Max Level Return—I'll Protect That Fragile One

The butler was stunned on the spot.

In the bedroom, Huo Yunsheng slowly woke up and noticed a gray and white figure outside the door. He weakly called out, ”Is that you, Ah Cheng?”

Shenyin Cheng pushed open the door and walked in.

He put on gloves, poured a glass of warm water for Huo Yunsheng, and brought a straw to Huo Yunsheng’s lips.

After taking a sip, Huo Yunsheng asked him, ”Has the doctor not come yet?”

Shenyin Cheng decided to tell him the truth, ”Mister, no doctor is willing to come and treat you.”

Huo Yunsheng was visibly stunned.

After understanding what Shenyin Cheng meant, Huo Yunsheng’s face flushed with angry red as he cursed lowly, ”These opportunistic dogs, now that I am down, they all kick me when I’m down!”

”Ah Cheng!” Huo Yunsheng said to Shenyin Cheng, ”Quickly go see my father! Let him see the true faces of these dog doctors. They take a salary from the Huo Family but do nothing; they should all be fired!”

Huo Yunsheng cursed, completely oblivious to the indescribable expression on Shenyin Cheng’s face.

”Mister,” Shenyin Cheng frowned, reluctantly telling him, ”I’ve already contacted the old master, as well as the madam, the young master, and Young Master Song Chi. But they...”

Shenyin Cheng sighed softly, ”None of them are willing to help you.”

Huo Yunsheng was dumbfounded.

”My father, my son, none of them are willing to help me?” Huo Yunsheng found it unbelievable, and he coughed, angrily saying, ”If others won’t help me, so be it, but even that pup Huo Wenbei won’t help me?”

”I am sorry to Song Chi, but I have done no wrong to Huo Wenbei!” Xie Jinyun and Song Chi, along with Huo Canghai not finding a doctor to treat him, Huo Yunsheng could somehow understand.

But Huo Wenbei is the child he watched grow up; he has never wronged Huo Wenbei, so why would Huo Wenbei leave him to die?

Shenyin Cheng spoke a bitter truth, saying, ”Mister, although you have not wronged the young master, let me speak bluntly, you have not shown him any affection either. You have not harmed him, but you haven’t loved him much either.”

”Moreover, the madam is, after all, the young master’s mother. The things you have done have humiliated the madam. The young master was raised by the madam, and with her feeling betrayed by you, how could he not hold any resentment?”

Huo Wenbei would not kick Huo Yunsheng when he was down, but he would not extend a hand to save him either.

Upon hearing this, Huo Yunsheng pressed his lips tight, offering no rebuttal to Shenyin Cheng.

He obviously understood this logic.

”What was Song Chi’s reaction?” For that unfamiliar child, he could say he had no feelings at all, but he still wanted to know Song Chi’s attitude.

Shenyin Cheng’s expression was somewhat subtle.

”Young Master Song Chi said...” Shenyin Cheng looked at Huo Yunsheng with some sympathy before speaking, ”He said, you still owe the madam an apology.”

Huo Yunsheng was utterly astonished, ”He wants me to apologize to Xie Jinyun?”

”Not just her; it should also include the old master and Lord Captain.” Shenyin Cheng sighed, ”Though the old master dotes most on Lord Captain, he was never biased among you siblings.”

”The old master had high expectations for you, but the foolish things you did have truly broken his heart. In addition, Lord Captain suffered abuse at the hands of Huo Qinyou, all because of your romantic entanglements.”

”In my opinion, the doctors in the hospital refusing to treat you are not necessarily because they’re afraid of being infected by you.” While HIV is indeed infectious, it’s only through blood and saliva.

Under normal circumstances, it’s not easily transmitted through touch.

”They are avenging Lord Captain.”

Huo Yunsheng’s promiscuity provoked Huo Qinyou, resulting in Huo Wen’an being abducted and abused by Huo Qinyou. Now that Huo Wen’an has firmly seated himself as the Pilot, who would risk helping Huo Yunsheng?

”Ha.” Huo Yunsheng sneered, stubbornly saying, ”Even if I die, I won’t apologize!”

*

The next morning, just as dawn broke, Huo Wen’an got up with Xu Xingguang and changed into comfortable attire, planning to head to the training ground for a morning practice.

Huo Wen’an opened the window to refresh the air in the room and saw a person kneeling on the pathway on the lawn in front of the Pilot Mansion.

Huo Wuyi was wagging its tail, nudging the person with its nose, almost knocking him over.

Huo Yunsheng disdainfully pushed Huo Wuyi, ”You little beast, even you’re bullying me now?” He tried to drive Huo Wuyi away, but perhaps due to sensing the sick scent on him, Huo Wuyi refused to leave.

Enraged, Huo Yunsheng opened his mouth and spat at Huo Wuyi.

”I’ve got AIDS, let me infect you first!”

It was Huo Wuyi’s first time being spat on, and the whole pig was dumbfounded.

In the next second, Huo Wuyi took a few steps back, perked its ears, and charged straight at Huo Yunsheng.

”Ah!”

Huo Yunsheng was headbutted to the ground by Huo Wuyi.

Huo Wuyi snorted a few times above his head, and a few drops of its sticky saliva dripped onto Huo Yunsheng’s face.

After doing this, Huo Wuyi turned and ran towards the Pilot Mansion.

Huo Yunsheng’s face turned blue with anger.

Huo Wen’an, standing behind the window, witnessed this scene, and after a smile, he became contemplative.

Turning to Xu Xingguang, who was tying her ponytail, Huo Wen’an abruptly asked, ”You’re a beast tamer, did you agree to take in Fearless Baby because it was simply homeless?”

Fearless was too smart, far beyond the scope of being just a ’pig.’

Huo Wen’an had never deliberately observed Huo Wuyi before; it was his first time discovering that Huo Wuyi’s intelligence was somewhat excessive.

Xu Xingguang paused in her action of tying the hairband.

”What are you suspicious of?” Xu Xingguang continued tying her ponytail.

Huo Wen’an said, ”It’s excessively intelligent.”

Xu Xingguang pursed her lips, telling Huo Wen’an, ”I remember you said Fearless was bought from the town by you, delivered by a villager from Town Head Village.”

Huo Wen’an nodded, ”Yes, I heard the person’s family experienced a mudslide, and the old people and pigs died, only this piglet survived.”

”But they didn’t have any sows.”

Huo Wen’an then said, ”They might have bought the piglet from a dealer.”

However, Xu Xingguang said, ”Uncle Xie was from that village; sometimes he’d go back to plant some fruits and vegetables. Once he saw Fearless and told me that Fearless wasn’t actually raised by the family; it was a free-range pig, and no one knew when it appeared.”

”The elderly person in their village raised pigs and Fearless often snuck to their house to steal pig feed, which led people to mistakenly think it was their piglet.”

Huo Wen’an became somewhat pensive.

”So, Fearless isn’t a normal pig?”

Shaking her head, Xu Xingguang said, ”I don’t know what it truly is, but it definitely isn’t an ordinary pig. I’m a beast tamer; I can sense its intelligence continuously evolving, and such a creature I’ve only seen before in the Beast Taming World.”

”In the Beast Taming World, pigs that can evolve their intelligence are called Intelligent Creatures, with Intelligent Animals dominating positions.”

She walked to the window, gazing at Huo Wuyi, who was swinging its tail walking on the grass, and mused, ”I suspect it’s either an Intelligent Animal from the Otherworld. Or, it could be a... human who consumed mutated drugs.”

Before discovering the existence of the Divine Martial Realm, Xu Xingguang always thought that Huo Wuyi was an Intelligent Animal that accidentally stepped from the Otherworld into their world.

But now, she’s more inclined towards the latter.
