The Female CEO's Personal Bodyguard

Chapter 1254: Chapter 1254: How about we infiltrate deep into enemy territory?

Heath Wells suddenly looked up, shock in his eyes: ”Turned into my likeness?”

Carson Flores nodded: ”Yes, he struck brutally and in the blink of an eye, I was severely injured. So, I instinctively grabbed your True Soul, yet he was unmoved, which is when I realized the assassin wasn’t you. This matter was my mistake, and you have suffered unjustly because of it.”

Heath Wells’s face changed drastically he bowed again: ”Master is kindhearted and merciful. Even in such a situation, you still did not deadly harm my True Soul. Heath Wells is grateful for the mercy of sparing his life!”

Carson Flores waved his hand dismissively: ”At that moment, my instinct was that since you are from the Demon Race, you might have been turned during your contact with them and returned to kill me. That’s why I wanted to hold you to question you about the inside story. Thankfully, if I had directly moved to kill you, your death would have been truly unjust.”

Heath Wells had previously thought that it was because he hadn’t returned on time, and Carson Flores was warning him in this way, yet he hadn’t expected it to be such a huge misunderstanding.

Thinking that he had nearly died without reason, Heath Wells was filled with fear.

Fortunately, Carson Flores still wanted to control the situation to inquire, if he had not asked anything and simply crushed his True Soul, then he would have truly died as unjustly as Carson Flores had said.

”Thank you, Master. Did the assassin escape?”

Carson Flores shook his head: ”Although he heavily injured me, the Fairy took action and held him back. He is already dead.”

Heath Wells breathed a sigh of relief. It’s good that he’s dead; otherwise, if he had come back to trap Heath Wells another time, he wouldn’t know if he’d be equally lucky.

”How’s the situation with the army this time?”

Heath Wells replied: ”I mixed into the troops and captured a few officers to question. This time, the army brims with many Great Witches in its ranks, but I wasn’t able to find out if there are any Immortals among them. I observed for several days, but saw no trace of any Immortals.”

”This army’s Army Commander is one of the Demon Race’s Seven Generals, from the Azure Dragon Gate – the Azure Dragon Saint Monarch. Under his command are at least two to three hundred Great Demons, forming a very frightening formation.”

Carson Flores’s eyes widened. With such a line-up, if he encountered it, wouldn’t he be crushed to dust in an instant?

Jorge Gross arrived and inquired about the situation and then turned his head to ask: ”If Cristopher Hopkins takes action, can these Great Witches and Great Demons withstand him?”

Carson Flores affirmed confidently: ”They cannot withstand.”

Jorge Gross, having received the confirmation, definitively replied: ”In that case, there must be Immortals in their camp!”

Carson Flores asked: ”Why do you say so?”

Jorge Gross smiled: ”The Demon Race raises troops because they have Immortals backing them, intending to force out Cristopher Hopkins the Immortal. You and Cristopher Hopkins the Immortal are likely together. If there are no Immortals in the camp capable of suppressing Cristopher Hopkins the Immortal, they wouldn’t deploy troops on such a large scale. After all, in front of an Immortal, it would be akin to delivering themselves to our doorstep!”

”Just as we initially surmised, after we crushed the Demon Race’s Vanguard Troops, they would surely send a truly powerful fighting force. This is the true edge of the blade, but also bait.”

Carson Flores stroked his chin: ”If that’s the case, these Great Witches and Great Demons are just bait set in plain sight, while the Immortals are hidden within, lying in wait for us to fall into the trap...”

Jorge Gross nodded: ”That should be the case; otherwise, none of this makes any sense.”

Carson Flores tilted his head slightly: ”Fairy, can you sense their presence?”

The voice of Cristopher Hopkins Immortal came through: ”I can, but if I can sense them, they should also be able to sense me. In the Barbarian Wilderness Realm, no matter the level of power, the suppression isn’t too vast, and moreover, since they’re sending someone to target me, that person must be stronger than me.”

Carson Flores asked: ”Since the suppression makes the strength gap insignificant and they want to suppress you in one fell swoop, then there’s only one answer – there’s more than one Immortal there...”

Cristopher Hopkins Immortal nodded: ”That should be the case.”

”I need to think, you go ahead and keep busy.”

After letting Jorge Gross and Heath Wells leave, he then asked: ”So, what do we do now? Although we could continue to retreat and pull back, right now we are unclear about the opponent’s strength and numbers to just leave...”

Suddenly, Delarosa’s voice rang out: ”Let me accompany you, Cristopher Hopkins Immortal. Just by getting close enough, I can sense their presence and they won’t be able to sense mine.”

Carson Flores asked in surprise: ”Immortals can’t sense you?”

Delarosa answered: ”Correct, I am a magical treasure and inside me is a Formation which can hide my presence. This means I can sense their energy, but they cannot detect mine.”

Carson Flores asked: ”How close do we have to be?”

”It depends on how well they conceal themselves. If they’re merely using ordinary invisibility, then even tens of kilometers away, I should be able to sense them. But if they’re deliberately using techniques to mask their presence, then it must be very close, within one kilometer, or even closer.”

Delarosa replied: ”I can’t give you an exact answer to this.”

Carson Flores blinked, a plan forming in his mind: ”If we are discovered by the opponent’s Immortal, can you, Sister Delarosa, escape?”

Delarosa answered: ”It shouldn’t be a problem.”

Carson Flores then had a plan: ”In that case, let’s venture into the enemy camp...”
