Olexia swirled the ”worry-dispelling brew” in her glass, reclining lazily in the soft seat.

The surrounding din was deafening, yet it could not in the slightest disturb the detached leisure etched between her brows.

Ling Qi’s figure cut through the hazy lights, heading straight for her, her cold tone piercing through the music: ”Your Highness Goddess of Desire, Her Majesty has issued an order; the plan has been moved up.”

Olexia raised an eyebrow, her red lips curving slightly: ”Oh? Has little Wanling finally decided to tear herself away from her ’child-rearing grand undertaking’?” Her words carried undisguised teasing.

Ling Qi pushed up her glasses, ignoring the Goddess of Desire’s banter, and handed over a recording jade slip: ”Urgent report from the Emerald Kingdom, the Eternal Song Fortress defensive line is about to break. Her Majesty requests that you prepare immediately and play the role of the ’Abyssal Sovereign’ well.”

Olexia took the jade slip and scanned it with her divine sense; inside were chaotic images from the front lines of Eternal Song Fortress, along with the ”performance” details drafted personally by Shang Wan Ning.

Interest welled up in her eyes, and she downed the wine in her glass in one gulp.

”Let’s go.” She stood up, her skirt swaying gracefully, ”I shall accompany her in this play.”

...

Ativi Continent, Emerald Kingdom, outskirts of the Everlasting Song Forest.

The Everlasting Song Forest had long since lost its former appearance.

Scorched earth gnawed at the remaining greenery, and the air was thick with the choking stench of blood and burning wood.

The slaughter in the direction of Eternal Song Fortress did not cease for a moment; the verdant light screen shielding the Royal Court trembled violently, cracks spreading like a spiderweb, as if it would shatter completely at any moment.

In a narrow canyon far from the main battlefield, a small squad of elves was fleeing for their lives.

Their robes were stained with mud and their faces were filled with panic, yet their spines remained straight, and their strides still held the grace peculiar to elves, exuding an innate nobility.

The young elf in the lead had long, pale golden hair and pointed ears; it was the Elf Prince Kailanthos. He clutched a staff inlaid with moonstone tightly, his knuckles drained of color from the excessive force.

The elder elf mage Arathmir was leaning most of his weight onto Kailanthos.

His silver-white hair was disheveled, his robes soaked with a large dark patch on his chest, and his breathing was rapid yet faint.

This once sixth-tier powerhouse now had a fading aura, with only fourth-tier wood elemental energy barely keeping him alive.

In the middle of the group, staying close to them, was a young girl who looked similar to Lia—she was Lia’s half-sister, the Fourth Elf Princess, Ilena.

That pair of jade-green eyes was filled with terror, yet she stubbornly pursed her lips.

”Brother, can we... escape?” Ilena clutched Kailanthos’s sleeve, her delicate body trembling.

Kailanthos gritted his teeth and whispered a reprimand: ”Put away your cowardice, Ilena. The Mother Goddess will protect us, and the Royal Court will surely be restored.”

However, the fleeting panic in his eyes ultimately betrayed the unease in his heart.

Arathmir was critically wounded and dying, and fewer than one in ten of his loyal guards remained; the Elf Prince had no confidence at all that this secret passage would lead to a path of survival.

Just then, rough shouts rang out simultaneously from the bushes in front and behind them.

”Surround them, don’t let a single one escape.”

”It’s elves! Hey, look at their attire, they’re all fat sheep.”

Dozens of tall, hulking figures lunged out, clad in rough animal skins and reeking of a strong, sweaty stench; their rusty machetes and chains glinted coldly in the dim light, instantly trapping the elf squad in the center.

The man in the lead had a hideous scar across his face, and his eyes were as ferocious as a beast looking to devour its prey.

”It’s an Orc Slaver Squad.”

Arathmir forced himself to catch his breath, struggling to shield Kailanthos and Ilena behind him, while the tip of his staff barely managed to condense a faint green glow.

Kailanthos’s face drained of all color; humiliation and anger intertwined, yet he still held his head high, forcing himself to maintain the last shred of royal dignity: ”Despicable Orc bastards, I am the Elf Prince Kailanthos, back away immediately.”

”Otherwise, the Mother Goddess will descend with divine punishment and surely reduce you all to dust in the holy radiance.”

The Orc leader, played by You Yu, let out a hoarse and grating laugh, mocking them in broken Common tongue: ”Prince? Bullshit! What I catch is exactly you tender-skinned elves.”

”The Elf Goddess? She can barely protect herself right now, let alone look after you?”

Almost simultaneously, a dozen or so Blood Elves emerged from the shadows on the other side.

The captain in the lead saw the surrounded Elf royalty, red light flaring in his eyes as he greedily licked his fangs, but he glanced at the ”Orc” squad and did not step forward, instead speaking in a sarcastic tone: ”Not bad luck, you Orc brats.”

”These few are top-tier goods, that little princess... tsk tsk.”

Kailanthos and Ilena’s bodies stiffened instantly.

Arathmir’s eyes widened in anger, and he cursed sternly: ”You fallen ones who have abandoned the Source of Life, you shall eventually wail for eternity in the Mother Goddess’s divine fire...”

The Blood Elf captain scoffed at this, instead shouting at You Yu: ”Hey, when you’re done playing, remember to leave some scraps for us to snack on.”

”Such pure Elven flesh and blood is a rare tonic.”

The leader, played by You Yu, spat impatiently: ”Get lost, the things I’ve got my hands on aren’t for you to covet.”

The Blood Elves actually stopped approaching, laughing and watching with their arms crossed, as if enjoying a farce that had nothing to do with them, with filthy language drifting over from time to time.

”That old guy is done for; his vitality is completely withered.”

”This little prince looks really handsome; if he’s sold to a noble’s mansion in the South, he’ll definitely fetch a high price.”

”It’s a pity, no chance to taste him on the spot...”

”Do it!”

You Yu roared.

The Guixu Walkers, disguised as Orcs, pounced like wolves and tigers.

They deliberately restrained their power, attacking only with their tempered physiques and crude combat techniques, yet their movements were swift and their coordination tacit, truly mimicking the barbaric style of an Orc Slaver Squad.

The fragile shield Arathmir had erected shattered instantly after being hacked a few times by several machetes.

The old mage spat out a mouthful of blood and stumbled backward, and immediately two ”Orcs” pounced on him, binding him tightly with anti-magic chains specifically designed for mages.

Kailanthos waved his staff, and several weak moonlight arrows shot toward You Yu, only to be casually blocked by him with a heavy bone shield.

You Yu strode forward, his fan-sized hand clamping directly onto Kailanthos’s wrist, and with a twist of force, he snatched the staff away.

His other hand gripped the prince’s throat like an iron pincer, pressing him fiercely to the ground and binding him tightly with cold chains.

”Let me go, you filthy beast.” Kailanthos struggled with all his might, nearly fainting from shame and anger.

”Ah...”

Ilena’s scream was brutally cut short by an ”Orc.”

Her hands were pinned behind her back and tightly bound with coarse hemp rope; tears slid down silently, and she bit her lower lip hard, refusing to make another sound of weakness.

The entire process was clean and efficient, filled with Orc-style brutality.

The watching Blood Elf squad watched with great relish, commenting from time to time.
