Lord Shadow

Chapter 1945 1945: That Hand

Even though he is so weak right now, that even a bolt of lightning could disperse him into motes of energy like dust, because of the blessing of the Heavenly Will, he could remain hidden

And it is also because of the Heavenly Will power that he could maintain corporeal form

If not, he might be like some kind of translucent ghost. That would take too much time for him to regain his energy

”my choice of going back to Earth was right” he thought to himself.

He did not hesitate when that time comes.

At the edge of time and space, he made a decision, his heart and soul was guided by that decision and of the many worlds he could have chosen, of all the many time space he could have picked, he was steadfast.

It was like an intuition. To break the death road in front of him, Earth have that one chance

There was many other worlds he saw in the tunnel of space and time

High energy worlds. Powerful worlds. Empty pockets of dimension scattered all over the Omniverse

But he did not choose any of those.

Because after talking to Wargod, Odin and many other powerful beings in the past, he already had grasped something

Earth is under a protection.

Even Wargod would think twice to go to Earth.

Even Odin had to suppress his powers and the importance of this small rock sailing the dark space is more important than anyone thought

Poseidon only dares to send a trident.

There might be many other powerful supreme beings that wanted to meddle in the matters of Earth, yet, their schemes and intrigue is thwarted by this protection that Earth possess that they could only do things cautiously

He was betting at that time. Betting that if he ran to Earth, that hand could not follow him here

If he ran top any other worlds, maybe that hand would continue pursuing him.

This is just his speculations.

But he believes that his speculation is right.

That hand was not constrained by anything.

Everything froze. And when Azief said everything, it means everything. Space time is also frozen

This is not a simple freezing of time.

He freezes time in the time space continuum tunnel, the supremacy of time and space is there.

Not a timeline, or a simple fragment of time, but time of all the Universe, the One and Only True Timeline, is also there

And even that was frozen solid.

If not for that foreign energy around him, he could not have mobilize the power of time and space to even run

What does that mean?

It means that hand freezes the source of the law. Asargan source of law that powers all Speedster was frozen by that hand

And not only the law of momentum, all laws was frozen, all rules were suppressed. All…. means all.

Not a particular rule of a world, or a universe, or a dimension, but the whole of the Omniverse, all of those rules and laws were suppressed by one hand.

That is terrifying!

And Azief, an Essence Creation realm leveler, a veritable powerhouse even in the vast Omniverse is reduced to such form only be being hit by the aura of that hand

Not that hand itself. Just its aura. If the aura alone is that powerful, Azief shudder to think what would happen to him if that finger of that hand touches him

He doubt he would survive such attack.

Azief close his eyes and began breathing.

”the faster I get out of this place the better”

Water enter his nose but it did not flood his lungs or his throats.

Instead, it dissipated into energy.

The energy of the sea, the energy of the Earth, of heaven all is gathering around him

There is no spirals of energy or any divine phenomenon in the sky.

The higher his realm goes, the more natural his method.

If in the past, such massive absorbing of energy of the heaven and earth would surely create a tornado of energy that would alarm everyone from afar.

But now, the energy he is gathering is more than he had ever gathered during his Disk Formation but there is only a slight ripple around him

He closes his eyes and then opens it once in a while.

In just a few hours, his right hand has already been formed.

The sun sets and then it reached night. Azief did not sleep

He keeps draining the energy of the heaven and earth.

It is steady and the longer it goes, the more stable it became. It was only the beginning where Azief absorbs a massive amount of energy

But now, he is just making sure that the energy is absorbed and not create a shock.

Because right now he does not know where he is. And he does not dare use his Divine Sense.

The moment he uses it, the Heavenly Will could see some clues and might try to locate him

There is also a chance that some levelers would be hit by his Divine Sense and sense him.

If itʼs an ally, it would be good.

But if itʼs an enemy…. that would be catastrophic for the world

Azief on Earth is the Death Monarch. He rules Pandemonium.

The reason why Pandemonium is the number one power in the world is because of him

It might seem like he has allies all over the world.

After all, the Republic and the World Government are allies of Pandemonium

If he is now in the World Government territory, Azief is quite sure Hirate considering the big picture would save him and nurse him back to health.

Because the tripartite alliance of Pandemonium, the Republic and the World Government is beneficial for Hirate.

There is skirmishes but this is not in the open and none of the three wanted to start a world war. The Hirate of the past probably would find ways to kill him.

But the Hirate after the Weronian War was a different person.

This did not mean he become selfless.

He still has his selfishness.

But he would also think about the world

Because he knows his words could mean the life and death of tens of thousands of people. This numbers used to mean only numbers in the eyes of Hirate in the past

In the Weronian War however, he sees this ”numbers” and knows their story and share their sufferings.

He had seen these ”numbers” and know that even if one is lost, that means the loss of one soul.

That is tragic.

It is the same for Azief.

”if this is the Republic territory?” Azief thought for a moment and he sighed in his heart

”Boris is not a generous man” he thought to himself.

. Boris is a selfish man. Azief is quite sure that Boris would sacrifice the world for his sister.

But fortunately, enough, the Republic is not a one-man rule. Jean is there and Katarina is there. He did not have to worry.

But what about the other four great powers?

What if this shore he is stranded on is inside the region of the Crime Alliance?

Or one of the gangs and organization that has sprouted like mushroom since the world become too big for any world power to supervise completely?

Some of this people and organization would probably try to kill him. The wise among them would use him to command the powers of the world

Some would use him to threaten his people and his power.

And some might not care about all of this and would just kill him. Because some people just want to see chaos.

Before knowing where he is, he wanted to lay low and see the situations. And he also needs a rest.

”As long as I recover back my lower body, there is nothing I should worry about” he thought to himself

He is not bored. Sometimes, he closes his eyes. What does he do when he closes his eyes?

Dreams. He dreams. He might not sleep but he does dreams. And in his dreams, he saw many things.

And then sometimes he opens back his eyes. Trying to grasp what dreams is he dreaming and what could he remember. Some he remembers vividly and some is like a smoke being fanned away by the wind

And before he knew it, looking up the sky from the bottom of the ocean bed, he could see that the setting sun disappeared replaced by the darkness of the night.

The moon appears in the sky, moonlight illuminate the surface of the water.

And a few hours later, even that light seems to become faint and the darkness of the sea envelops him.

But Azief could see just fine.

It is like his eyes could see as clear as it was day

It depends on his desire.

As for the aquatic life that become active in the night, they instinctively avoid the place where Azief is lying down.

By now, he already has his right leg.

”By dawn” he thought to himself.

By dawn, he would be able to walk again.
