The hivemind is conquering for me?

*SNIIIIIF*

”Ahhhh! Can you smell them Kragg? So many of them. I have grown accustomed to the smell of their fear.” Vrakul proclaimed with a boastful yell as he turned up to the mech to his right.

Kragg rolled his eyes. First, he very much doubted Vrakul could smell fear. Drakoshi don’t have the biology for that. Second, they were still a few miles away and third. He was inside his air pressurised mech. No smells were getting through. Still, he humoured the Warlord.

”Yes. I can. Many are going to be crushed beneath my weight this day.”

Vrakul turned around and began walking backwards, raising his arms high addressing the clone masses. ”Are you all ready to follow your Warlords into a glorious, bloody conflict! Are you clones ready to bring glory to your clans!”

A loud guttural war cry sounded in unison from the Drakoshi present, prompting Vrakul to flash his sharp teeth in satisfaction. This was going to be a battle to remember. He felt it in his bones. As he turned back around, he was about to suggest to Kragg to tell the Vim to activate their anti artillery shields, since Dinnac were also tech freaks, but the moment he was about to do so, his body acted on reflex.

Sticking his hand out to the side, he watched as he felt an impact and within a couple of seconds, his meat evaporated from his hand before it regenerated once more after a five seconds.

The pain shocked him more than the damage and looked off to where the shot’s trajectory came from. Up on the hill, roughly half a mile away. He saw him.

The little human that he toyed with and let slip from his grasp. The weak human that was now all alone. He laughed.

”Ha! Hahaha! Ahahaha! Look, warriors. Over there. The purple reaper comes and gives his life to us now willingly. Knowing his end is at hand. Laugh at his stupidness!

The rest of the Drakoshi did not dare disobey an order and began laughing, pointing and taunting towards Purple reaper, who was just standing there. Idiotically.

Kragg, however, just looked ahead, he began scanning Purple reaper immediately. Reading his weapons for a shot, but he was hesitant. Not because he couldn’t fire. No, his lasers were locked on, but the danger sense, he was feeling it even now. Emanating from Purple Reaper. So he just observed. Preparing for anything.

...

”Fuck me sideways, that did more damage than I thought.” I said, slightly shocked that I was able to rend the flesh of the warlord’s bones from such a distance.

”Heh, Janine would be so proud I hit that shot.” I thought warmly of my Sepiidan beauty before drawing myself back to reality. I could hear the Drakoshi down in the valley laughing for some reason? While the two Warlords just stood there watching me?

I found it kind of odd that no one was shooting me, but that wasn’t a bad thing. All I had to do was give them the bait and bolt. Simple.

Clearing my throat I began applying Psionic energy to my vocal chords. AS much as I could. It had to be loud. It had to be heard for miles. It had to really sink in for them that what I was about to say was actually said to them. In a way they would never, ever expect.

Rolling my Shoulders I took a deep breath, bringing as much Psionic energy as I could before I shouted, In Drakoshi High Dialect.

”YOUR QUEENS SENT YOU HERE LOOKING FOR BETTER COCK THAN YOU MISERABLE SACKS OF SHIT CAN GIVE HER! WELL HERE I AM CUM GUZZLERS! TELL YOUR QUEENS THEY CAN SLOBBER OVER MY THICK MEAT MACE ANYTIME! ANYPLACE! YOU FUCKS!”

I then proceeded to do the smart thing and flew away as fast as I could.

...

*Stunned Silence*

Although most clones could not speak higher Drakoshi, they could understand it on a genetic level. Their true language was a closely guarded secret. So how did....

”RRRRRRRRRRRRRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!”

Vrakul let out a howl that sent death chills down all Drakoshi present.

”Kragg Lead the assault! I’m putting that fuck where he belongs. In the ground!”

Kragg himself was furious. He had no queen as things currently stood, but what he just heard. He had lost almost all rationality. Some human dared? Dared to speak his language?

”Vrakul. No. We must all give chase. Kill that bastard together and-”

Kragg dodged to the side as a Warhammer was swung towards his leg.

Vrakul then pointed his weapon up at Kragg’s cockpit. ”You will lead the assault. NOW! I am killing that fucker myself.

There was no room for further debate as Vrakul was seriously out for blood, plus he had begun to give chase the moment he finished speaking.

Kragg still wanted to give chase, but ultimately, the last parts of his rationality held out. ”My soldiers!” Forwards! This species needs to be culled!” Kragg yelled as he went from walking into a slow run while the rest of the Drakoshi let out more warcries and charged ahead with reckless abandon. Their tactics gone, blinded by rage.

...

”Do we know what that was just now?” Serena asked from the ramparts.

”No my Lady. We have no clue.” A Centurion spoke.

”Yes we do.” A voice spoke out, turning around Serena glanced at Rhapso, who was looking out ahead.

”I don’t know what he just said, but that was Apollo’s voice. Without question. Whatever he said really pissed off the Drakoshi as I have heard a Warlord scream like that only once before.

”Really? Where?” Serena asked, curiously, despite it not being the best time.

”When King Sigismund chopped off the arm of Gazik the undefeated during combat.”

Serena’s eyes went wide upon hearing that and looked out ahead in the distance. Worried.

A few moments later, someone ran over yelling. ”Commander Hyllus! Aerial scans have shown one of the Warlords running away from the main force at considerable speeds!”

”Give me!” Serena declared and snatched the data pad from the man’s hand and looked at the images.

She shook her head, a pained expression on her face. ”Apollo, you fool.” She thought aloud, but wouldn’t let the opportunity her brave nephew has given the fort go. He had given them an even greater chance at victory after all.

”Serena Hyllus here Broadcasting on all frequencies. All super heavy weapons focus on the lone warlord. Everyone else, Fire where instructed. Our Sentinel has baited one of the Warlords away to give us a fair fight. So make his sacrifice worth it! Take out every single Drakoshi you see. If I find a Phalanx with ammo left at the end of this battle, I will kill you myself. So fight!”

As she said that, the artillery began firing, holding nothing back. There was no need to hold back. Either they fend off the Drakoshi here and now for the next few hours or... There was no or. They would fend off the Drakoshi, by as much time as they could. Or die. Simple.

...

Down in the trenches, that had been expanded dozens of times outwards from the fort since the first siege, a Phalanx heard what was just said through his company’s communicator.

”Great. So instead of two Warlords and an army of juiced up Drakoshi, we have one Warlord and an army of juiced up Drakoshi, you know what this means?”

”Yeah, we die in two seconds instead of one! So live it up lads and ladies. So much time left. I don’t know what I am going to do with it. Maybe a nice vacation to the other trench? I heard it’s sunny this time of the year.”

A wave of laughter emerged from the veteran Phalanx guards. The best way to cope with their incoming death was gallows humour after all. It was happening all over. However, one woman was not laughing.

”Did you not hear? Sentinel Lambdason is fighting a Warlord on his own while we have to just fight one. I don’t know about you, but I like those odds.”

”Zip it Ginge, let us have our final moments in peace without your sentinel ranting. Sure Sentinel Lambdason has saved thousands, but he is not saving us today. He is a dead man fighting a Warlord on his own.”

”You Zip it! I was at the Siege of Redriver! The man saved my life personally and millions more from certain death. Believe in him. He will win! We will win!”

”...”

The group went silent at the way the ginger haired girl was yelling at them. They hadn’t seen someone speak about another in that way before, it freaked them out a little. Most of them anyway. A few felt the words deep and found them reassuring.

However, before more words could be spoken. Small arms fire could be heard in the trenches ahead of them. Looking up, the Drakoshi had begun to emerge in the distance and there was no holding back. No ammunition was to be spared. As per orders.

”Fuck me, what is that thing?” One soldier gulped, looking in the distance at the forty meter tall metal behemoth that just fired a direct laser strike from so far away, disintegrated a large portion of a frontline trench.

”Not our problem.” The ginger haired woman exclaimed, laying prone at the edge of the trench and put her helmet on. ”Our job is the uglies. Leave the big tin can to the Sentinel’s Praetorians. Trust that they will protect us and we shall win!”
