Chapter 891: Warm Welcome

The ten gods waited right outside the world prison, their expressions grim and impatient.

”If they die, we will enter and collect our things but somehow if they survived, we can just bring these special guests back.” The burly god spoke, his tone menacing and filled with dark anticipation.

Although normally, demi gods of level 7 would undoubtedly die after six months in that prison but there was still a chance that those six had survived.

After all, they had Evelyn’s backings.

It wasn’t long when the doors of the world prison opened and exactly ten people walked out, all of them stumbling and disoriented.

”They are indeed alive!” one of the god exclaimed, but was not too surprised, his expression hardening.

”Let’s go greet them.” The baby god hurried forward eagerly, his hatred for the divine and his success was immense and consuming.

All nine of the gods looked towards the book god, who had already started to deduce exactly what had happened with his vast knowledge.

Why would these ten people self destruct so deliberately and completely?

His frown deepened severely and quickly the book god came to a conclusion.

As he muttered, the other gods stood silently, listening intently.

”Those 10 never entered the prison, instead that woman had sent someone else in their place as duplicates. By killing them now, all evidence will disappear completely and those ten will be free as ever.”

The more the other gods listened, the more their expressions twisted with realization and anger.

But then, the oldest god asked gravely: ”But, with us, how can there be no evidence at all?”

”Yes, aside from us, now no evidence is left remaining so all they have to do is...” the book god left his word hanging ominously.

”And the best way to get rid of us is by challenging in a God’s war and defeat us, taking our status which will make us plummet and also killing us during the war.” The book god finally finished his grim explanation.

All ten of them were so angry, they had been played yet again so thoroughly.

”Let’s just go and report this before they have the chance to challenge us formally.” The biggest god spoke in his explosive voice with urgency.

But in the next moment, the bodies of the ten gods started to glow with brilliant light and then slowly dissipated into nothing.

They could only sigh in resignation.

These changes indicated unmistakably that they had already been challenged formally to a god’s war.
