.

The Immortal Monarch of the Four Seas looked up at Carson, and Carson’s expression remained natural: ”This candy is sweet.”

The Immortal Monarch of the Four Seas frowned; did this guy think of her as a child?

The Immortal Monarch of the Four Seas gritted her teeth, drank all the medicine in the bowl in one go, passed the bowl back to Carson, but didn’t take the candy from Carson.

Carson took the bowl with his left hand, kept his right hand extended for a couple of seconds, noticing that the other party didn’t seem to intend to take it, he naturally lowered it, and placed the candy on the edge of the bed.

”Senior Sister, have a good rest.”

Carson smiled and gave a gentle reminder, then turned cleanly and walked out of the room, closing the door behind him.

Listening to Carson’s footsteps fading away, the Immortal Monarch of the Four Seas withdrew her gaze from the door back to the candy on the edge of the bed, her expression turning subtle.

She pursed her lips, feeling the bitter aftertaste of the medicine lingering in her mouth.

She hesitated for a couple of seconds, finally reaching out to pick up the candy, gently unwrapping the plastic wrapper to reveal the candy inside.

She looked at the candy, then eventually put it in her mouth.

As soon as the candy entered her mouth, a sweet sensation instantly spread throughout, dispelling the bitterness in her mouth.

This sweetness wasn’t just simple sweetness; it had subtle hints of milk flavor... making her heart involuntarily feel a faint sense of happiness.

The Immortal Monarch of the Four Seas savored the sweetness in her mouth, her gaze lingering on the candy wrapper with its intricate design printed on it.

Could it be that this is not something from this world?

This kid seems not to be simple either; facing someone as powerful as herself, there was no fear in his eyes, but rather an attitude of equal friendship.

That’s quite unusual.

The Immortal Monarch of the Four Seas subconsciously recalled the circumstances under which she met Carson, him sitting alone on a chair, lounging on a mountaintop, looking relaxed.

She was being hunted by people from the Celestial Palace, and then met him?

Is he from the Celestial Palace?

The Immortal Monarch of the Four Seas slightly squinted her eyes, then closed them again, quietly savoring the sweetness in her mouth, while the candy wrapper in her hand had disappeared.

The next day, Carson once again carried the medicine and pushed open the door to the Immortal Monarch of the Four Seas’ room.

”Senior Sister, the medicine is here!”

Carson handed the medicine to the Immortal Monarch of the Four Seas, who silently took it and drank it all, then handed the bowl back.

Carson took the bowl; this time, he said nothing more, only taking out another lollipop and placing it on the bed before turning to leave.

After Carson left, the Immortal Monarch of the Four Seas picked up the lollipop, unwrapped it, and popped it into her mouth.

Wow, today’s flavor is different again?

Apart from being sweet, there’s also a grape flavor?

Quite tasty.

On the third day, the Immortal Monarch of the Four Seas sat cross-legged on the bed, watching Carson come in with the medicine, feeling an inexplicable and curious anticipation.

What would today’s candy taste like?

Ah, strawberry flavor?

The fourth day.

Pineapple flavor.

The fifth day.

Apple flavor.

...

As the days went by, under the medication and Jordan Roth’s treatment, the Immortal Monarch of the Four Seas’ condition improved day by day, no longer resembling the dying state she had been in before.

On the tenth day, Carson came in with the medicine as usual and handed it to her.

She reached out, drank all of it in one go, and handed the bowl back to Carson.

Carson held the bowl and smiled: ”Senior Sister, congratulations, the elder said your condition has improved greatly. You won’t need to drink such bitter medicine anymore. In the future, the medicine will be refined into pills that you can take daily and absorb through your own cultivation practice. In a little while, your injuries should be fully healed.”

The Immortal Monarch of the Four Seas responded with a ”Good!”

Carson smiled, holding the bowl, and turned to walk out.

The Immortal Monarch of the Four Seas suddenly raised her eyebrows, instinctively speaking out: ”Wait...”

Carson’s eyebrows slightly raised, with a sly look in his eyes, but when he turned around, he wore a face of feigned confusion.

”Senior Sister, do you have any more instructions?”

The Immortal Monarch of the Four Seas suddenly found herself at a loss for words.

How could she say it?

Why didn’t you give me a lollipop today?

Or, hand over the candy?

The Immortal Monarch of the Four Seas pursed her lips, feeling the bitterness in her mouth, her face remaining calm: ”It’s nothing, you can go now.”

”Okay!”

Carson agreed, turning halfway, but then suddenly stopped: ”Ah, I forgot today, Senior Sister, I’m sorry, I got distracted talking about the treatment...”

Carson quickly walked back to the bedside, apologetically placing a lollipop in front of her.

The Immortal Monarch of the Four Seas stared at Carson’s face, her expression subtle.

She thought this guy did it on purpose!

He deliberately didn’t give her candy while talking today; he wanted her to ask for it!

But what could she say?

Question him for not giving her candy today?

Or, unreasonably, kill him?

The Immortal Monarch of the Four Seas gritted her teeth and closed her eyes.

Carson acted as if nothing had happened, leaving naturally with the medicine bowl, just like usual.

The Immortal Monarch of the Four Seas opened her eyes, picked up the lollipop before her, and was about to rip off the wrapper when her hand paused.

She looked at the lollipop for a couple of seconds, pursed her lips, the bitterness in her mouth seemingly lessened.

She hesitated, gave up tearing the wrapper, and instead placed it back into the Space Ring...
