Raising My Trash Ability into a Broken SSS+ Rank Skill

Chapter 835: An Easy Trap

”Haa, finally I can speak normally.” Diana felt much better.

Vritra massaged his temples. They had almost fucked up over this. How had they all overlooked something so obvious?

Diana had almost become an anomaly.

”There are no pets like cats or dogs here. In fact, no one keeps pets on this planet,” Divine added.

”Wait, we might have overlooked it, but there is no way you wouldn’t know this.” Vritra suddenly looked at Divine.

”Oh haha, yeah, I knew it. I thought it would be fun-”

BANG

Vritra took two plates and squished the bug between them.

’When will you ever be serious? Our lives are literally on the line here. Why are you still joking?’ Vritra asked, though he also blamed himself for not thinking of this sooner.

He had been too focused on dealing with the players and had completely overlooked that bet.

”Oh come on, do you really think any of you can die with me here? Even if you can’t win the game, I can at least keep you alive.” Divine spoke with absolute confidence.

’Yeah, but winning this game is also very important. It is our fault too, but in the future can you inform us if you do know something?’ Vritra asked, noticing the looks on everyone’s faces.

Except for Shitless and Onest, everyone was feeling guilty.

Especially Vanessa, Teresa, and Diana.

”Fine, I will. Also, that little girl has already left this building, but there are at least five others like her who might be being controlled,” Divine said. He would prefer not to interfere too much.

He believed in the saying: what doesn’t kill you makes you stronger.

’Thanks, we will be careful.’ Vritra nodded. He could understand Divine’s thoughts too.

And so he didn’t linger on the blame game.

”Okay, listen everyone. This will be our first and last mistake. We have to be absolutely careful here. Our faces have already been seen, so we will have to change identities soon. Let’s do that after tonight’s plan. If everything goes according to plan, things will become a bit easier.” He said, patting Diana’s head instead of blaming her.

It wasn’t the time for that.

...

Time passed quickly, and the sky began to darken.

Vritra and the others moved throughout the building, making preparations.

He could sense the constant gazes of the people Divine had pointed out. They really were Anne.

Thankfully, those Level 6 demigods couldn’t kill people mindlessly. That was the only reason Anne hadn’t attacked yet.

Soon, it was almost night and everyone left their buildings.

[The Night is approaching, try your best to hide!]

A message flashed before everyone.

Everyone except the Level 4 demigods was surprised, unable to understand the meaning.

But it wasn’t long before they began to understand things.

They found each other and didn’t attack immediately.

One Level 6 demigod killed one of the Level 4 demigods, thinking he was an anomaly, and received a penalty.

For several hours, he would be unable to use any of his energy.

The punishment was severe.

And so, one of the Level 4 demigods was killed before he could even get close to Night Corp.

Many players were also located in other towns.

There were two Level 6 demigods in this town.

One Level 5 and several Level 3 and Level 4 demigods, and all of them stood outside Night Corp.

As the day faded and night descended, the ruler’s law finally ended.

A heavy fog began to cover everything.

The streets.

The people.

All of it.

It was time for the hiding game.

”How can there be several games happening all at once?” Anne, one of the Level 6 demigods, asked while looking at her companion.

”Whatever the reason might be, we will find the answer in there.” The man with the red moustache and bald head spoke.

He was wearing a doctor’s outfit.

And it was him who had killed one of the Level 4 demigods after mistaking him for an anomaly.

The man had been speaking very strangely after all.

But after receiving the punishment, they found out it was actually true.

The games had somehow become mixed together.

And now there were Level 3 to Level 6 demigods participating.

The punishment had been so severe because he had already killed a few people before as well.

It was the same man who had appeared when Vritra pretended to be killed.

Anne and Red Moustache looked at one another and then at the other players.

All ten of the Level 3 demigods were present there, while only four of the Level 4 demigods remained, one having died not long before.

”Tch, could it be related to that news?” Anne thought for a moment before speaking in confusion.

”Oh right, I have also heard of that, m-ma’am. The event in which all the gods were heavily punished when a group of ten broke into a game.” The Level 5 demigod spoke.

The man looked very tame now.

He had been quite full of himself earlier but didn’t even dare look at them directly anymore.

Anne could kill him with a snap of her fingers.

Whether she received punishment or not didn’t matter.

But his life certainly did.

”Hmm. It could be them. Those weaklings dare to mess with our game now!” Anne was full of rage.

She couldn’t help but remember those eleven people.

Could they be them?

And if so, what about the eleventh one?

”U-Uhm, we shouldn’t be standing outside right now. Things are going to get dangerous. We need to hide inside the buildings.” One of the Level 4 demigods spoke.

”Right, let’s go inside. We will deal with this later, but first we have to kill those bastards!!” Red Moustache roared.

Even if he couldn’t use his energy, his physical strength alone was enough.

Without wasting any time, the group of seventeen walked into Night Corp.

All the people of this planet seemed to have already disappeared, or perhaps they had simply returned to their homes.

The surroundings and all the buildings were completely empty.

’Flag and Hide, that is our game. It didn’t say we would be safe once we entered a building. Whatever is trying to hunt us will continue searching for us.’ The Level 4 demigod thought, still saddened by the loss of his friend.

The seventeen couldn’t find anyone on the first floor.

Anne couldn’t even use those people as puppets since they had disappeared too.

”Let’s go up. The golden dot is up there.” Anne took the lead as they searched each floor and continued climbing.

Soon they arrived in front of an office.

The sign on the board read:

’Emp. Dracon’

”I think they are inside.” Anne whispered.

She doubted that killing these people would give her any penalties even if they weren’t anomalies.

Still, she gestured for the Level 5 demigod to go first.

The man gulped and nodded.

He grabbed the doorknob and slowly turned it before peeking inside.

There was a man leaning back against the table as if he had been waiting for them.

”There is someone inside,” he whispered.

Frowning, Red Moustache kicked him in the backside and threw him into the room.

”KIAAAAAA!”

The man let out a terrified scream.

He hadn’t always been like this, but after meeting those two monsters, he had become quite meek and fearful.

”Who are you!!” he shouted while trying to regain his balance.
