I Punch the Tailed Beast Ball

Izumi rolled the dice and the die rolled on the ground for a while before stopping at one.

”One?” Izumi’s eyes widened slightly. She didn’t expect to be this unlucky. It was the smallest number.

Izumi advanced his pawn by one grid and then looked at the task in the grid.

[There is a trap here. You are dead. ]

”What!” Izumi suddenly raised her voice and looked at the grid in shock.

She remembered that she felt that no one would be so unlucky when she made this task, so he randomly wrote that.

There was only one grid in the entire chessboard where the player could be killed, and it was that grid.

”Dead? Doesn’t that mean you lose?” Hanayo looked at Izumi in pity.

This child was too unlucky that he lost right after she started playing.

”Why don’t you roll the dice again? We just get started and you already...” Kabuto couldn’t help but say.

It was too cruel to lose right after the game started.

”It’s okay. I don’t want to break the rules. I’ll just watch you guys play.” Izumi squeezed out a smile and took away her pawn from the board, but she was crying deep down.

’If I had known this would happen, I wouldn’t have made such a stupid task.’ Izumi was lamenting her bad luck.

She rarely had this chance. Itachi wouldn’t play this game with her under normal circumstances.

She had racked her brains to come up with the best plan for today so that she could get closer with Itachi.

Seeing that Izumi Uchiha was adamant on not breaking the rules of the game, Kabuto did not say another word. He then rolled the dice.

Kabuto’s luck was not bad. He was not as unlucky as Izumi Uchiha, but he wasn’t as lucky as Itachi either. The dice landed on three!

Kabuto advanced his pawn by three grids, then looked at the task in the grid.

[As a Shinobi, the more you fear something, the more you have to face it. Say what you are afraid of out loud.]

’This is a fairly normal grid.’ Kabuto thought to himself, then began to think about what he was afraid of.

”If I were to say, it is probably darkness,” Kabuto said with a smile.

”Kabuto, you are actually afraid of darkness? I didn’t expect that.” Hanayo looked at Kabuto with a hint of surprise.

In her opinion, Kabuto was a very powerful person, someone worthy of being chased for the rest of her life.

When she first saw Kabuto staring at her in a daze during class, Hanayo thought that Kabuto was a lazy child. She even tried to persuade Kabuto to study seriously.

However, through Kabuto’s performance in the class, Hanayo’s opinion on Kabuto was also changing little by little.

Kabuto’s academic grades were not bad, and his Shuriken throwing was very outstanding. His Taijutsu was also very good, and his Ninjutsu was even more outstanding.

In short, Kabuto was like an almighty Shinobi in her mind, so when Kabuto said that he was actually afraid of darkness, Hanayo was surprised. She was no longer afraid of darkness since she was four years old.

Itachi also looked at his friend in surprise. He did not expect that Kabuto was afraid of darkness.

Kabuto smiled and explained, ”Because I was a war orphan. I was injured in the war, and I also lost my memory back then. And since my eyesight was very poor I felt like I couldn’t see anything once it gets dark, so I was very scared. But it’s fine now. I have the glasses given to me by Mother. I won’t be as scared anymore with this.”

Kabuto pointed at the round glasses he was wearing. It was obvious that it was not a children glasses.

Nagasawa had once brought Kabuto to Tsunade to see if she could cure his eyes. Tsunade said that it would be better to treat him after he grew up. Later, Nagasawa asked if he wanted a suitable pair of glasses, but he refused.

To him, the glasses that Nono gave him held a special meaning. He had to wear them even if it broke.

For the first time in his life, he felt that the world was clearer, all thanks to the glasses.

Kabuto’s words left everyone speechless for a moment. None of them knew that Kabuto had such a past aside from Itachi. They didn’t expect this as Kabuto was a cheerful smile.

”You guys didn’t actually take it seriously, right? Haha, I was actually joking. I was afraid of the dark because I’m short-sighted.” Kabuto said as he noticed that the atmosphere was gloomy all of a sudden.

”Damn, Kabuto, you actually lied to me.” Hanayo could not help but poke Kabuto.

She suddenly remembered that Kabuto’s brother was the Hokage Assistant. There was no way he had such a tragic past.

”I just didn’t expect you to be deceived so easily.” Kabuto scratched his head in embarrassment.

Izumi Uchiha looked at Kabuto suspiciously. Kabuto’s expression just now seemed fake.

Itachi was silent and did not say a word. He knew about Kabuto’s circumstances.

’War must be eliminated’. Itachi’s determination became stronger.

Itachi felt uneasy when he thought of the possibility of the same scenario repeating itself, but he was powerless to help.

”It’s your turn, Hanayo.” Kabuto smiled and handed the dice to Hanayo.

”Yes.” Hanayo took the dice and gently rolled it.

The dcie rolled on the ground twice and finally landed on six.

”Six...” Hanayo advanced her pawn by six grids, then checked the task.

[As a Shinobi, it’s important to be able to intimidate the opponent. Intimidate the previous player by any means necessary.]

”The mission is to scare Kabuto?” Hanayo looked at Izumi Uchiha.

Izumi Uchiha nodded. She was envious. This was the mission she wanted. She wanted to have fun with Itachi.

’How should I scare Kabuto?’ Hanayo fell into thought.

Hanayo tried to make a scary face.

However, Hanayo was a cute girl. Let alone scary, she was just cuter. Kabuto even laughed when she made that face.

”Grrr.” Hanayo tried to imitate a beast’s roar.

This time, Izumi was also laughing at Hanayo.

Hanayo blushed, feeling a little embarrassed.

However, she remembered what Kabuto had said just now and used her hands to cover Kabuto’s eyes.

”You should be scared now, right?” Hanayo said as she covered her eyes.

”Yes, it’s indeed a little scary when it suddenly turns dark,” Kabuto said after thinking for a while.

Looking at Hanayo who seemed to be hugging Kabuto, Izumi was getting bitter.

She made this game to get close to Itachi, but Hanayo was the one who got a really good opportunity from this game.

She just wanted to play double six with Itachi, and she couldn’t even get that.
