I Became a Witch and Started an Industrial Revolution

The actions of the Britian Empire were swift. Two Half-God–level powerhouses personally delivered a full set of floating magic array technical documentation to the Seris Alliance.

The moment Mitia obtained the materials, she immediately handed them over to the scientific department for trial production and verification. At the same time, she began mobilizing the military-industrial reserves within the Alliance’s territory, scraping together an initial batch of 100,000 rifles and 1,000,000 rounds of ammunition.

The weapons were readily available, but transportation required proper logistics. It was necessary to establish and plan transport routes along the way, and Aldahir had no objections to this.

After all, just calculating the straight-line distance between the two sides already exceeded 20,000 kilometers. If the Seris Alliance could effortlessly deploy hundreds of thousands of weapons to a battlefield tens of thousands of kilometers away, he genuinely could not understand what purpose other nations would even serve.

On the surface, Britian only had these two Half-God–level powerhouses. The fact that they could be dispatched already indirectly proved how urgent the Britian Emperor’s situation was.

The two Half-Gods used the Seris Alliance and the Kingdom of Suria as connection points. Starting from Campbellus, they constructed a large-scale energy-supplying magic array on Olyesk Island, then extended it to Eganado as the endpoint, forming a massive temporary teleportation array.

This allowed direct traversal across the strait to Eganado, saving more than 4,000 kilometers of travel. However, during the process, the two Half-God mages serving as spatial beacons, as well as the energy-supplying array on Olyesk Island, could not suffer any destructive interference—otherwise, the losses would be incalculable.

To protect them, Mitia, representing the Alliance, also invited two Half-God witches. Together with Aisha Fafner, the black dragon, they guarded the site. After going through all this, Mitia’s interest in researching such ultra-long-distance teleportation arrays diminished significantly.

It was far too troublesome—like layers within layers—and came with strict limitations and harsh environmental requirements. However, in specific situations, it could indeed prove highly effective.

For example, this time alone, crossing the long strait saved at least two rounds of transport aircraft component wear. At the same time, it allowed seamless connection to Suria’s railway network, reducing transportation costs.

It was also Aldahir’s first time personally witnessing the front line of industrial logistics.

Massive quantities of supplies were transported via railway trains from Astar State, an industrial region, toward the teleportation array entrance.

They were then transferred onto container semi-trailer trucks, transported through the large teleportation array to Eganado, reloaded onto trains, and carried via the Kingdom of Suria’s railway network to the nearest border state, Oreka.

From Oreka, the supplies were loaded onto large cargo airships. These airships passed through Britian Empire’s Delik State, stopping for refueling and resupply, before finally flying directly to the western states, where segmented container drops scattered the supplies across designated areas.

The total one-way journey took approximately two months. This was only the duration for the first airdrop. During this period, additional transport airships needed to plan, design, and construct suitable docking points and supply transit stations.

Once this route was fully established, more Alliance airships would operate along it. As the number of cargo vessels increased and round-trip capacity grew, transportation efficiency would steadily improve, eventually reaching the desired delivery efficiency.

Throughout this entire process, all expenses had to be borne by the Empire itself—Mitia had no habit of paying for others.

The initial delivery plan was set at 2 million bolt-action rifles and nearly 100 million rounds of ammunition, with settlements conducted every six months.

Since there were also production orders from the Derro nations, the Alliance distributed this massive order outward.

Its own military-industrial factories undertook the initial 35%, while the remaining orders were handed over to the rapidly emerging private military-industrial enterprises.

These enterprises were largely concentrated in the developing New State, effectively allowing them to seize a massive opportunity.

The grand move by the Britian Empire shocked surrounding nations. Both the Empire of Mantogore and the Kingdom of Ixia closely monitored the negotiation process. Once everything was finalized, they too approached the Alliance to purchase weapons.

The global situation began to shift toward an unpredictable direction.

The Alliance’s military-industrial enterprises were completely unable to absorb the sudden surge of orders. In simple terms—it was an order explosion.

However, this time, Mitia did not approve further expansion of military-industrial enterprises in New State. Instead, she allowed existing tank manufacturing complexes to step in and establish additional firearms production lines to absorb the orders.

At the beginning, the Seris military-industrial manufacturing sector had been entirely state-owned.

After the formation of the Alliance, it underwent second and third phases of expansion. The original artillery, firearms, and truck sectors were split and assigned to different regions, operated by various public-private joint ventures or private factories.

Meanwhile, state-owned military industries fully transitioned into the production of warships, aircraft, and tanks—focusing on heavy industries while letting go of lighter ones.

Several national defense states with strong technological reserves, well-developed transportation networks, and efficient resource logistics were divided, forming two to three ultra-large military-industrial complexes in specialized fields.

There were six aircraft manufacturers and two warship design bureaus.

As for tank manufacturing, there were three major producers within the Alliance, each responsible for different sectors.

For example, Memlotorh State handled the research, development, and production of heavy tanks. Another state managed large and medium tanks, while a third focused on infantry fighting vehicle design.

Assigning firearm orders to them allowed their subordinate factories to stay operational, absorbing the orders without creating an excess of short-lived, artificially prosperous military-industrial enterprises.

After all, these orders were not something that could sustain them for a lifetime.

Once the orders were completed, if no new contracts followed, the consequences would either be pushing the Alliance toward aggressive external expansion or triggering mass bankruptcies and unemployment. Neither outcome was acceptable to Mitia.

By utilizing tank factories instead, they could absorb large volumes of orders without major structural changes. Once the orders ended, they could simply revert to tank production with minimal negative impact.

At most, some machinery would remain idle—but idle equipment was hardly a real loss.

At the same time, this approach helped Mitia preemptively establish the foundational framework for numerous subordinate manufacturing plants. Skilled workers could continue training within tank production facilities, and if war broke out, they could rapidly switch and massively scale production capacity.

During Aldahir’s stay in the Seris Alliance, he came to fully witness another side hidden beneath the Alliance’s seemingly harmless and naive exterior.

Endless railway networks stretched beyond sight. Countless trucks carried unimaginable quantities of supplies along wide, smooth roads right before his eyes.

He knew very well that the Alliance was not deliberately showing off. This was simply how they operated.

As a prince—and the most likely heir to ascend the imperial throne—Aldahir was extremely sensitive to institutional efficiency. And he clearly understood that the Empire could not achieve this.

It could not act this quickly.

It could not mobilize resources this efficiently.

It could not deploy such massive volumes at such speed.

He shifted his perspective slightly. If this were not logistical transport but an outward military campaign, the speed at which the Alliance could deploy troops and weapons to the battlefield would not be much slower than this.

The difference between civilian and military use was merely a change in justification.

So what truly restrained them?

Was it merely that strait?
