Three Towers Game

Chapter 1257: Chapter 397: When My World Is No More

As the most skilled 007 agent at deciphering codes, Wen Xishu had just obtained a clue: the purpose of the interview was to trick you into making this move.

The game was to eliminate 25 people, so theoretically, doing nothing and waiting for the first twenty-five to die is the optimal strategy.

But that’s just theory; if everyone stays put, the interview time will run out and the rules for death might change.

Additionally, 007 Wen Xishu had a certain confidence in his luck and skills, so he chose to go first.

His mind raced, quickly reaching a conclusion—

If he was to act as a weary worker, then his actions would be related to this.

Weary, working.

He needed to find a clue from within this context.

”The action I must perform must reflect fatigue while also embodying certain traits of a worker. I must choose an action from among these that absolutely cannot be the intended action.”

At the same time, 046 Wen Xishu and Bunker Wen Xishu were nearly conducting synchronous analyses.

However, Wen Xishu had another problem.

Because just as the 007 was analyzing the answer and solution... the first victim appeared.

The Drunkard Wen Xishu, the tipsy Wen Xishu, whose crucial action was to ”say ’I’.”

Normally, if this person had the normal intelligence of a ”Wen Xishu,” he should have noticed that the way others looked at him was different.

If it were Wen Xishu himself, then as a skilled climber of Deceit Tower, he would instantly realize that the action above his head was easily triggered, which is why everyone’s gaze was so intense, even greedy.

At this point, what he should do is keep his mouth shut, refrain from any action, not engage in conversation, not participate in the interview, and wait for the other 25 to be eliminated.

Waiting might not be the optimal strategy in the truest sense, but if the risk of the word above one’s head is too high... then clearly, waiting is the best solution.

Wen Xishu confirmed, based on the reactions of those around him, that his action wasn’t something easily triggered, like blinking an eye and dying.

Of course, all analysis lies in normal standards, but the Drunkard Wen Xishu, unfortunately, was not normal. Having lost too much, with hardly anything good in life, he drowned his sorrows in alcohol, long numbed by it...

Thus he became dull.

Like Wen Xishu, his first reaction was to see 001 Wen Xishu, the most dangerous one, whom people dared not approach.

Wen Xishu’s keyword above his head was shock.

Making a target feel shocked is easy. All one needs to do is reveal a huge secret, and he did know one.

staggered drunkenly, wobbling towards 001.

Even though the rules stripped everyone of their abilities and tools obtained in adventures... 001 still seemed terrifying.

It was as if the rules had no hold over 001 Wen Xishu.

”Scram,” 001 Wen Xishu was cold, uttering just one word.

”Hello, aren’t you interested... hiccup... in knowing a secret, a secret about yourself... hiccup, an inevitable destiny?”

said:

”I will not be shocked. I advise you to treasure your life.”

Upon hearing this, many observers of the scene were shocked.

How did 001 know?

Because with shock already on 001, people wouldn’t be eliminated just for being shocked.

Wen Xishu himself was baffled...

This Wen Xishu was terrifying, he already discovered the word above his own head? How did he do it? This sentence of not being shocked stirred a wave of astonishment.

It was truly absurd.

”Alright, alright, why bother, you should know, some matters are unavoidable, why not restart, wouldn’t it be more fun...”

Inexplicably, the Drunkard Wen Xishu glanced at Wen Xishu.

In that moment, Wen Xishu felt the other’s gaze, but their eye contact was brief, images and illusions barely had time to form before the Drunkard Wen Xishu looked away.

”Looks like I came for nothing...”

Bang!

As the Drunkard intended to say this phrase, in the instant the word ”I” slipped out of his mouth... the Drunkard exploded.

Blood and debris splattered everywhere after the explosion, but the nearest 001 Wen Xishu remained spotless, his clothes untarnished.

He coldly watched the scene unfold:

”You have experienced sorrow, you think you’re the most miserable, at least, your world still has the luxury of sorrow.”

That drunken and dissolute Wen Xishu was dead.

The first casualty shifted everyone’s focus.

Simultaneously, the first casualty incited everyone to have the thought of ”killing another self.”

Because a system prompt appeared:

[Universe 061 Wen Xishu has been destroyed, based on causal relations, Universe 001 Wen Xishu successfully advances, and acquires the traits of Universe 061 Wen Xishu—Eye of Tragedy.]

Eye of Tragedy?

At that moment, all the Wen Xishus, including 007, were slightly taken aback.

Killing another universe’s self would grant... one’s own traits?

A hundred Wen Xishus, a hundred traits, the last surviving Wen Xishu would become the strongest Wen Xishu?

Once an action brings benefits, the nature of the action changes.

Initially, the Wen Xishus from various universes somewhat maintained an attitude of ”mind your own business.”
